Bryson City Tire Co

I called Bryson City Tire today and asked if they do North Carolina vehicle inspections. The man on the phone said they did them. I also asked if I needed an appointment, and he said no. Unfortunately when I arrived there, the guy told me that I would have to wait about 3 hours. It would have been nice if I was told that in the phone.

Driven past them many times. But today my truck needed an oil change, tire rotation and a general check up. Stopped in and found out you didn't need an appointment. First come first serve. What a friendly group of folks. No waiting today and they finished the job in about 30 minutes. The mechanics are well trained and thorough. I used to take my truck to the dealership and waited for hours paying an arm and a leg. Here they did it quickly and at a much better price. Glad I found these folks.

Popped a tire while I'm in the middle of nowhere and these guys hooked up a hard -to-find size and had me out in no time. Price wasn't bad either for bring so remote. Thanks guys!

One star is too good for this dump. The condition of the shop should be a clear indicator of their work and professionalism. I've had a stripped filter come off a car in motion leaving my motor seized and wife stranded at 2 in the morning. Knowing they are a pack of screw ups the replaced my motor with a shady tree mechanic and didn't allow me to select a reputable shop. Against my better judgement I rolled the dice. Low and behold another car I brought there was discovered to have two gaskets on the oil filter and was low on oil. Almost got me twice. Then 500 miles into back road driving, my wife takes it on the highway and noticed it doesn't take 6th gear anymore. When I called him about not having 6th gear, he tell me "he's seen it all over town". I'm not shocked that he doesn't understand that I still have 5 working gears. Hell, his "mechanic" that did the motor refered to the car as "lowered". It's got a stock suspension. They don't know what they are doing. Do not do business here if you like your car.

I am not surprised at all to see excellent reviews for this establishment. Brent went above and beyond with his service with tires and when we had a battery issue Brent sent us to Advanced Auto where we received more excellent customer service. And a thanks to the entire staff at BCTC. If you have lost faith in the human race, visit BCTC....Lol They will help restore it.

Had a slit in my tire sidewall and needed a replacement quick before heading out of town. Bryson City Tire Co was able to get me a fairly new used tire mounted in about 15 minutes for $35. Friendly staff & service, would recommend to anyone in the area!
