Car Doctor Introduce
Car Doctor is an automotive repair establishment situated at 625 Auburn Ave, Gainesville, GA 30501, USA. Operating within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, this business offers services related to vehicle maintenance and repair. For inquiries, they can be reached at (770) 535-7788 or via mobile at +1 770-535-7788.
When considering an auto repair station, prospective customers often look for clear communication, efficient service, and reliable repair work. Based on publicly available customer feedback, there are significant concerns regarding communication and information accessibility at Car Doctor.
The **environment** of a repair shop plays a role in customer perception. While direct information about the physical environment of Car Doctor is not available, the experiences shared by customers primarily focus on the administrative and communication aspects of their operations rather than the physical premises or the actual repair bay environment. The ability to easily contact the shop, obtain information, and speak with knowledgeable staff is a critical part of the overall service environment for any business, especially in the service industry.
Regarding the **services** offered, the available information indicates that Car Doctor performs repairs on vehicles. However, specific details about the types of repairs they specialize in, such as engine diagnostics, brake services, transmission work, or body repairs, are not detailed in the provided data. The reviews mention a customer attempting to get information about "repair work" previously done on a vehicle, suggesting they handle general vehicle repairs. The platform category "Auto Repair Stations" broadly implies that they provide a range of automotive services aimed at maintaining and fixing vehicles.
As for **features**, the most prominent feature highlighted in the customer feedback, albeit negatively, is the perceived challenge in obtaining timely and accurate information. Customers report difficulties in getting return calls, instances of phone staff having limited English proficiency, and a consistent inability to provide information without the direct involvement of the owner. This suggests a potential lack of a comprehensive internal system for tracking repair history or empowering staff to handle customer inquiries independently. The inability to retrieve repair records even with detailed information like VIN numbers and invoice numbers is a significant operational challenge noted by a customer. This implies that information management and customer service protocols may not be as robust as some customers would expect.
Concerning **promotional information**, there is no specific promotional material or special offers provided. The publicly available customer feedback, in this case, presents a critical perspective on the customer service and communication aspects of Car Doctor. The reviews strongly emphasize a negative experience with attempts to gather information about past repairs. One customer indicated that despite providing extensive details, including a VIN number and invoice number, they were unable to get a response or information about the repairs. This experience led the customer to seek assistance elsewhere, specifically recommending another dealership for service work due to their positive experience. The lack of responsiveness and apparent reliance on the owner for all information are key points that customers have highlighted.
In summary, Car Doctor in Gainesville, GA, operates as an auto repair station. While the scope of their direct repair services is not explicitly detailed, customer feedback predominantly focuses on the challenges encountered when trying to communicate with the establishment and obtain information about past services. Prospective customers might consider these aspects when evaluating Car Doctor for their vehicle repair needs. It is always advisable for individuals to conduct their own due diligence and perhaps visit a shop in person or seek additional current reviews when choosing an auto repair facility.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never personally used them all I wanted was some information on a vehicle they have done repairs on. We purchased a vehicle from Milton Martin Honda, which is joke of a dealership, a whole other review I will be submitting. This body company has been left several messages from me with all the information they have asked for, but I cannot get anybody to call me back. Every time I call I get some lady who barely speaks English and says the owner is not in the shop today. My owner is not in my company either but, yet I can find any information needed to give to the homeowners. They could not find the repair work even after giving them my ENTIRE VIN NUMBER via text message. Then I called back with an exact date of the repairs and the invoice number that Milton Martin Honda had on file and here I am 6 days later still waiting to hear back from "the owner" since he is the only one that knows stuff. Horrible horrible horrible horrible company and will make sure that everybody knows this. I will find every page that they are connected to and leave a review about the laziness of this company and the lack of intelligence from the phone staff. If they cannot do anything without the owner why do they work there. ***Oh I finally gave up and asked the place that has been so wonderful waiting for the parts number to let me have vehicle back even though it is not closed all the way, and they got it to close, just not close pushed down and they never charged me a dime for the labor it took, Gwinnett Place Ford is the place to go for all service work.

Short Version: Mediocre work, long wait, took 3 times to finally fix what I went in for and terrible service. Felt like a scam (Lines up with several other reviewers experiences) Just got through the trouble of getting my car fixed through them, spending around $600 over three visits. Originally was recommended by a friend when I moved to Gainesville. I am not in a great financial spot currently, so this has been extremely hard on me. I went in about engine problems, and my car losing power. I was told an oil leak was the problem, and paid $200 to have it fixed. The leak persisted, and my car continued to lose power, but of course, when I brought it in the next time it was "a different leak" and wouldn't be considered a warranty. This red flag should have immediately prompted me to leave and find a better mechanic, but the initial recommendation came from someone who has known the owner for quite a long time, so I continued to give the benefit of the doubt They held on to my car for OVER A WEEK. Despite having made an appointment to bring it in at a specified time, they clearly did not touch it for many days, as I wasn't even given an estimate for 5 days. I paid another 250 to have this fixed, and they couldn't even be bothered to put more oil in it after. I had now dropped ~$450 to have my car fixed, but as I drove home I quickly realized they had not fixed the engine at all. I called to complain and the owner told me that they hadn't worked on the engine because they hadn't been informed it was an issue (And remember, it's why I had initially taken it in), and he told me he would fix it, to just bring it in on my next off day. I decided I would give them one last chance, as the receptionist in the front has consistently seemed somewhat incompetent, perhaps she just did not tell him. After nearly getting stuck multiple times with a barely functioning car (0-60 in around a minute, assuming you were on a flat surface, dont even dream of going uphill at more than 10 mph), I took it in today. I told them I couldn't have it take another week this time, heard the same receptionist go to the back and lie, saying I had said it must be done today (Wasn't going to correct it given how long the last time had taken) and luckily received a call near the end of day saying the repairs were complete. Over 50% of the $135 bill I received was labor costs. I was under the impression after speaking to the owner that I would not be paying for anything other than parts given the trouble they had put me through, and the amount of money I had already spent on NOT having my car run. Regardless, I sucked it up, paid them, and decided to cut my losses As for the work, it seems to run ok in the 10 minute drive home, I know little about cars, but it seems substantially worse than the mechanic I typically used in Athens (Masters Garage; I'd give them 5* easily). I have a lot of issues with the way they handle business and will not be using them again, and neither will a friend of mine who had a similar experience. You essentially have to harass them to receive even an estimate, or get the work done in a timely manner. I feel scammed over the oil leak situation, and just generally am not pleased with what I paid for. I'm out $600. which is honestly more than what the car is probably worth, but that is the last they will get from me.

I originally went in for a diagnostic to determine an issue with my car. Edwin didnt charge me for it and I was grateful at the time however I realise now it's easier to scam if you dont have evidence of what the issue is. He told me it was an alignment and i needed other parts replaced before the alignment. I pick up my car and the mechanic mentioned it wont make that noise bc he put liquid in my power steering BC OF A LEAK . THAT was what needed to be fixed. I drive the car home and the steering wheel is slanted to the right! IT WASNT EVEN THAT BAD WHEN I LEFT IT.. I was irate that it was NEVER MENTIONED by Edwin that there was a leak, which was obviously the real reason for the sounds i was hearing...when I told him what the mechanic told me he walked outside and flipped on the mechanic. He was charging me a total of $755 . I gave $460 cash and left a postdated check for $295 that i DEMANDED back. And he gave my check back. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR.

Took it in to bleed the abs system, they said it was bad and needed to replace. Paid for the part but the old one is still on it. Plus I am having electrical problems. Worst experience ever. I feel lied to and robbed. Stay away
