Collision Craft Auto Body Repair Introduce

Collision Craft Auto Body Repair, located at 536 N Grant St, Westmont, IL 60559, USA, is an auto repair station serving the local community. The facility can be reached by phone at (630) 968-6700 or via mobile at +1 630-968-6700. As an auto repair station, the business focuses on providing services related to vehicle body damage and restoration, including collision repair, paint services, and other related bodywork.

Operating within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, Collision Craft Auto Body Repair aims to offer a range of services designed to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition or address existing body imperfections. These services typically encompass various aspects of automotive bodywork. This often includes collision repair, which involves repairing structural and cosmetic damage resulting from accidents. Such work might include frame straightening, panel replacement, and dent removal. Paint services are also a core offering, where technicians work to match existing paint, apply new coats, and ensure a smooth, uniform finish. Additionally, services like scratch removal, bumper repair, and potentially even minor detailing might be provided as part of their comprehensive offerings.

Regarding the environment of the shop, based on general expectations for auto repair stations, one would anticipate a designated reception area for customer interactions, a workshop equipped with specialized tools and machinery for body repair and painting, and potentially a secure area for vehicles awaiting service or pick-up. While specific details about their waiting area or customer amenities are not publicly available, a professional auto body shop typically maintains a clean and organized workspace to facilitate efficient repairs.

One notable feature highlighted in customer feedback is the shop's claim of BMW certification. This certification suggests that Collision Craft Auto Body Repair has met specific standards and received approval from BMW to perform repairs on their vehicles. This can be a significant draw for BMW owners seeking specialized knowledge and genuine parts for their repairs. For consumers, a certification from a major auto manufacturer often implies that the shop’s technicians have undergone specialized training, and that the facility adheres to manufacturer-specific repair procedures and uses approved equipment. Such certifications can be seen as a mark of quality and expertise within the automotive repair industry.

From a service perspective, customers typically bring their vehicles to Collision Craft Auto Body Repair for various reasons related to exterior damage. This can range from minor scuffs and scratches to extensive damage sustained in significant collisions. The process generally involves an initial assessment and estimate, followed by the repair work, and finally, a quality check before vehicle handover.

Promotional information for auto body repair shops often emphasizes their expertise, certifications, speed of service, and commitment to customer satisfaction. For Collision Craft Auto Body Repair, their BMW certification is likely a key point they would promote to attract specific clientele. Other typical promotions might include assurances of paint matching accuracy, use of high-quality materials, or warranties on their repair work. Given their location in Westmont, IL, local advertising through community channels, online directories, and partnerships with insurance companies are common strategies used to reach potential customers.

However, it is important to provide an objective view, and some customer experiences, as shared in online reviews, indicate areas where the service provided by Collision Craft Auto Body Repair has fallen short of customer expectations. One customer reported dissatisfaction with the paint work on a new 2024 Toyota 4Runner, noting issues such as overspray, paint drips, lack of gloss, poor polishing, swirl marks on the vehicle body, and scuff marks after multiple attempts at repair. This experience suggests potential inconsistencies in paint quality control and attention to detail during the finishing stages of repair. The customer expressed fear of further damage, leading to a desire not to have the shop touch their vehicle again.

Another customer, who chose the shop due to its BMW certification, reported damage to their front bumper upon picking up their vehicle after a rear bumper repair. They described fresh white shop debris and a gray/greenish paint substance on the damaged areas, which was coming off to the touch. This incident points to potential issues with careful handling of vehicles within the shop or during parking. The customer also noted an unprofessional interaction with staff, specifically involving an argument and raised voices regarding the damage, with no apology, solution, or attempt to address the issue in the shop. This customer's feedback highlights concerns about customer service, accountability for damage, and the overall professional conduct of some personnel. The customer also mentioned that the car was returned dirty despite being dropped off fully detailed, which further contributed to their dissatisfaction. The sentiment was that the business was focused on money over customer service, leaving an unresolved issue.

These reviews indicate that while Collision Craft Auto Body Repair may possess certifications and offer a range of body repair services, there have been instances where customers have experienced issues with the quality of workmanship and the level of customer service. Prospective customers may wish to consider these reported experiences when evaluating Collision Craft Auto Body Repair for their automotive body repair needs.

Collision Craft Auto Body Repair Customer Reviews

Very disappointed with the work that this shop did to my brand new 2024 Toyota 4 runner. A couple of weeks ago I purchased my truck. I noticed it had transportation damage and toyota agreed to fix it. They sent it to this shop not 1 but 3 times. All it needed was 2 door trim moldings on the left side painted. The first time they sent only the trim moldings and they over sprayed it and the paint dripped. Toyota told me to take the truck back to them so they could fix it. Once I got there I told them not to touch the paint of the body just the moldings. Once they brought the truck back the paint job was horrible. There was no gloss on molding it just looked matte. So the 3rd time back management was involved and he agreed it was a bad job and that they would fix it. Once I got the truck back the trim moldings were polished poorly and there were swirl marks on the body (after I told them not to touch it) and scuff marks on the edge of the body to the molding. To top it off the right side was buffed or polished when there was nothing wrong it to begin with. This is such a bad experience I don't even want them to touch my truck anymore cause I'm afraid they'll do more damage.

I went here because of the BMW certification. Took my Rear bumper in for repairs. When picking it up on Wed July 24th. I did a walk around and noticed two scratched/scraped areas on my front bumper. Both spots had a fresh white shop debris and a gray/greenish paint substance. The damage areas had a substance that literally was coming off when touching it. They clearly damage the bumper by mistake assuming with a tool or parking the car against something. I was waved off by Chet who sent Moe to follow me to my car. Moe argued with me in the middle of Grant Street.  In front of the shop because there is no parking in their lot. Moe raised his voice with me and would not help. Moe just kept yelling at me. Wasn't clear who runs the shop. Very unreasonable and unprofessional.  Never apologized or offered a solution or even to pull it into the shop to address the issue.  Car was dropped off fully detailed. Got it back dirty with scratched/scraped paint damage. Was told it was my fault before even looking at the damage they did.  Very Upsetting experience. They are focused on money and not customer service . Zero resolution left with an unresolved issue. I hope the owner of the shop reads this. It would have been nice to have talked with the owner.

I'm really impressed with the work Collision Craft did on my car! I brought my car in to fix a bad DIY bumper dent/scrape job I did myself. In 2 days, they made my bumper look like it was fresh out of the showroom... exact color match too. I couldn't believe it was the same bumper. Great quality work, reasonably priced, and super friendly employees.
