The store's location at 801 SW 63rd St in Des Moines positions it as an accessible resource for many in the surrounding area. When considering an auto parts store, customers often prioritize convenience and the availability of parts. NAPA Auto Parts generally aims to meet these needs by stocking a wide array of items crucial for various vehicle makes and models. This includes everything from routine maintenance items such as oil filters, air filters, and spark plugs, to more complex components like brake systems, suspension parts, and engine components. Typically, NAPA stores provide a diverse selection of automotive parts, tools, equipment, and accessories. Their inventory often caters to both domestic and import vehicles, ensuring a broad coverage for the diverse fleet of cars and trucks on the road today. Customers can usually find specific parts by providing their vehicle's make, model, and year, which allows staff to locate the correct components efficiently. Beyond individual parts, NAPA also frequently stocks automotive chemicals, fluids, detailing supplies, and even specialized tools for various repair tasks.

The environment within an auto parts store like NAPA Auto Parts is typically geared towards functionality and efficient service. Aisles are generally well-organized, with parts categorized for easy Browse and retrieval. Counter service is a central aspect, where staff assist customers in identifying and procuring the correct parts. When it comes to features, NAPA Auto Parts commonly emphasizes the quality of its products, often carrying well-known and reputable brands alongside its own private-label NAPA branded items. These NAPA branded parts are frequently marketed as offering a good balance of quality and value. Another key feature of NAPA as a whole is their extensive catalog and distribution network, which means that even if a specific part isn't immediately available on the shelf, it can often be ordered for quick delivery from a regional warehouse. This extensive supply chain is a significant advantage for both professional repair shops and individual customers.

However, it is important to acknowledge that customer experiences can vary, and online reviews offer valuable insights into the specific nuances of a particular location. For prospective customers, this information suggests that exploring other NAPA locations or alternative auto parts providers, such as O’Reilly Auto Parts across the street, might be a consideration if customer service is a primary concern. It underscores that while the brand offers a wide range of products, the individual customer experience can be highly influenced by the staff and their approach to service.

Unless you’re in the mood to be talked down to, insulted or just ignored, my suggestion would be to go to another NAPA location or the O’Reilly across the street.

Did as much homework as I could on line decided to go to Napa on 63rd in person. When I walked in the gentleman that came from the back never acknowledged me so I walked around, giving him the benefit of finishing something assuming that was why he did not acknowledge me. What little acknowledgment I did get “what can I do for you”. I mentioned that I wanted to see if they had some things in stock. He looked at me and then looked around the store! Like yep we do! Did not bother to ask what vehicle or how he could help! Mind you according to the website I already knew what should be in the store. Knowing this is not always accurate is why I drove 30min to the store to verify! Napa not only lost about a $200 plus sale today but I will never walk in that store again! I own a 97 pick up, 70 c10 pickup , 64 Nova, 49 5window Chevy, and 06 Malibu, my point here is these are older vehicles that do and will need work and Napa on 63rd(if any Napa) will not get a dime of my money! What happened to customer service, it’s no wonder people shop on line. I know I will order everything I was looking for on line now and not from Napa! (Water pump (will get chrome now), radiator hoses upper and lower, thermostat, thermostat housing, antifreeze, all gasket needed.). It’s a shame that a “hello how can I help” is not trained to people any more. I want to apologize for putting him out and expecting him to do the job that he has!

The staff was so oblivious to the customers that while I waited 20-25 min in line to pay when I was the only person in line.. they got robbed twice… they didn’t even notice until I pointed out after the fact that they had been robbed absolutely deplorable

Clearly unwelcome by sole employee, he said he did not have the tool to help with needing a battery in my key fob. Best to go to O'Rielly across the street, they have the tool (screwdriver) and were very happy to help me out. NAPA must be more just for getting parts to shops, not for retail customers.

Great place to get parts that you are missing or need to replace. If they dont have it at the store they can have it there really quick. The staff is always there to help and ask questions if needed. The shelves are stocked well and everything is in place. Usually have a good sale on things if you are just looking around. I stop here to get my oil and filters as needed and they usually have a good stock of items to chose from.
