If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Gave them a list of broken items on my truck. I was immediately put on the back burner. I had to wait weeks for a diagnosis. I was out of town so I did not mind but the expectation was that they would do the repairs while I was out of town. They attempted to fix a couple of things and during the process they broke more things. They fixed my door locks but broke my door panels. When I pointed out to them that they were broken. I was blamed for breaking them by the person who got my car from the back. The owner told me that they would fix them and no longer answer my calls or texts. During the trouble shooting process for an electrical issue they broke my remote car starter and my radio controls on my steering wheel no longer work. They said that they resolved a shaking issue at highway speeds and it still shakes. They also make you pay for parts in advance of the repair which I have never experienced at any other mechanics shop. I cant express the frustration that this place has caused me and I hope that this review helps you not make the same mistake.

Recently, my car broke down unexpectedly while I was in town doing some holiday shopping. Not being from Chapin, I was at a loss for where to go to get reliable, informed and responsible service. AAA recommended Old School Auto Service and boy, was I glad they did. Not only were they respectful, informative and up front about the work that needed and could be done on my vehicle, they went above and beyond to ensure my car was safe for the road again. While I would hope all mechanics would follow those values, what I had not expected but was blown away by was the compassion and kindness that they showed me. Clearly, having my car break down in a town I am not familiar with was scary and stressful, but each communication I had with Old School Auto about my car's tow being late was met with completely kindness and understanding. One message that they continued to push was "just get here safely". It meant the world to me that these folks who had never met me wanted to ensure that my safety was kept in tact. Once I went to pick up my car, they were detailed in explaining the issues with the car and never once spoke to me as if I didn't know what was going on. When I had a question, they answered it fully and did not treat me as if I was not capable of understanding the concerns. I felt respected and taken care of--something that I find to be rare in most major chain mechanics this day and age. I was charged fairly too--no upselling, no price gouging, simply fair and honest and completely reasonable. Old School Auto is the place to go for reliable, informed service with folks who truly care about you and your car's needs. They are willing to work with you, ensure you are taken care of however they can. They explain the concerns and work in detail and treat you as someone who is just as competent as they are. They are fair in their pricing and all around a wonderful place to go. I would proudly recommend Old School Auto Services to anyone I know looking for a mechanic.

This place was a lifesaver. My daughter broke down about an hour from home. I called them (based on Google reviews), and they were able to get a tow truck there before AAA got there. Took care of my daughter and repaired her car same day. Good, honest, knowledgeable people.

Incredibly friendly and professional staff. Best service that I've ever received from an auto shop and helped me after my car stalled out. They were able to replace my alternator and air conditioning belt same day and send me on my way.
