While traveling over the holidays, my vehicle broke down and needed a new transmission. I broke down on New Years Eve, which was on a Tuesday evening. They were closed on Wednesday. KB'S was able to get the work started on Thursday morning, and I picked up my vehicle on Monday evening. We paid over 5K for a re-build. We were not in any position to shop around to compare prices, and we were grateful to get the work done quickly. It came with a 2 yr warranty that, unfortunately, would be difficult for us to utilize as we live in TX. The folks at KB were friendly and easy to work with. We would certainly recommend them.

I was wanting to get my sons water pump, timing belt, camshaft seal, crankshaft seal, oil pump seal and gasket done on his car. He was coming home on leave from the Airforce and I called tons of places in Jackson for quotes. I also asked a lot of my friends about the best places in town. I heard good and bad things about other places. I was getting a lot of good feedback from KB auto. I called them and got a quote and was happy with the quote they gave me. He even ordered the brand of water pump I wanted. I dropped off my sons car and he called me and told me of something’s about my car that were ok and didn’t need to be addressed. Most places would just lie and make more money. This place is an honest shop and gives fair prices and does not try to rob you. I respect that. I usually do all the work I can do on my cars because I don’t trust shops. a couple of days past and I decided to check under the hood and I saw a leak in the radiator and a leak where they did the work where the thermostat goes. It was leaking where the gasket goes. I was irritated. 1st of all if they would of done a pressure test after the work was done, they would of saw it was leaking out by the thermostat gasket and the would of seen the radiator leaking at the cracks. My son had to be back on base in a couple of days and I called them and was told they couldn’t get it back in for the radiator until the following Monday. again I was irritated, but I told my son, I guess we are doing that. We spent all night taking the front end of the car apart and stuff on the inside. We got it fixed and brought the car back so they could fix the thermostat gasket. I think this is a good shop, but things happen.I also noticed they broke a bolt on the power steering mount to get to the timing belt. No big deal, but now I’m wondering if they broke any bolts where I can’t see or if the seals were properly fitted. Only time will tell. When I did bring it back they changed the gasket and didn’t charge me (which was good) because it was something they did. The moral of this story is I wish they did a pressure test and they would have found out the gasket leaked and the radiator was cracked and leaking. I was forced to change the radiator out by myself. And the bolt they broke off the power steering bracket. I had to get it out too and replace that bolt. I put the pictures of the broke bolt they didn’t fix, the leak under the car which was the leaky gasket, and the old radiator that had cracks and was leaking. Like I said before, if the did a pressure test when the work was done, they would have found these issues. Again I think they do good work, but sometimes things are rushed. Especially when you are behind. I understand.

I took my car to the location it was purchased (I know, I know) for a noise in the front end that you could also feel in the steering wheel. They wanted over $450 for a flex coupling in the steering column. They told me the part itself wasn’t expensive, just the labor to get to it was. I have taken my previous cars to KB’s and have always been treated well. Never had the feeling that they were trying to pull one over on me or anything. I took this vehicle to them for the repair (expecting a similar cost). A pinch bolt was loose. They tightened it and CHARGED ME NOTHING. This!!!! This is why I won’t go anywhere else.

We had a blowout on our way to town, pulled in KB'S, and they put our spare on for us and did not charge us anything. Great people.

This is a company that has a fantastic owner (Kevin ) I had an issue with a diagnostic code with an oil change. There were some issues when I picked it back up. However what happened next separates KB from the rest. He called my phone after hours and personally told me exactly what was going on with my vehicle. He also had the opportunity to replace a part when I would never know. However he did what was RIGHT! Then he personally drove it himself twice then with me before I paid. Use local and use Kevin KBs auto service you will be treated right!!!!!
