I initially stopped and got an estimate for a couple rust spot repairs on my 2011 Dodge Ram. A few weeks later after getting a couple more estimates decided to use this shop for my repair. I called him back again and he answered the phone but basically hung up on me when I questioned why the truck was not being worked on or finished and why he didn’t call me back. I went to the business and confronted him in a very political and calm way. At first he was short with me but I kept my calm and we agreed that he had other priority work to get to. We have taken our vehicles to Randy Pencil for 20+ years for any body work we’ve needed but we will no longer go here. After waiting for over 2 months to wait for him to have time to work on our vehicle, he finally got our vehicle in. Although he kept telling me he’d be ready for it “in a couple of days” four times and I had to keep suspending my rental car. Once he had the vehicle it was a job that was supposed to take only 3 days. Instead he had it for 15 days. When I called on day 9 to check the progress, he told me he had 6 cars in there he was trying to get done. When I explained in a very rational and calm voice that I needed my vehicle he began screaming at me on the phone and hung up on me. Again when I picked up the vehicle I very calmly told him that I wasn’t pleased with the service and he screamed at me as I was walking out the door. We will never do business here again and if you need your vehicle serviced promptly I advise you to take your car somewhere else. He was very unprofessional!
