Maaco Auto Body Shop & Painting

I am so glad I went to Maaco. They were about half the price of the other guys just a few doors down and the service was super friendly. Luis gave me some deals I couldn’t resist and kept me updated with the process the entire time. I love my paint job and have gotten many compliments. I did pay extra for the extra polishing and I’d recommend you do the same since you’re already spending the cash on a paint job.

Used Maaco for the first time. Had them paint and prime my Camper shell for my truck. Was an older model so it took a couple tries but they were able to find a good match and it came out great. I especially appreciate Leonardo for the time he took to help me through the process

I want to give this Maaco San Marcos a 5 star review. This professional paint and body shop is occupied by highly skilled craftsmen and they work as a team, They go through the steps with you on their paint procedure and body work. They have a great metal repair man doing body work and a skilled painter and masker who was able to make my stripes. I was overwhelmed with the finish of the paint job. I went to cruisin grand after the work was done and received many compliments on the paint. This is a great shop its the only place to take your vehicle they are honest and have great prices . Ask for Leo or Luis they will take good care of you !!

I brought my car in for a passenger door and back bumper repair. I dropped the car off the day before Christmas and was able to get it back the Saturday after New Year's. Considering the 2 holidays that occurred while my car was there, I'm very happy with how long it took. Not only that, but the door looks brand new and the color matches perfectly. And I have a new back bumper that is completely attached (the other one was not the right bumper). I'm very happy with the way the repairs were done and the time I was without my car.

I had two vehicles painted at Maaco in San Marcos, both look like brand new cars. Leo and Nestor (staff) were friendly, professional and courteous. The turn around time was fast and Maaco had the best price in town.

100% satisfaction, took my 1990 dodge van here for a paint job. Needed it finished pretty quick as it was to be apart of my wedding party arrival! It turned out better than I could have ever imagined, you cant beat the cost and the quality was better than expected. I recommend it to everyone who compliments my van! Which is just about everyone🙌

The good news is I'm happy with the color I picked, and how nice the guys are that work there. But here's the bad news - I came in a couple times to ask multiple questions before I made the appointment to get my car painted at Maaco. The guys behind the desk were very nice and patient with my numerous questions. I decided to go with the second highest package, with a complete color change, and paid the extra $1000 to have the door jams painted too. I showed up to the appointment with complete confidence that I was going to get great results. When I came to pick up my car I noticed: • Several spots were not painted the new color at all. (By the windshield, on the bumper, under the bumper, door jams, under hatchback) I was told the under the hatchback wasn’t painted because the gun didn’t fit. What?? • There were pry mark dents all around the emblem on the hatchback, and just painted over. • The paint was heavy in some spots and barely on other spots. • There was a lot of debris in the paint that dropped on it while it was drying. It looked as if it was not painted in a paint booth. • There were places smudged down to the metal while the paint was still wet. I had to leave my car there two extra times for them to fix body work or paint issues. After coming back the third time to pick up my car there were still several issues, but I decided to take my car since things seemed to be getting worse instead of better. When I got my car home I noticed: • The “repaired” pry marks were roughly sanded, then painted again, showing deep sanding marks. • The spots that were not, or barely painted, now had heavy drip marks. • There were missing or broken parts I had to replace to be able to reassemble my car. • There were new dents on the hood, and the roof. (I took before photos to reference if needed). • Over spray on my window tint, and various rubber parts. • Over spray on, and in, my tail pipe. * Two door jams were still not painted. • The entire car has an orange peel texture. • And now, 4 months later, some paint is peeling off by the headlight.

Maaco in San Marcos did an outstanding job! I had 3 bids to do repair/body work on BMW…they beat other bids by $900! Work was completed “on time with no price adjustments”…this is second job they’ve done for me…both excellent!
