Eagle Engine Sales, Inc. Introduce
Eagle Engine Sales, Inc., located at 275 Commonwealth Dr, Carol Stream, IL 60188, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category. While the name clearly indicates a focus on "Sales," particularly of engines, their categorization suggests that they may also provide or facilitate services related to engine installation, repair, or troubleshooting, or that they are a supplier to businesses that do. They can be contacted by phone at (800) 811-9328 or mobile at +1 800-811-9328.
The address, 275 Commonwealth Dr, places Eagle Engine Sales, Inc. in Carol Stream, Illinois, likely within an industrial or commercial park common for businesses dealing with automotive parts, large equipment, and wholesale operations. This type of environment is typical for companies that store and ship large items like engines. While there isn't specific information about the physical layout of their facility, it would be expected to include warehouses for inventory, shipping and receiving areas, and potentially bays for engine testing or light assembly. The "Auto Repair Stations" category might suggest a customer-facing service counter, but given the nature of "Engine Sales, Inc.," their primary interaction could be with other repair shops or businesses rather than directly with individual consumers for traditional car repair. However, direct sales to consumers for engine replacements are also possible.
Eagle Engine Sales, Inc.'s core business revolves around the
sale of engines. The customer reviews explicitly mention purchasing a "2.4GM" engine and a "marine grade engine for a 37 footer with dual engines." This indicates they specialize in providing a range of engines, including those for passenger vehicles (like the 2.4GM, likely a remanufactured or rebuilt engine) and specialized applications such as marine vessels. The reference to "long blocks" suggests they sell complete engine assemblies, which are often used as replacements when an existing engine fails.
Their categorization as an "Auto Repair Station" might be a broader classification for automotive-related businesses. However, based on the provided reviews, their primary service is the
provision of engines, often remanufactured or rebuilt, along with associated warranty services. They act as a supplier for mechanics and potentially direct consumers looking to replace or upgrade their vehicle or boat engines. The services would therefore include:
- Sale of various types of engines (e.g., automotive, marine).
- Provision of remanufactured or rebuilt long blocks.
- Processing and handling of engine warranties.
- Technical support related to engine installation or troubleshooting (implied by warranty claim processes).
It is crucial for potential customers to understand that while they are listed under "Auto Repair Stations," their central offering appears to be the sale of engines rather than hands-on vehicle repair work, which would likely be conducted by the customer or a separate mechanic.
The customer reviews for Eagle Engine Sales, Inc. provide a critical insight into their operational features and the resulting customer experience. Based on this feedback, several key points emerge:
- Engine Product Range: They offer different types of engines, including specific automotive models (like the 2.4GM) and marine-grade engines for large vessels. This indicates a diverse inventory.
- Warranty System: Eagle Engine Sales, Inc. does have a warranty system in place for their products, as customers mention engaging in "warranty re-imbursement" processes and "obtained authorization for the repair."
- Customer Service Challenges (Warranty & Quality): This is a significant point of concern based on the reviews.
- Warranty Reimbursement Delays: One customer explicitly states, "Have been waiting a month for warranty re-imbursement," and questions, "Where is my $1700.00???" This highlights a potential issue with delayed or slow payment processing for warranty claims, leading to financial strain and frustration for the customers, particularly other businesses whose "reputation is important."
- Product Quality Concerns: The review about the marine engine raises serious quality concerns. The customer points out specific technical deficiencies (2-bolt main caps, single springs on valves of a Chev 454 for marine grade) and then reports immediate operational issues ("2 noisy lifters immediately") leading to significant engine damage ("Destroyed 2 lifters and cam, metal deposits in oil pan"). The customer explicitly states, "Every other reman company I've got long blocks from have always been plug and play, no adjustments needed. I think the boat owner got the least expensive long block he could find. You get what you pay for. Beware." This strongly suggests that while their prices might be competitive ("least expensive long block"), the quality and reliability of some of their remanufactured products might be questionable, leading to additional costs and significant inconvenience for the end-user.
- Technical Advice During Issues: The advice given by Eagle to "run it a while" when lifter noise was reported immediately after installation proved to be detrimental, leading to further engine damage. This suggests a potential lack of effective or appropriate technical support during product issues.
These features indicate that while Eagle Engine Sales, Inc. supplies a range of engines, customers have experienced significant challenges with warranty fulfillment and the quality/reliability of the products, leading to financial losses and lost time. The negative feedback emphasizes potential issues with business management and product standards.
Based on the provided reviews, there is no positive promotional information available. Instead, the customer feedback serves as a cautionary tale. While the business name "Eagle Engine Sales, Inc." might suggest a focus on wide-ranging sales, the customer experiences heavily highlight potential pitfalls rather than benefits. Any potential promotional message would need to address the serious concerns raised about warranty processing and product quality.
For potential customers considering purchasing engines from Eagle Engine Sales, Inc., the existing reviews suggest:
- Caveat Emptor ("Buyer Beware"): The phrase "You get what you pay for. Beware" from a customer is a strong cautionary statement, implying that competitive pricing might come at the cost of quality and reliability.
- Thorough Due Diligence Recommended: Prospective buyers, particularly businesses or individuals needing reliable engines for critical applications (like marine or commercial use), would be advised to conduct extensive research, request detailed specifications, inquire about warranty terms in writing, and potentially seek independent verification of product quality before purchase.
- Anticipate Potential Follow-up Issues: Customers should be prepared for the possibility of technical issues post-installation and potential challenges or delays in warranty claims, as indicated by previous experiences.
In summary, Eagle Engine Sales, Inc. operates as an engine supplier within the "Auto Repair Stations" category in Carol Stream, IL, offering various remanufactured and marine engines. However, objective analysis of customer reviews reveals significant concerns regarding delayed warranty reimbursements and the quality/reliability of their products, with one customer directly advising caution due to potential issues post-purchase and less than ideal technical specifications for certain applications. These negative experiences dominate the available information and should be carefully considered by anyone looking to procure engines from this company.

