Family Auto Care and Tires Introduce
Family Auto Care and Tires, located at 5001 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146, USA, operates as a full-service establishment within the "Auto Repair Stations" category. This business aims to provide comprehensive automotive care, ranging from routine maintenance and tire services to complex diagnostic and repair work. For local users in Las Vegas, it presents itself as a potential solution for a wide array of vehicle issues, from common wear-and-tear to more intricate mechanical problems.
The environment at Family Auto Care and Tires, as gleaned from customer reviews, presents a complex picture. On one hand, glowing reviews speak of a highly positive atmosphere where "customer service is always great," and individuals like Mario are described as "an awesome guy." This suggests a welcoming and supportive front-office environment where staff are perceived as helpful and professional, creating a sense of relief and trust for customers who have struggled with other mechanics. The ability to "take a load off" customers implies a comfortable and reassuring experience. On the other hand, a critically negative review describes an environment marked by "zero customer service skills," defensiveness, and accusations, with the manager "Mario" being specifically implicated. This stark contrast suggests that while the intention might be to foster a positive, family-like atmosphere, the actual customer experience can vary significantly depending on the specific situation or interaction, particularly when issues or discrepancies arise. A traditional auto repair shop environment would typically feature a waiting area for customers and multiple service bays equipped for various types of repairs, but the core of the 'environment' is clearly shaped by the human element and interactions.
The services and goods offered by Family Auto Care and Tires are extensive, typical of a comprehensive auto repair station. These generally include:
-
Advanced Diagnostics: As highlighted by a customer who had previously visited mobile mechanics without success, Family Auto Care and Tires is equipped to perform in-depth diagnostics to accurately identify complex vehicle issues, including those related to engine performance and sensors.
-
General Automotive Repair: This encompasses a wide range of repairs, such as:
- Engine component replacement (e.g., oil pressure sensor, purge valve canister as mentioned by a reviewer)
- Brake system repair and maintenance
- Suspension and steering components
- Electrical system troubleshooting and repair
- Cooling system services
-
Tire Services: Despite the "Auto Care" in their name, "Tires" is explicitly mentioned, indicating they likely offer:
- Tire sales (new and potentially used)
- Tire installation, mounting, and balancing
- Tire repair (e.g., for punctures)
- Wheel stud replacement (as mentioned in a negative review)
- TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) services
-
Routine Maintenance: Essential services such as oil changes, fluid flushes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
-
Wheel Alignment: A service mentioned in the negative review, indicating they offer this to correct vehicle pulling and steering wheel crookedness.
The features that distinguish Family Auto Care and Tires are subject to interpretation based on the highly polarized customer feedback. Positive features, as expressed by satisfied customers, include:
-
Expert Diagnostic Capabilities: The ability to accurately diagnose and fix complex issues that other mechanics couldn't resolve is a significant feature, showcasing "highly trained professionals."
-
Effective Problem Solving: Customers appreciate their ability to correctly identify and address vehicle problems, even after other shops have failed.
-
Good Pricing: The phrase "Fixed it at a good price" suggests that their services are perceived as affordable and offer good value.
-
Exceptional Customer Service (for some): The praise for Mario and the team, describing them as "awesome" and providing "great" customer service, highlights a strong positive relationship with some clients.
However, the negative feedback presents counterpoints that must also be considered as features, albeit negative ones:
-
Allegations of Dishonesty and Lack of Customer Service Skills (for others): A severe accusation of being "liars" with "zero customer service skills" directly contradicts the positive features. This suggests potential inconsistencies in ethical practices or customer interaction depending on the situation.
-
Disputed Damage and Denial of Responsibility: The claim that additional dashboard lights (ABS, traction control) appeared after service, and that the shop denied responsibility despite evidence pointing to their area of work, is a critical issue related to accountability and repair quality.
-
Defensiveness and Accusations: The manager Mario being described as "super defensive right away and started accusing me of lying" points to a problematic approach to handling customer complaints.
-
Inconsistent Receipt Practices: The difficulty in obtaining an itemized receipt and the perception of being treated "like I was stupid" indicates a lack of professionalism in administrative aspects.
-
Potential for Additional Damage or Misalignment: The explicit mention of messed-up alignment and the car pulling to the left after service are serious quality control concerns.
From a promotional standpoint, Family Auto Care and Tires would likely leverage their location and the convenience it offers to local residents. Their positive customer reviews, which praise their diagnostic abilities, fair pricing, and excellent service, would be powerful promotional tools for attracting new customers. Phrases like "If you need a shop this is it!!" and "Don’t hesitate bring your vehicle here if you want it done right!" are strong endorsements. However, given the contrasting negative review, maintaining an active online presence to address and resolve complaints transparently would be crucial. Without specific advertised promotions, it's difficult to list them, but auto repair shops commonly offer discounts on diagnostics, oil changes, or tire packages to attract business. The phone numbers ((702) 878-8199 and +1 702-878-8199) serve as direct points of contact for service inquiries and appointments.
In conclusion, Family Auto Care and Tires at 5001 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV, positions itself as a comprehensive auto repair station capable of handling complex vehicle issues, including specialized tire services. It has garnered strong praise for its diagnostic accuracy, fair pricing, and, for some customers, exceptional service delivery, particularly highlighting the role of manager Mario. This positive sentiment suggests a highly effective and trustworthy operation for a segment of its clientele. However, it is imperative for potential customers to be aware of equally strong negative feedback concerning alleged dishonesty, poor customer service during disputes, and potential damage to vehicles during service. This conflicting information necessitates that individuals seeking services from Family Auto Care and Tires exercise diligence, perhaps by getting multiple quotes, thoroughly documenting their vehicle's condition before and after service, and clearly communicating their expectations, to ensure their experience aligns with the positive accounts.

