The service department at Harry's needs some training on customer service. I took my 2016 Cadillac SRX in to get the lift gate module programmed. Unfortunately they were unable to program it, and I was still charged the full amount. I called Harry's to see if I could be reimbursed for some of the charge since the programming didn't work. The service manager (Donald) returned my call and said that he needed a little time to think about the reimbursement and would call me back that same day. I did not receive a call back that day. A couple of days later I called and left a message for him to call me and I did not hear from him again. I called after Christmas to find out if I still could get some sort of reimbursement. Not only did he decline returning any money, but when I brought my car home the remote start has stopped working. I called to try and find out if they would speak to the technician to see if he thought he may have done something to the car that would have caused this issue. I explained this to the Service Adviser (Chris) and he explained to me that there wasn't anything the tech could have done to screw up the remote start instead of asking the tech about this. Very unprofessional!! We own a SRX and a CTS and I will never do business with this company. Again, I believe some customer service training needs to happen, or new people need to be put in place. Thank you.

Do not use them for service. My van was in getting a new fuel pump and level assembly (not sure why, it is a 2023). They got the job done in about 5 days (reasonable since it was around Thanksgiving)but they damaged the front end of the vehicle. Nathaniel told me he would pass on to Donald Emesty and it has been 2 weeks and still no communication with Donald. I am sure it is a case of: keep quiet and it will go away.

In September 2023, we were looking for a three-row car, as our baby was due that month. As a family of five, we needed a larger vehicle. We had previously bought a Ford Edge from Harry's on the Hill, and my family had been buying cars from them for years, considering them a reputable dealership. We couldn’t have been more wrong—it’s truly a shame. As a single-income family,we had saved our hard-earned money for a car that would fit us comfortably. We found a Buick Enclave at Harry’s on the Hill, with three rows of seating and a TV for the kids. With only 70k miles,it seemed too good to be true.Unfortunately, it was.We paid in full to avoid more debt, thinking we’d found the perfect car. We bought the car on Friday, September 8th. That weekend, while out shopping for Halloween costumes for our kids, the check engine light came on, and the car started slipping, with the RPMs fluctuating wildly, while we were parked. We immediately stopped driving it and contacted Harry’s on the Hill. They told us to bring it in, so we dropped it off 9/14 Their shop got back to us, saying they couldn’t recreate the issue. After that, they couldn’t explain why the light was on.Then they said their diagnostic machine was down.Later, it was given to their “top mechanic”, who also couldn’t find anything wrong. We picked it up, feeling frustrated and uneasy. The salesman who sold us the car told us to bring it in again so he and the manager could test drive it themselves.I dropped it off on the 9/25. After not finding any issues, they offered to make us a deal on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which would cost us an additional $5K—something we could barely afford. The little money we had left was for emergencies and our kids. They also offered a 2015 Toyota Highlander for an extra $6,500.We declined, as we had bought the car we could afford. We explained our concerns to Harry’s, saying, “We believe the issue may be the transmission, which could cost $5000 or more. We just spent around $7500 on repairs for the Ford Edge we bought last year. If the transmission or any other major issue needs repair, would Harry’s be willing to cover the cost?” They replied, “I’ll have to ask my manager, as it’s entirely at his discretion. If it were up to me, I’d say yes. If you discover something wrong, let me know the cost, and I’ll try my best for you.” We took the car to our mechanic, who provided a report detailing multiple issues. We sent this report to Harry’s, who then offered to cover only 50% up to $500. It was insulting. The manager arranged for us to take the car to their partner shop, Mr. Transmission, to avoid high repair costs at our own shop. We paid $1500 out of pocket, with Harry’s supposedly covering the rest. Then, during a drive with our newborn, 2-year-old, and 3-year-old in the car, my wife experienced terrifying transmission slips while making turns across traffic. The transmission would slip severely, taking up to 30 minutes to engage, making the car undrivable. We had the car back for about two weeks before it died again, this time due to the battery. After replacing the battery, it still wouldn’t hold a charge. Our mechanic confirmed the transmission was still faulty, despite some engine repairs he had done. We returned it again, beginning a cycle of back-and-forth visits between mechanics during an extremely stressful postpartum period for my wife.Thousands of dollars later, we even had a new engine installed. After four months, we sold our original car to fund repairs for the Buick, hoping to fix it.We even took it to two other reputable transmission shops, both of which stated that Harry’s never actually repaired the transmission. The Buick needed a complete transmission replacement. After 14 months with limited time on the road,95% of which was spent underivable or at the mechanic, we finally gave up.We had spent over $7K on a car that we originally paid $11,371.We trusted Harry’s on the Hill as a reputable dealership, only to be left with a broken car, no money for further repairs, and no vehicle. With over $18k in this car, it is now worthless.

UPDATE - changed to 3 stars because they were so caring and called me to give me a $154 refund apparently due to human error on my invoice. Original review - Giving 2 stars because the people who work here have been kind. However, this dealership will ROB you with their labor rate. I am extremely disappointed and will not be back. I needed a repair, and although it seemed high, I approved an $800 estimate (without doing my own due diligence because I needed my car fixed ASAP. I have 2 babies in daycare and work full time.) FIVE DAYS later the car was ready and the bill was $966. The invoice shows the parts only cost $150 and I was SHOCKED to see labor was $175/hr. This is Buncombe County, NC, not Miami, FL. I am new to the area and will be taking the time to find a more reasonable mechanic so I am prepared for the next time I need service. I understand dealers are generally known for charging more than a standard mechanic but this is excessive and I feel taken advantage of. I called to complain and they kindly explained the invoice to me. I realize it's my fault for not inquiring when we got the estimate, but average labor in this area $75-$130/hr. After some research, I think the job should've taken more like 2-3 hours, not 4, and certainly not several days. 1 mechanic I already spoke with said they could've done the job in 1-2 hours. Harry's was also "not able to find/unaware" of a recall problem that I have a notice about so were no help with that and now I don't know where to go for that fix because it's supposed to be done through a Buick dealer.

Everyone there was nice, especially Carl, the service advisor, he’s a really good dude. My complaint was I had an issue with a 2014 Cadillac lift gate not working. I paid $200 to be told it could be the module, wiring harness, not sure, but to attempt to fix it, I was looking at $700. Well, today I was monkeying around with it, there’s a liftgate module fuse that was blown, the tech didn’t even bother to check the freaking fuse, talk about a disinterested, uninspired, lazy tech! Seriously, said no juice was coming from the module, but couldn’t be bothered to check a simple fuse??? What a rip off, what a terrible tech, that charges $175 an hour, and someone with no experience (me) figured it out, unbelievable!!
