The available customer reviews present a mixed picture of the services provided by Central Maine Motors Auto Group Collision Center. One customer expresses significant dissatisfaction with their experience, detailing issues from the initial agreement to the final billing and quality of repair. This customer recounts instances where the agreed-upon repairs were not performed as expected, such as trim being glued instead of replaced despite an approved bid for replacement. This discrepancy was allegedly not communicated until the final bill. Furthermore, this reviewer claims to have been charged for dent repair that was not actually completed, despite hours of labor being billed. The overall process was described as "a misery" due to poor communication, including a lack of returned calls, delays in parts ordering, and a failure to keep the customer informed about the progress of repairs and interactions with the insurance appraiser. The reviewer also notes issues with the quality of the work upon vehicle pickup, including trim that detached shortly after, bad wheel alignment, and a dent that was painted over rather than properly repaired. Based on these issues, this customer strongly recommends avoiding the collision center.

In contrast, another customer shares a highly positive experience. They brought in a relatively new Kia EV6 that required extensive body work after an accident. This customer praises Central Maine Collision for doing a "great job" in repairing the vehicle to an "as-new condition." They highlight the seamless collaboration with their insurance company, the provision of an accurate estimate for out-of-pocket costs, and proactive communication regarding delays caused by backordered parts. The collision center also reportedly worked to expedite the arrival of these parts to minimize the customer's inconvenience. Additionally, this reviewer notes that the center went "above and beyond" by thoroughly cleaning the vehicle inside and out upon completion of the repairs. They commend the "great customer service" and describe the staff as "good people to work with," expressing their gratitude for the positive experience.

Given these contrasting reviews, it is difficult to definitively characterize the typical environment and service at Central Maine Motors Auto Group Collision Center. The positive review suggests a professional and customer-oriented approach, with effective communication, seamless insurance handling, and high-quality repair work. The emphasis on thorough cleaning indicates attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction. However, the negative review paints a picture of poor communication, discrepancies between agreed-upon and performed work, billing inaccuracies, and subpar repair quality.

Central Maine Motors Auto Group Collision Center Customer Reviews

I am sitting in the office waiting for someone to correct the two charges made for a single final bill. From start to finish, this business spoke one way while seeking our business and then did something other than what was agreed upon. For example, we asked for trim to be repaired and the facilitator Josh decided it would be ok if he just had it glued in place even though we had approved a bid for replacement. He didn’t tell us until I saw it on the final bill at the office when picking up the vehicle. I said the shop work is great but they didn’t actually repair a dent that more than four hours of labor was charged against. The entire process has been a misery to have done because Josh never called back, was late to order parts, did not tell us when insurance appraiser and he had contact about the extent of the repairs and how long it was taking, he didn’t tell us when he had us, the rental company and insurance wait over a week for a mudflap to arrive as the last part of the repairs and on and on. Recommend you avoid this place. Less than twelve hours after picking up the vehicle, the trim has popped off leaving a mess of glue. And the alignment was bad. And the door dent is painted not repaired as charged.

Our almost new Kia EV6 required extensive body work after an accident, and Central Maine Collission did a great job repairing the vehicle to as-new condition. They worked seamlessley with our insurance, gave us an accurate estimate of our out-of-pocket costs, talked us through some frustrating delays for backordered parts, and worked to expedite those parts so we could get the vehicle back as quickly as possible. At the end of the job they went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle was throughly cleaned inside and out. Great customer service, and good people to work with. Thank you!

10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I took my 2020 GMC Terrain to CMCC for rear passenger side cosmetic damage, quoted to be a 40 hr. Job. That turned into 55 hrs.… fast forward 6 weeks when I can finally go pick up my vehicle and find several electrical issues that were not a problem before dropping my vehicle off for over a month. They removed my windshield in the process of repairing the REAR of the vehicle WITHOUT PERMISSION from me or the insurance adjuster assigned to my case, broke the windshield in the process and charged me for it…. My backup camera, Radio screen, and all buttons and knobs for the radio are all not working as well as the light in glove compartment. Their response to me “maybe it’s our responsibility, maybe it isn’t.” I will never do business with any Central Maine Auto Group business again….. They don’t return phone calls and emails are returned days later, and the office personnel should be careful about speaking ill of elderly customers while the door is open to the waiting area! Very unprofessional! The whole experience has been horrible and a huge disappointment. The body work looks great though 🙄 Never Again!
