Japanese Car Care

I took my car in for the first time after about 50,000 miles. The service manager Joe was courteous, efficient and kept me updated that particular day on car repair needs and costs. They fix what they need to fix, and don't try to get you agree to unnecessary repairs. My bill was affordable, and there were no miscellaneous fees added like some of the dealers try to add to your bill. It is a clean, tidy place where you can hang out if you are waiting while the service is completed. Coffee offered so. I highly recommend this Japanese auto Washington St location. I had a great experience at Japanese Car Care North. Joe kept me apprised of the costs of the repairs throughout the process and only recommended necessary work. I really appreciated his honesty and communication. I had a tight deadline when I needed to leave and they completed the work right on time! The facility was clean, comfortable, and pleasant to wait in. I highly recommend Japanese Car Care North for your auto maintenance needs.

Japanese Car Care came highly recommended by a couple of friends. I am pleased to report that they more than lived up to the accolades. They took excellent care of my 2018 Subaru. The 60k mile tuneup plus new front brakes was the same price as the dealers 60k service WITHOUT the new brakes. The staff are very professional and courteous.

THE BEST car care team ever! We were having some intermittent problems with the AC and a goofy rattle when we put the car in reverse to back out of the garage. They performed a complete AC inspection and found it only had ¼ of the factory recommended refrigerant. The rattle was not only 2 worn out underside clips, but the drive train system needed attention. I was greeted by Joe, the Service Coordinator (who did a great job of keeping me informed throughout the day re recommended service items and costs) and Jason (the owner, who took an interest in my concerns and offered some common sense possibilities). It’s this level of thoughtful diagnostics and recommendations I really appreciate. I love my 2014 Honda CRV and like to keep in in great working order. This is THE PLACE for maintaining Japanese cars! Also recommend the Menaul /Virginia location. This new location on Washington NE south of Alameda is beautiful. As expected, the building was tidy, the coffee was ready at 7:30AM, the bathroom clean, and the waiting room comfortable. There is an unusual respect for the vehicles as well as the customers. They have this car care business figured out! They’ve taken car diagnostics and maintenance and customer service to the highest level. Highly recommend Japanese Car Care - both locations!

I am very happy with cost and quality of service at Japanese Car Care. My 2003 Tundra with 51k miles needed a little love. The guys replaced my timing belt, did a tuneup, fixed other issues. The truck now runs as good as the day I bought it.

I totally appreciate Japanese Car Care for excellent, thorough repairs and outstanding customer care. When my truck would not start I called Japanese Car Care - East and Eric not only got me immediate assistance at the North location but he also got me an immediate tow which made an otherwise unpleasant experience not so bad. I really appreciated the technicians at the North location who found a few problems that could easily have left me stranded again—the ultimate in preventive car care! Thanks guys!

Knowledgable and friendly staff Transparent about the work to be accomplished. Answered all my questions. I’m very happy with my choice to start taking my car to Japanese Car Care-North. Joe was fabulous. Will now use them for all my car needs. Happy to give them referrals.

I needed a mechanic and many other shops wouldn’t even answer their phone. Japanese Car Care was able to get me in earlier than any other shop. They also reviewed my whole vehicle to create a vehicle wellness plan. I highly recommend

Joe was the best. I brought in a car that could not be saved. He communicated with me promptly and gave me options for what to do with the car. I've used both locations and have always received the best treatment and honest advice. Will always go back.

EDIT: Ive recently gotten myself into a brand new Subaru (2025 Crosstrek). Its getting its first CVT service and I'd rather THESE folks do the work than the dealer! Again, they prove their service is second to none...ok, on to my original post... Ive not had good luck with mechanics lately, until I discovered the awesome folks at JCC-North. Yes, Ive spent a ton of cash getting my vehicles repaired here, but once fixed, it tends to stay fixed. They are very friendly and professional. Superior honesty and integrity is what will have me coming back to these folks. Thank you Paul and Joe. You men and your team truly are a cut above.
