I called and asked if they could look at my car and give me an estimate. Pat told me the inspection would be free. I confirmed that with him before I ended the call. I brought my car in later. The next day they called and told me their estimate. I asked when I could get my car to take it for a second opinion. I was told there would be a $90 plus tax check out fee from the lot. I came to talk with them in person later and they said they never said the inspection would be free and that the check out fee was actually $70 plus tax. Both Doug and Pat got very upset, raised their voices with me, and would not let me speak. As I did not have proof of what they had previously told me, I was forced to pay the check out fee. Doug told me it would be $50 and “he’d call it even” and to come back in 20 minutes to get my car when it was ready. I did and asked for a receipt. When I went to pay him the cash he said “keep the $10 and I’ll take the $40”. I asked him if he was going to change the receipt and he said no. That was the end of my terrible experience at their garage.

Hands down the most honest mechanics I’ve come across. They do great work at a fair price and they’ll get your car back to you quickly. I took my car to another shop in town and they were trying to gouge me and I knew better than to let them work on it. Then I took it to Doug & Pat’s for a second opinion and they fixed what needed fixed and nothing more. Literally saved me $ thousands. I’ll continue to give them my business as long as I live in the area!

These guys are great. We had them look at our car because of a grinding sound. They kept it for two days. They looked at it and made a few adjustments without charging us! They are honest and fair. I highly recommend their business.

By far the best repair shop in Columbus. Not only have they saved me a lot of money compared to quotes from other businesses, but Doug and Pat give thorough explanations of potential issues and have also shown me how various parts were damaged after work was done on my car. Highly recommend.