Have been waiting a month for warranty re-imbursement for a rear main seal issue on a 2.4GM we purchased and installed for a customer. Jumped through all the hoops and obtained authorization for the repair, repaired MY customers vehicle as my reputation is important. And here I sit, waiting for my money. If this is any clue as to your style of business management, this will be the last engine my company will purchase from you. Where is my $1700.00???

Supposed to be a marine grade engine for a 37 footer with dual engines. Who sells a Marine grade engine with 2 bolt main caps and single springs on the valves of a chev 454? Eagle does. Havent installed it yet but I dont have great expectations. Any marine grade engine I've ever seen for this type of application has dual springs and 4bolt mains. Update: 2 noisy lifters immediately, unable to adjust to stop it. Engine was definitely primed well. Called eagle. They said to run it a while. Destroyed 2 lifters and cam, metal deposits in oil pan. They did send a partial refund but it doesnt cover the parts and labor to clean the deposits out of the pan etc etc plus the lost time on the water. Every other reman company I've got long blocks from have always been plug and play, no adjustments needed. I think the boat owner got the least expensive long block he could find. You get what you pay for. Beware

It was great working with Eagle Engine Sales! We were having a hard time finding a reman engine for a 2011 Buick Regal. I learned about Eagle Engine through advertising that came in the mail so I decided to give them a try. When I called I spoke to Octavio, they quoted me on a reman engine but unfortunately they also did not carry one but they were able to find me a NEW one for only $100 more! It also comes with a 3 year warranty and unlimited miles. Our customer was very pleased and we will be using Eagle Engines again in the future.

NOT STAND BEHIND WARRANTY - Eagle Engine Sales, Inc. of Carol Stream, IL sold me a remanufactured engine for my SUV and just months before the warranty was to run out, it started blowing through oil - approx. one quart every 700 miles. I contacted them and provided dated receipts for all the oil I had to put into it....and they refused to stand behind their product. They would not stand behind the defective remanufactured $6,000 engine they sold me and my car still blows through oil because of them. I'm waiting for them to contact me, replace my engine and stand behind their defective product.
