Traveling through the states and ran into a fuel system issue with my 2006 Chevy 2500hd. Got referred to them. Called them up and told my story, they said bring it in and they figure out the issue right away. Needed new injectors. Took a couple of days for the parts to get in, but they put a couple of guys on it, and I found out one stayed a little extra to get a little farther for the next day. The next day, they got it all completed and back in the road. Very honest with what they did and really liked how the main mechanic on my truck told me everything he did and possibly other little issues to keep an eye on.

I'm so happy with the major work that I had done. One ton dodge dually needed some loving. By the book installed a whole new rear axles and several items in the engine compartment. My first test drive was 917 miles pulling a trailer the truck performed flawlessly.

These guys bailed me out of a bad situation. I was traveling through ABQ and my truck died on I-25 last Monday. Other shops were a month out on repairs and said to call By The Book Diesel. I got Brandon on the phone and he said to bring it over, they would get it in for me that evening or the next morning. I got lucky and AAA got to me in 20 min - I know, amazing. We dropped the truck off and they got it in the next morning, diagnosed it and got the new pump ordered. I had them do expedited shipping - which really wasn’t expensive at all. The pump came in Wednesday mid morning and they had my truck back together that afternoon by 4:00. Brandon kept me in the loop on everything. Everyone I met was upright and friendly. I can’t say enough good about this shop. I have been a mechanic myself for close to 35 years and was amazed at how well set up and clean their shop is. You can’t go wrong with these guys! This is what a CP3 looks like after it has rattled 4 of the 6 assembly bolts out.

Daniel and his staff are the best people, mechanics and all around good guys you'll find anywhere! I have been going to "By the Book" for over 13 years. We've never had a complaint with the work they perform. I've recommended to many friends and family the shop and they have been loyal customers also. I can't say enough about this place. This shop is AMAZING. I brought in a 2006 F250 diesel that spent some time in a rat-infested barn. It needed significant repairs that required patience and detailed knowledge of this 20-yr old truck: vacuum hose replacement, AC compressor, multiple error codes, etc. They fixed it all. Regular communication from Steve to keep me informed was FANTASTIC. This is one of those businesses that seriously delivers.
