Features and Customer Experience

Customer reviews provide insights into the general features and customer experience at John's Auto Repair. One positive review highlights several key features:

  • Responsiveness: The ability to quickly answer a call from a customer on the road and accommodate them swiftly. This suggests a focus on urgent needs and flexibility.

  • Problem Assessment and Resolution: Demonstrated capability to assess engine needs, source parts, and make necessary repairs efficiently, allowing customers to continue their journey.

  • Helpfulness, Kindness, and Honesty: These qualities are highly valued in the auto repair industry, building trust and ensuring a positive customer interaction. An honest assessment of vehicle needs can save customers time and money.

However, another review presents a contrasting experience, indicating some potential areas for improvement:

  • Communication Issues: The review mentions unfulfilled promises and being ignored, which can lead to frustration and a lack of transparency in the repair process.

  • Timeliness of Repairs: "Took a year to do one thing" suggests significant delays, which is a critical concern for vehicle owners needing their cars back in operation.

  • Quality of Work: The need to bring the vehicle back due to the job not being done correctly points to potential issues with the initial repair quality.

  • Warranty Concerns: Discrepancies between promised warranty (3-year) and actual warranty (90-day) can severely erode customer trust and lead to dissatisfaction.

These varied reviews suggest that while John's Auto Repair has the capacity for excellent service, as evidenced by the positive feedback, there may be inconsistencies in communication, timelines, and adherence to commitments. For local users, these aspects are crucial when choosing a repair shop, emphasizing the importance of clear communication and reliable service delivery.

John's Auto Repair Customer Reviews

On a recent drive from Cleveland to North Carolina I had some engine problems on my 2020 Suburban, after calling around from the road, John's Auto Repair quickly answered my call and said to stop in, he'd make room for me. He was able to assess my engine needs, find the part, make the repair so I could continue my drive. Incredibly helpful, kind and honest auto repair shop. Highly recommend!

Very rude unfriendly , didn’t do what he premised even though we reminded him about it several times. Hard to work with. Took a year to do one thing just to bring back because he didn’t do his job and get ignored by him. Wouldn’t recommend 2 grand not worth. Supposed to have a 3 year warranty just to be lied to and only have a 90 day one.

They worked on my mother's 1999 mercury cougar that had been setting for 8 years. He called and was very frank about what he had to do and what it could lead into because of it setting so long. My mom calls this her miracle car. Anyhow, in no time, fixed the car and was very reasonable considering it took a new fuel pump, " had to remove tank" , an oil change, a new dipstick from Ford, and a new battery. I've driven it for several days now, doing great. I would highly recommend and will use again and again.

On short notice, they took my car in and repaired it very quickly. They could have lied and said I needed the part replaced, but it just needed clamped replaced. Then advised me that I only had so many miles left on my brakes. Very friendly and I was very impressed with how accommodating they were.

Fair, honest, and honest. Will take the time to explain and listen and doesn’t stick you with the price. Hard to find a HONEST mechanic with integrity.
