I come from a family that worked in the auto industry, so I know something about dealerships, and the car business. I’ve had so many different makes and models of vehicles over the years. This was by far, has been the best experience buying a car that I’ve ever had. The employees and sales people went above and beyond to find the right fit for my life, and made it happen! If I had known how fantastic Honda was, and especially Great Lakes Honda West was, I would have been a Honda customer years ago! They went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable, and understood everything. It’s about giving great customer service, and creating a relationship with the customer. I highly recommend them!

This was my third trip to Great Lakes Honda to have my 2013 Accord serviced. The first trip, they did an oil change and recommended that I get my front brake pads replaced. This came as no surprise to me and I had them replace the front brakes a few weeks later. They've also replaced my transmission fluid and brake fluid, as recommended by the service manual. This time, I was taking in my Accord to have the timing chain replaced because that's recommended at 100,000 mi and I was at roughly 104k I was really surprised when. Mike, my tech supervisor, recommended that I not get the timing chain replaced. He said that is only necessary for V6s and I had a V4. What he did recommend was replacing the serpentine belt, the gasket at the top of the engine that was leaking a small amount of oil, and some sort of shield underneath the car that had come loose. He also recommended changing the original spark plugs. Basically, Mike recommended services on my car that were roughly $200 less than I thought I was going to be spending. I authorized the work and they finished my car the same day. My 2013 Accord looks, runs, starts and feels like new. With its heated leather seats, sunroof, 6-way adjustable front seats and a stereo that blows my hair back with zero distortion, I also don't fear getting onto the freeway and having an 18-wheeler on my tail anymore. The car pulls away from everything smoothly, quickly and quietly. It's the nicest car I've ever owned and the crew at Great Lakes Honda are the Only technicians who are allowed to touch my beloved EX-L. Mike, with 26 years of experience with Hondas, was honest, informative and up front with all of the charges. His people did excellent work every single time they worked on my car. Highly recommended.

I had a mixed experience. The staff was super friendly and courteous. I believe all repairs were made in a timely manner. I don’t think my wiper blades were replaced though I asked for that, but I wasn’t charged for a service I didn’t receive. Also…my tire light came on about 3 miles outside the dealership. I did the calibration function and it hasn’t come back on. It could have just been the weather, but I found it a tiny bit frustrating.
