Perry Auto & Truck Repair Introduce
Perry Auto & Truck Repair, located at 3310 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, OH 44646, USA, functions as a local auto repair station catering to both passenger vehicles and trucks. As a business categorized under "Auto Repair Stations," it provides a range of services and potentially some associated goods for sale, aiming to address the diverse automotive needs of the Massillon community and surrounding areas. This introduction offers an objective overview based on available public information, including customer reviews.
Situated on Lincoln Way E, Perry Auto & Truck Repair benefits from a prominent location in Massillon, Ohio. Lincoln Way E is a significant thoroughfare, suggesting good accessibility for customers traveling from various parts of the city and nearby towns. As a standalone auto and truck repair shop, the environment is likely practical and functional, designed to accommodate vehicles of different sizes. While specific details about the waiting area, customer amenities, or the interior aesthetic are not provided, it is generally expected that a local repair shop would offer a basic reception area for customers to drop off and pick up their vehicles, and discuss service needs with staff. The focus of such establishments is typically on the mechanical work itself, with the environment being geared towards efficient service and repair operations. The nature of an "auto & truck repair" facility implies a robust setup capable of handling larger vehicles and more demanding mechanical work compared to a typical car-only repair shop.
Perry Auto & Truck Repair positions itself to offer comprehensive maintenance and repair services for both automobiles and trucks. This broad scope indicates that they are equipped to handle a variety of vehicle types and issues. Based on common offerings for an "Auto Repair Station," their services would likely include:
- General automotive diagnostics and repair
- Engine repair and maintenance
- Brake system inspection, repair, and replacement (pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines)
- Suspension and steering system repair
- Tire services: including sales (though possibly in sets), installation, balancing, rotation, and flat repair (plugs)
- Oil changes and fluid checks/replacements
- Electrical system diagnosis and repair (e.g., battery, alternator, starter)
- Air conditioning and heating system service
- Pre-purchase inspections
The name "Auto & Truck Repair" specifically suggests expertise in handling the heavier-duty requirements of trucks, which may include diesel engine services, commercial vehicle inspections, and specialized truck component repairs. While explicit details on parts inventory are not provided, as a repair shop, they would either stock common replacement parts or have reliable access to a supply chain for various auto and truck components necessary for their repair services. The availability of tire services, as mentioned in customer reviews, confirms that they handle essential tire-related needs, although with noted specifics regarding sales in sets.
The customer reviews for Perry Auto & Truck Repair highlight significant variability in experiences, presenting both positive and highly concerning aspects of their service. This duality is a key feature of the business as perceived by its patrons.
One customer initially had a positive experience, stating that the shop called with an estimate before any work started, and the job was "finished and done right," leading them to plan on using the service again. This indicates an initial positive impression regarding transparency and quality of work. However, this same customer provided a significant update, detailing a "terrible experience" during a subsequent visit. They explicitly stated that the shop "lied to me and said I needed things I had just replaced less than 2 months ago!!" Furthermore, the repair of calipers and a brake line reportedly took three days. This second experience led the customer to question the previous job and price, and concluded with a strong warning of "Buyer beware if you are going here," due to catching the shop in an "obvious lie." This review strongly suggests potential issues with honesty and diagnostic integrity, which are critical concerns for any auto repair station.
Another customer shared a negative experience primarily focused on tire sales and pricing. They were informed that tires were only available in sets of two or four, even when only one was needed. After purchasing two tires and having one installed, they discovered that their original tire only needed a plug for a nail, which would have been a significantly cheaper fix. They were then quoted an additional $40 to switch the old tire back and $15 for a plug, perceiving this as being "robbed" and labeling the business owner a "crook." This review points to potentially opaque pricing structures, a lack of transparent advice regarding repair options (e.g., offering a plug instead of a new tire if appropriate), and high additional charges for basic labor, which can erode customer trust.
These reviews collectively paint a picture of a business where some customers may experience satisfactory service and transparency, while others encounter significant issues related to perceived dishonesty, unnecessary repairs, prolonged repair times, and questionable pricing practices. The core feature, therefore, is the inconsistent customer experience, with strong allegations of deceptive practices from some patrons.
Based on the provided information, there are no specific promotional details, discounts, or special offers explicitly mentioned for Perry Auto & Truck Repair. Businesses in the "Auto Repair Stations" category often rely on word-of-mouth, competitive pricing, and building a reputation for reliable service to attract and retain customers. Given the varied customer feedback, it is essential for prospective customers to exercise caution and potentially seek multiple opinions or estimates before committing to significant repairs. Direct contact via phone at (330) 479-0900 or +1 330-479-0900 would be the primary way to inquire about services, obtain estimates, or discuss any potential pricing structures. Without further information, it is not possible to detail any ongoing promotions or unique selling propositions beyond the general repair and maintenance services for autos and trucks.

Called me with an estimate before any work was started and then it was finished and done right. I will use them again.Update! I went again and had a terrible experience. They lied to me and said I needed things I had just replaced less than 2 months ago!! It then took them 3 days to repair calipers and a brake line. I don't know what happened here but when you lie to me, I'm done. I now question the previous job and the price. I guess I now must assume every mechanic is crooked and a cheat? I don't want to view the world like that but what else can I think after catching them in an obvious lie? Buyer beware if you are going here.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE. First of all, I never write reviews on products or services unless it is very good or very bad. I just do not want anyone to get ripped off like I did. I took my vehicle to the shop approximately one year ago for a brake job. I was told I needed brakes and rotors and paid him accordingly for the job. I will not go into detail about the prices as I did not complain at the time. A month ago, I start to hear a noise of metal on metal coming from my front tires. I drive very little and had maybe 8,000 miles on the brakes at this point. I then took my vehicle to another location further away, but to someone who is very credible. I was informed that my brakes pads were not only installed backward and upside down, but they were the wrong size to begin with. The pins were then forced into place more than likely by hammering. I, like many of us, work hard and make an honest living. Please do not take your hard earned money to this man who is obviously a crook and takes advantage of people.

Bad experience. Be smart read the review. It is accurately represented. I went in for an Estimate. Brian said the front end coil Strut assembly was $450 and he would not put my part on the car. So I asked him to call my part guy his self. He asked who? When I told him he claimed that is who he just on the phone with. With that being said. I called & the parts for both sides is $244. Perry repair quoted $735 for the job. For those reading this that are unaware, it's a 45 minute job tops (per side) and thats at home in the driveway. Not in a shop with all the bells and whistles. So recap.. He doubled the price of the parts and the quoted another $300 for the labor. Hopefully this review will make the shop more honest and save at least a few people's hard earned money.

Went in to have my brakes checked on a vehicle I just got. Was told i would be $1,100 for parts and labor. I called the guy I got the car from and he said to bring it to him and he would check it out. Brian told me the vehicle was not safe to drive, but I did not have $1,100 to fix the brake pads and rotors. The guy I bought the car from said it was a blown ABS fuse and that the brake pads and rotors were fine. Which he showed them to me and the pads themselves looked almost brand new because they were barely worn down! So what was a cheap fix Perry Auto was going to charge me $1,100 for.
