Heal's Glass Introduce

**Heal's Glass**, situated at **89 Jersey Ave #4, Port Jervis, NY 12771, USA**, is a local business specializing in various glass repair and replacement services. While the platform category is "Auto Repair Stations," Heal's Glass's primary offering, as indicated by the reviews, extends beyond just automotive glass to encompass residential and potentially commercial glass needs. This broader scope positions them as a versatile provider for anyone in the Port Jervis area requiring glass solutions.

The environment at Heal's Glass, based on customer interactions, appears to be that of a smaller, locally-operated business. This typically means a more direct interaction with the owner or a small team. The positive review highlights a professional and efficient service delivery, even in a home setting, suggesting that their on-site service capability is a key aspect of their operational environment. However, the negative review paints a picture of an unpredictable and challenging in-shop experience, where business hours are not consistently adhered to, and customer service can be confrontational. This suggests that while they offer convenient services like on-site repairs, the physical shop environment and in-person customer interactions can be inconsistent.

The services offered by Heal's Glass are focused entirely on **glass repair and replacement**. Based on the customer feedback, these services include:

  • **Residential Window Repair and Replacement:** A customer specifically mentioned having "Heals come to my house to repair two windows," where they "took out the window and replaced the glass and reinstalled them." This indicates their capability to handle home window glass replacement, which is a common need for homeowners.
  • **General Glass Repair:** While not explicitly detailed, the business name "Heal's Glass" and the nature of glass repair suggest they might also handle other types of glass, such as those for doors, mirrors, or custom cuts for various applications.
  • **On-site Service:** The ability to "come to my house to repair two windows" is a significant convenience feature, saving customers the hassle of transporting large or damaged glass panes.
Given the platform category "Auto Repair Stations," it is also highly probable that Heal's Glass offers **auto glass repair and replacement** services, including windshield repair, side window replacement, and back glass replacement. This is a standard offering for businesses specializing in glass. However, the provided reviews do not specifically confirm this, focusing instead on residential window repair. The presence of a physical location at **89 Jersey Ave # 4, Port Jervis, NY 12771, USA** means customers can potentially bring items for repair or pick up ordered glass. For inquiries, customers can contact Heal's Glass at **(845) 856-8554** or via mobile at **+1 845-856-8554**.

Key features of Heal's Glass, as gleaned from the customer reviews, present a contrasting picture. On the positive side, one feature is the **quality of their repair work**. The customer who had their windows repaired at home stated, "The quality is excellent." This indicates that when the service is delivered, the actual craftsmanship meets high standards. Another feature is their **fair pricing**, with the same customer noting, "the price seemed really fair being I have no idea on window repair." This suggests a competitive and reasonable cost structure for their services. The convenience of their **mobile service** is also a significant feature, allowing them to perform repairs at the customer's location. This is particularly beneficial for large or difficult-to-transport glass items.

However, a major point of concern and a prominent feature, albeit a negative one, is the **inconsistency in customer service and business operations**. The detailed negative review highlights severe issues:

  • **Unreliable Business Hours and Availability:** The customer repeatedly found "they were never there when he'd come by" and despite calling in advance, no one was present. This creates significant inconvenience and wasted time for customers.
  • **Poor Communication:** The owner's alleged refusal to "call me so I don't waste my time" and hanging up, along with a lack of communication regarding being out on service calls, points to a breakdown in communication.
  • **Confrontational Customer Service:** The most alarming feature described is the owner's alleged "nasty attitude" and the direct threat to "FIGHT" a customer. This level of unprofessionalism is extremely damaging to customer relations and safety.
  • **Cash-Only Policy without Prior Notice:** The demand for "cash only" at the point of pick-up, without prior notification, adds to customer frustration and inconvenience.
These negative aspects significantly impact the overall perception and reliability of the business.

From a promotional standpoint, Heal's Glass benefits from the positive word-of-mouth generated by satisfied customers who praise their "excellent quality" and "fair price," leading to recommendations like "Would recommend them to anybody who needs glass repair." However, this positive promotion is severely undermined by the highly negative review, which explicitly states, "We will never use this business and will spread the word to my husband's fellow colleagues in the construction business in and around Port Jervis because this is INSANE." Such experiences can lead to significant reputational damage and actively deter potential customers. While the business may promote its services through local listings or potentially advertising its mobile service or competitive pricing, the inconsistent operational reliability and reported aggressive customer interactions present a considerable challenge to maintaining a positive public image and attracting new clientele. For local users in Port Jervis, the decision to use Heal's Glass would likely hinge on balancing the reported quality of work and fair pricing against the significant risks associated with unreliable availability and potentially volatile customer service.

If I could give this business zero stars I would. I'm actually STUNNED at the behavior of this "owner". My husband had a window to replace for a customer (he works construction) he wanted to choose a local small business so he chose Heals. First, business hours mean nothing to this person. My husband was going there days in a row trying to get the window and calling but they were never there when he'd come by. He even called in advance on Thursday and said he was coming to get it and no one was there when he went to pick it up. He spoke to the owner on Friday and said he was coming to get it and the owner said "well sometimes we're out on service calls" to which my husband replied well you think maybe you can call me so I don't waste my time to come?? They agree that my husband would come on Monday to pick it up 'first thing in the morning ' to which the owner said "good enough" and hangs up on him. Fast forward to today, Monday -- my husband arrives first thing in the morning since they open at 9 and sees they are loading up to leave. He asks for his window and the owner proceeds to give him a nasty attitude and then tells my husband it's cash only so he says ok I'm going to the ATM don't move I need this window! So he runs to the ATM gets the cash goes to pay and has to wait at the desk while this man stomps around packing up and ignoring my husband. Finally as my husband paid and leaves he says "I just want to thank you for the worst customer service OF MY LIFE" and thats when the owner got in my husband's face and said he wanted to FIGHT HIM. This is a disgrace this person is clearly unhinged on top of unprofessional. We will never use this business and will spread the word to my husband's fellow colleagues in the construction business in and around Port Jervis because this is INSANE. STEER CLEAR 🛑 🚨

I left a message for a windshield quote and it was disregarded. If you want professional service check out Superior Glass on East Main Street in Port Jervis.
