Key features of LaFontaine Collision Center & Body Shop of Highland, as gleaned from customer feedback, highlight both strengths and areas for improvement. A significant positive feature is the presence of staff members who are described as **kind, warm, welcoming, and helpful**. One customer specifically praised "Michelle" for making the process of dealing with an auto accident "super easy" and for patiently answering all their questions. This aspect of customer service is crucial in collision repair, as customers are often dealing with stressful situations following an accident. The ability to streamline the process and provide clear communication at the initial stages is a definite strength.

However, another customer review reveals significant concerns regarding **communication, quality control, and overall service efficiency**. This customer reported a lack of communication regarding warranty repairs, requiring them to repeatedly call for updates and discovering that work had not been started even after a week of "radio silence." Furthermore, a part of the agreed-upon work was not completed, necessitating a second appointment and additional inconvenience for the customer. This points to potential issues in internal processes, workflow management, and final inspection procedures. The observation of "a lot of employees standing around gabbing in the front office" and a feeling of "interrupting social hour" suggests potential inefficiencies in staff utilization or a lack of focus on customer-facing duties, which can negatively impact the customer experience and perceptions of professionalism. The customer also noted a trend similar to their main dealership, suggesting a broader organizational challenge within the LaFontaine group regarding consistent service delivery.

Promotional information for LaFontaine Collision Center & Body Shop of Highland, while not explicitly detailed in the provided information, would typically include their affiliation with the larger LaFontaine Automotive Group, which often implies a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, backed by a wide network. Collision centers frequently highlight their ability to work with all insurance companies, providing seamless claims processing for customers. They may also emphasize their use of certified technicians and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure high-quality repairs and adherence to manufacturer specifications. Special offers might include free estimates, competitive pricing, or guarantees on their repair work. Customers are encouraged to contact LaFontaine Collision Center & Body Shop of Highland directly at (248) 887-4747 to inquire about their services, obtain estimates for repairs, and discuss any current promotions or warranty information. The positive feedback about helpful staff members like Michelle suggests a strong front-end customer interaction that can serve as a significant promotional asset through word-of-mouth referrals.

In conclusion, LaFontaine Collision Center & Body Shop of Highland at 1475 Alloy Pkwy, Highland Township, MI 48356, functions as a specialized "Auto Repair Station" focused on comprehensive collision and body repair. While they offer a wide array of services to restore damaged vehicles, customer experiences present a mixed picture. Strengths include helpful and welcoming staff who facilitate the initial consultation process. However, challenges appear to exist in consistent communication, timely service delivery, and thorough quality control of completed work. For local users in Highland Township seeking auto body repair, LaFontaine Collision Center offers a full range of services with the backing of a large automotive group, but potential customers should be prepared to actively engage in communication regarding their vehicle's progress.

LaFontaine Collision Center & Body Shop of Highland Customer Reviews

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Michelle today when I came in for an estimate. I spoke with her on the phone before arriving and she is such a kind, warm, and welcoming person. I appreciate Michelle for helping me with all of my questions. It’s been many years since dealing with an auto accident and she made it super easy for me.

I am posting this because it seems that the only time I get a satisfaction survey from Lafontaine, is when they think things went well during a visit. Every time I have an issue, no survey, seems funny that way. Brought my car in for some potential warrantee repairs, made an appointment to best work with my schedule. The burden of getting the work done in a timely manner fell on me. No communication was had, only after radio silence for a week on updates on the warranty inquiries and starting the work, I had to call and ask. That's when I learned no one knew anything, and the work hasn't been started. After they got going, I thought things were good, but after I took the car home, we realized a part of the work, all be it simple, was not done. So I had to schedule another appointment, take time out of my day to bring the car back so they could complete the work that they were supposed to have done. Poor communication, poor quality control on the work, and every time I stop by, I feel like I am interrupting social hour. For a place that looks busy, there are a lot of employees standing around gabbing in the front office. With all of the time on their hands, you would think they would have time to check the work being done. This trend is not much different than their main dealership. Lafontain used to be my choice, but it's time to shop around. Very disappointed.

They have been great to work with. Matt Jones has communicated well every step of the way and made the process of repairing my vehicle stress-free. When issues arose, he was quick to identify solutions and rectify the situations. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

One of the best places in Oakland county to have your vehicle repaired. They are polite and very helpful no matter why you are there. The girls in the office stayed over an hour past closing just to make sure a young mother was able to drop off her wrecked xt5 and pick up a loaner car. They even helped me drop a car inside the building. Spotting my flatbed front and rear as I backed inside. No porter or mechanic has ever cared to help out. The ladies in the front office went above and beyond to make sure I was in and out quickly. BIG THANKS to all my Ladies @ Lafontiane Collision.

Update: 9/6/2022. I have to take off a couple of stars. I had a minor ding on my fender (no paint damage) I called them and asked them if they do paintless dent repair (PDR).. They said yes, but would have to look at it. I took drove my vehicle in and the young man that looked at it said "yea, that's going to need to be fixed and painted".. I told him no, I had seen much worse and it should be an easy PDR fix.. he said "he had never seen one like that was fixed with pdr". I asked to talk to his PDR guy, and he then says they outsource some independent out of Lake Orion and Id have to arrange for him to come out. HUGE waist of my time and I was told incorrect info! I then called and actual experienced PDR shop and the PDR Tech said it was a minor ding and easy to do for $150. Lafontain was telling me a simple $150 PDR ding was going to (likely) be over a thousand dollar job of fill/repaint. How can I now trust this Fontaine shop for any future issues? Shame. Original : They repaired a minor side ding and scratch on my Enclave driver door. Flawless job, undetectable repair. They were polite, accommodating, and fast.