Family Auto Care and Tires Customer Reviews
I’m so grateful for the team here. Mario is an awesome guy and customer service is always great! I brought my 2009 Cadillac SRX in to get worked done. I had mobile mechanics come to my house to fix it and they couldn’t get to the issue.. after I spent over 1,000. 00 parts and labor for a bunch of other things that really didn’t need to be done.. but oh well it’s all new.. still my suv was not turning over right away when I put gas. So I was referred by another shop which had replaced my fuel tank pressure sensor. Family auto care did a diagnostic and found out the issue. Thank Jehova God!! Fixed it at a good price. If you need a shop this is it!! Best service I’ve received since being in Vegas for 10 years. Life savors! Highly trained professionals. Thanks again guys you really took a load off me.. I have my shop now for my vehicles and that’s a blessing.. they replaced my oil pressure sensor, and purge valve canister.. if I could give you 10 stars I would! Have a blessed day.. nothing but prosperity and blessings over all!! Don’t hesitate bring your vehicle here if you want it done right! 😊😊👍🏽🙌🏽

DO NOT GO HERE. These people are liars, and have zero customer service skills. I came in to get some studs replaced on my rear left wheel. When I came in, the check engine light and TPMS lights were on in my car - but they were completely unrelated to what I needed fixing. There were ZERO other lights on the dash. When I arrived they told me to back up into the garage, so I did. When I went inside the office, they went in the car, started it, and turned it around and drove it forward into the garage. They told me it would be half hour. It took an hour and a half. I went to the front desk and paid Mario. He gave me a credit card receipt and that was it. I asked if I can get an itemized receipt and looked at me like I was stupid and said “you didn’t buy anything”. I said “you sold me installation service”. He rolled his eyes and spent 5-10 minutes typing up a recipe for me, which states “rear left” on it. I went out to the car and started it, and I see that now there are three additional lights illuminated. The ABS light, traction control light, and something else related. I immediately went back in and advised Mario at the front desk. He got super defensive right away and started accusing me of lying. He said it must’ve come into the shop like that, and that I’m trying to get free repairs. He said there’s absolutely no way that they could’ve damaged the ABS components. Well, that’s just not true. I went to autozone for a car report and sure enough, they printed out a report that said “left rear wheel speed sensor circuit”. It turns out that part is on the wheel hub, which is exactly where they were working at the shop! And in addition to all of this, they messed up my alignment too. My car now pulls to the left a lot, and my steering wheel is crooked when I’m driving straight! Obviously the shop is going to come on here and deny all of this, but please don’t believe them. Read all the other reviews on here from people who have their cars messed up by this shop. They either intentionally broke my car or they accidentally broke it and are denying it so they don’t have to fix it.

Last month, I had an electrical issue with the driver side door of my suv. Family Auto Care on W Charleston Blvd fixed it. Now, I can roll my driver side door up and down again.👍

I took my infiniti here for a rack and pinion and power steering pump and alignment job. Gave me the car back and the alignment is way off and the car was leaking. He recommended I change the hose. I bought 2 different hoses and he changed them. I took car back home and it leaked all the fluid out AGAIN. I took the car back now he refuses to work on it. I paid 780$ to get the car back in the same conditions I took it to him. And not to mention a long white scratch on my car that " they don't know where it came from" .
