LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts Introduce

Located at 3385 Alpine Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544, USA, LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts functions within the platform category of Auto Repair Stations, primarily focusing on the sale of genuine Ford auto parts. Serving the Grand Rapids area, they can be contacted at (616) 320-5169 or via mobile at +1 616-320-5169. As a dealership parts department, they are a direct source for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts specifically designed for Ford vehicles.

Insights into the environment of LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts are limited, but one customer mentioned ongoing construction that made locating the parts department feel like navigating a maze. Despite this temporary inconvenience, the customer noted that the parts service itself was "quick and efficient." This suggests that while the physical surroundings might have been undergoing changes, the staff's ability to process parts requests remained prompt.

The primary service offered by LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts is the sale of new, genuine Ford auto parts. As a dealership parts department, they provide access to a wide range of components specifically manufactured for Ford vehicles, ensuring compatibility and adherence to the manufacturer's standards. This is a key advantage for Ford owners who prioritize OEM parts for their vehicle maintenance and repairs. While they primarily focus on parts sales, their presence within the "Auto Repair Stations" category implies they likely cater to both individual vehicle owners and independent repair shops seeking genuine Ford components.

While the focus is on parts, one customer review raises concerns about the service aspect at the dealership, advising against getting vehicles serviced there and suggesting trying another dealership if forced to use one. This feedback, though not directly related to parts sales, is important context for local users considering any interaction with this LaFontaine Ford location.

In terms of features related to the parts department, one customer highlighted that "for dealer parts the pricing is higher, but the parts are also higher quality." This is a common perception regarding OEM parts – they often come at a premium compared to aftermarket options but are generally considered to offer superior quality and reliability due to being manufactured to the exact specifications of the vehicle. For Ford owners who prioritize the longevity and performance of their vehicles, the higher quality of OEM parts available at LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts could be a significant feature.

However, other customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the service experience at this location, which, while potentially separate from the parts department's efficiency, could still impact a customer's overall impression of LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids. One review details an instance of a significant overcharge for a battery replacement, which was only rectified when the customer questioned the invoice. The customer's impression was that this was more than an honest mistake, raising concerns about billing practices.

Adding to these concerns, the same customer reported issues with vehicle retrieval, having to locate their car themselves in the lot, only to find the new battery dead due to the lights being left on. This indicates a lack of attention to detail and a potentially disorganized service process.

Another particularly troubling review describes a vehicle left on their lot for several months awaiting a back-ordered part (acknowledged as not their fault). However, upon the vehicle's return, the customer found evidence of mice infestation, standing water in the trunk submerging the spare tire, flat tires, and an overdue oil change. The customer was "astounded" by the lack of effort to clean the vehicle or acknowledge its poor condition and reported a dismissive attitude when these issues were raised. Furthermore, a check engine light came on shortly after driving the vehicle home, and the dealership was reportedly dismissive of this new issue as well.

These negative service experiences, while not directly commenting on the parts department's efficiency in selling parts, are crucial for local users to be aware of when considering any interaction with LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids, including potentially purchasing parts if they might also consider service in the future. The stark contrast between the positive feedback regarding the parts department's speed and the significant negative feedback regarding their service operations suggests a potential dichotomy within this dealership.

Given that LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts is primarily an auto parts store within a Ford dealership, their inventory would likely be extensive, covering a wide range of parts for various Ford models, both current and potentially some older ones. They would likely have access to parts diagrams and manufacturer databases to ensure customers get the correct components for their specific vehicles. This access to a comprehensive catalog of genuine Ford parts is a key feature for Ford owners in the Grand Rapids area.

Promotional information is not provided in the given text. Local users interested in purchasing Ford parts from LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts should contact them directly to inquire about pricing, availability, and any potential discounts or special offers on specific parts or for certain customer groups (e.g., loyalty programs, repair shops). Dealership parts departments sometimes have promotions on specific parts or offer discounts to preferred customers.

In conclusion, LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids Parts, located in Grand Rapids, MI, primarily functions as a source for genuine Ford auto parts. One customer experienced quick and efficient service in the parts department despite ongoing construction, noting the higher pricing typical of dealer parts but also the perceived higher quality. However, multiple other customer reviews detail significant negative experiences with the service department, including overcharging, poor communication, neglect of vehicles left for repair, and dismissive customer service. While the parts department may offer efficient access to high-quality OEM Ford parts, local users should be aware of the concerning service experiences reported by other customers when considering any interaction with this LaFontaine Ford location. Direct contact with the parts department is recommended to inquire about specific parts, pricing, and any potential promotions.

Even during construction, where finding the parts department had me feeling like a rat chasing after some cheese in a maze, service was quick and efficient. For dealer parts the pricing is higher, but the parts are also higher quality.

Don’t get your vehicle serviced here, try another dealership if you’re forced to go through a dealership. A while back I was charged almost double for a battery replacement. There was additional service on the vehicle, so I didn’t really notice the overcharge, but when I asked if the price on the invoice covered all of the repairs the tech nervously said something along the line of “Oh you’re right, I’ll take care of that” and preceded to cut my bill in half. That could be taken as nice gesture or an honest mistake, but I assure you it felt like a situation where someone felt that they were caught in the act of something and tried to make up for it. Insult to injury, They didn’t pull up the vehicle I had to track it down in their lot. When I found it the new battery was dead because they had left the lights on. Recently, I had a vehicle on their lot for several months awaiting a back ordered part. This is not their fault. However, when I finally got my car back after the repair, there was evidence of mice in the glovebox, potentially in engine bay and standing water in the trunk, submerging my spare tire. Additionally, my tires were flat and oil way past change date. You would anticipate these issues from a car sitting on a lot for several months especially the last 2 are a given. However, I was astounded that they didn’t put in even a minimal effort to clean my now trashed vehicle or acknowledge that it wasn’t exactly ready for the road. I confronted them as politely as I could on the situation and they were dismissive. Another insult to injury, when I pulled into my driveway (5 min drive) another check engine light came on. They were also dismissive of this. I don’t want to trash a business online. However, it can be intimidating to find a reliable place to have your vehicle serviced and hopefully this saves someone the headache.

Do NOT bring your car here to be fixed !! My car has been in this shop for 4 months waiting to be fixed from a fender bender accident that happened 7 months ago . Very slow and very unprofessional the manager yells at you when you just call to check on your car . Has not put my car as priority . Still waiting another month for them which will probably be even longer as they keep giving me the run around and blaming insurance company when I have proof from insurance they have received money to fix my car . Never offered a rent a car nothing just screams at you for calling for an update . Worst place ever !!!
