Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center Introduce

Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center, situated at 27410 Ford Rd, Garden City, MI 48135, USA, functions as an "Auto Repair Stations" within the local community. This establishment can be reached by phone at (734) 522-1830 or mobile at +1 734-522-1830, offering various avenues for customers to inquire about services or schedule appointments. As a Sunoco-affiliated auto center, it is expected to provide a range of common vehicle maintenance and repair services.

The environment of Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center, typical of many Sunoco Ultra Service Centers, likely combines a gas station presence with an integrated auto repair bay. This setup offers convenience for drivers who can refuel and address their vehicle's service needs in one location. While specific details about the waiting area or customer amenities at this particular location are not explicitly detailed, Sunoco Ultra Service Centers generally aim to offer a functional and clean space for customers. Given that it's a combined gas station and auto repair facility, the environment would be primarily utilitarian, focusing on efficiency for both fuel sales and vehicle servicing. However, the presence of customer reviews, both positive and negative, suggests an active engagement with the public within their operational space. The mention of a "no mask, no service" sign, even if inconsistently enforced according to one review, indicates an awareness of public health guidelines and an attempt to maintain a certain standard of conduct within the premises.

As an "Auto Repair Stations" category business, Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center offers a variety of services essential for vehicle upkeep and repair. Drawing from the typical offerings of Sunoco Ultra Service Centers, these services generally include:

  • Oil Changes: A fundamental maintenance service, ensuring engine lubrication and longevity. This often includes filter replacement.
  • Inspections and Emissions: Where applicable, they would perform state-mandated inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and environmental standards.
  • Engine Diagnostics: Utilizing specialized equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues related to the engine, often indicated by a "check engine" light. This can involve reading error codes and pinpointing the root cause of performance problems.
  • Tire Replacement: Sales and installation of new tires, including balancing and rotation, are standard offerings.
  • Air Conditioning Service: Diagnosis, repair, and recharging of vehicle air conditioning systems to ensure proper function.
  • Belt, Hose, and Filter Replacement: Routine maintenance of critical components like serpentine belts, various hoses, and air/cabin filters to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Brake Repair and Replacement: Services ranging from inspecting brake pads and rotors to full system repairs for safe stopping power.
  • Preventative Maintenance: General vehicle checks and services designed to prevent future issues and extend the lifespan of the car. This can include fluid checks, battery testing, and more.

It is important to note that Sunoco Ultra Service Centers often advertise that all car maintenance services and repairs are guaranteed for 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever occurs first), and they typically use high-quality products, including Sunoco Motor Oils, Bridgestone Tires, and Interstate Batteries. This reflects a commitment to certain standards of service and product quality across their network.

The features of Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center, as gathered from the provided information and general characteristics of similar establishments, include both positive aspects and areas of concern based on customer feedback. On the positive side, some customers have highlighted "good fair prices" and positive interactions with staff, describing individuals as "very nice" and "polite and accommodating." The convenience of a combined gas station and auto service center is also an inherent feature.

However, customer reviews also present a more complex picture. One significant concern raised is regarding the reliability and ethics of certain repairs. A specific account details an instance where a vehicle experienced issues immediately after an oil change, with the customer discovering a crucial component (throttle body) was unplugged. This type of feedback suggests that while the center may offer a broad range of services, the quality of workmanship and the integrity of diagnostics can be subject to scrutiny. The term "shade tree mechanics that just want your money" used in one review is a serious accusation that prospective customers should consider.

Another feature, based on a review, is the presence of a "no mask, no service" sign. While this indicates a policy, the customer's observation that it was not consistently enforced suggests potential inconsistencies in adherence to stated policies. This might be a consideration for customers who prioritize strict health and safety protocols.

Promotional information specific to Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center is not explicitly detailed. However, auto repair stations, particularly those affiliated with larger brands like Sunoco, often engage in various promotional activities. These can include:

  • Competitive Pricing: As suggested by one review, offering "fair prices" is a common promotional draw for auto service centers.
  • Service Guarantees: As part of the broader Sunoco Ultra Service Center network, it is likely that repairs and maintenance come with a 24-month or 24,000-mile warranty, which serves as a significant promotional assurance of quality.
  • Convenience: The integrated gas station and auto repair setup is inherently convenient, appealing to customers looking to handle multiple vehicle needs in one stop.
  • Loyalty Programs: Sunoco, as a brand, has its own loyalty programs (e.g., Sunoco Go Rewards®), which might extend to their service centers, offering discounts on fuel or services.
  • Seasonal or Package Deals: Many auto repair shops offer seasonal promotions (e.g., winterization packages, summer AC checks) or bundled services (e.g., oil change and tire rotation deals).

In summary, Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center operates as a comprehensive "Auto Repair Stations" facility in Garden City, MI, providing a standard array of vehicle maintenance and repair services, from routine oil changes to more complex engine diagnostics and brake repairs. The environment is typical of a combined gas station and service bay, prioritizing efficiency. While some customers praise the pricing and friendly staff, critical reviews highlight significant concerns regarding diagnostic integrity and workmanship, suggesting a mixed customer experience. For local users, it represents a potentially convenient option for their automotive needs, but it is advisable to consider the full spectrum of customer feedback when deciding on services.

Ford & Inkster Sunoco Auto Center Customer Reviews

Do NOT go to this place to have work done on your car! I came here for an oil change, before hand my car was running perfectly fine zero issues. I come to pickup my vehicle and my engine light is on. I asked Abe to double check everything as he may or accidentally unplugged something and he got all defensive and rude claiming he did not it’s not his fault my car is having issues.. I ended up driving home going 10MPH the whole ride because that’s the highest speed my vehicle would reach because Abe wanted to try and make some extra bucks off me.. I got home and discovered Abe unplugged my throttle body , I plugged it back in engine light was off and car was running perfect again. DO NOT COME HERE, SHADE TREE MECHANICS THAT JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!

I've been going here for years, good fair prices & the cutie behind the counter is a very nice guy! Nevertheless, having underlying conditions I stay observant. They've posted a "no mask, no service" sign but customers are walking in/out without a mask in sight. Many in society are not cooperating & without consequence. So if that's important to you, take heed.

Eddie and Abe do a good job on my car repairs and at a reasonable price. I've been coming here since before it changed owners (nearly 30 years) and am still happy to let them work on my cars. It's not white glove service and you may need to wipe a couple of greasy fingerprints off your hood, but you can mostly pick your car up the next day or sooner, regardless of what you're having done.

I would give it ZERO stars if I could!!!! HORRIBLE customer service!! & by HORRIBLE I mean freaking HORRIBLE! I got my car towed today through AAA and everything was going good until it was time for me to go get my car from the destination I asked for it to be towed to. Long story short my car was not taking to the right address several blocks from where I asked for it to be dropped off at on a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STREET I looked for it for over a hour and once I finally did find the car to move it to the right address the car wouldn't start. So I called the company & they pretty much act like it wasn't their problem and I would have to call AAA again to get the car jumped or taken to the right address! Like it was my fault my car was dropped off blocks away from where u were told to take it! Just ridiculous! Very unprofessional! I would never recommended this company to anyone after what I experienced today!!! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
