Image Collisions of Greenville Customer Reviews

I'm so confused by the negative reviews. I'm new to the area and, honestly, haven't had the best of luck with customer service around here. I had the opposite experience with Image, where my car was taken after a wreck simply because I told my insurance carrier I had no familiarity with any body shop in town. I worked mostly with Amy Crane, and the only "card" she played with me was that of a genuine, professional and accessible customer service provider. My car was deemed a total loss by my insurance company, so I ended up not having repairs done at Image, but Amy went above and beyond to keep me informed, accommodate my requests, and put my mind at ease. I dealt with probably four front desk agents, as well, and all were extremely personable. My car was located in a back lot and inspections/cleaning the car out, offered me an opportunity to be escorted through the bays. The laborers were friendly and well-spoken, and the garage was clean and organized (and very busy!). The lobby is bright and spotless, and they open at 7 a.m. (which is great if you commute and need to leave Greenville early). My experience with Image was outstanding from a communication and customer service perspective. While I can't speak to the quality of their repair work, I'd still recommend them to anyone looking for a body shop.

When I made a claim with Allstate for damage on my door (comprehensive) of my WRX, I was asked to visit this location for the estimate. I was not coerced in any way to use this shop, but after meeting the staff and understanding the convenience of the payment and car rental arrangements they offer, I decided to give them a try. Since the damage was minor, I felt it was a good opportunity since I have never had this car in a body shop yet. Amy guided me through the whole process and kept me up to date. The repair only took a few days, and the staff stayed late on a Friday so that I could take my car home for the weekend. There were a couple of small adjustments to make at that time, but they took care of it immediately. I even received nice compliments about my car. The way they detailed it before delivery really impressed me, as well. I would definitely recommend Caliber Collision (was Image Collision) for repairs going forward. Note: The only issue I encountered is that I drove off with an automotive screw in my tire. I was able to repair the tire, thankfully, but that could have been a very expensive and inconvenient ordeal to replace all of my tires (AWD). When I picked up the car, it sounded like I just had a big rock in the tread. Just check your tires, that's all I recommend.

Absolutely perfect! I received an estimate over the phone and through email from Brett, who was very kind and helpful. I dropped my black 2011 Mustang off to have the trunk lid painted at 7 am on a Tuesday. I was told it would be ready by Friday or Monday, however, I received a call at 5 pm that same day letting me know that my Mustang was finished! When I arrived, I spoke to Haley (the manager) who was very nice. She let me know that since it was a small repair, she went ahead and got my car in the shop. They pulled my car around and the trunk looked brand new - the paint exactly matched. In addition, they washed my car, vacuumed my car, and touched up some scratches for free. Thank you so much!!!

I, too, took my car to Image at the behest of Allstate. The car was in a front end collision. I later found out that, despite replacing the brackets on the radiator, they failed to replace the radiator itself. This, despite the fact that it had a large crease in it, that was leaking. In fact, I found that out when I went to have it flushed and the mechanic advised me it was to dangerous to do so. A side view mirror fell out, but was never replaced. I had to take the care back for the headlights THREE times. They were not properly installed. This meant that the low beams were both incorrectly aimed, leaving the area in front of the car one dark void, yet the sidewalk or lane next to the car were very well lit. The high beams were placed into the reflector WITHOUT the brackets. That means that they kept falling back into the engine compartment and were actually dimmer than the parking lights. The passenger has not sat flush since they worked on the car. The body work was so poorly done, that the trim on the doors bow out each time you open them. Additionally, much like another customer mentioned, I took my car in to try to have the light situation rectified only to be stuck with a repair bill after the alternator suddenly went. Now, the car started when we took it in. It started when the girl drove it back into the garage to have them fix the lights (which they had left the brackets off of once again). When they came back out we found that they had to jump the car to get it out of the garage. They tried to send us home with the car, asking my mother to come back when the new radiator came in. However, after much mincing about (this place is painfully disorganized) they sent her home with a rental car that ended up costing us $20/day + tax out of our pockets. They then agreed to fix the alternator for cost (I feel there should have been no charge for this service). All told it cost me nearly $250.00 additional because Image Collision failed to fix my car correctly the first TWO times I brought it back to them. I would be glad to show the work they did on my car to anyone who may be considering their services. I implore and beg of anyone thinking about taking your vehicle here, please do not. I have another friend who had her car repaired here and she also has a door that no longer sits flush. To call their work sub-par would be the larges understatement I have made all year. Buyer beware, they clearly care more about the design of their lobby and waiting area than they do about the quality of their work.

Very dissatisfied with service. Would not do business with them again or recommend to others. I was involved in a minor parking lot accident that required my passenger side door to be replaced. This was a GEICO recommended repair shop so I brought my car here. Upon replacing my damaged door, the guys doing the repairs decided to keep the interior panel from my damaged door and install it onto the replacement door (guess the replacement wasn't an exact match). When I went to pick up my car, the interior panel had been badly damaged and was barely hanging on the door. Whoever worked on this clearly wasn't familiar with what they were doing and tried to pull the interior panel off without first properly removing the screws holding in it place. As a result, the panel was ripped out from its screws and I could no longer open or close the door from the inside. They also returned it with several of the screws missing (really guys??). When I confronted the manager and then the owner about this, they said the door was already damaged like that when I brought it in and refused to replace it and accused me of lying about it saying he believed his technicians word over mine. Later on they offered to split the cost of a new panel 50/50 but never followed through with their promise and made no attempt to even find a replacement panel. I got tired of dealing with this company and decided to repair the panel myself. As far as quality of work, I had to bring my car back in 3 different times before they painted the exterior correctly (had streaks, globs, etc.) Huge hassle and waste of my time dealing with this repair shop. If you do decide to do business with this company then I highly recommend taking detailed pictures of your vehicle before allowing them to touch it.
