Body Shop - Charles Gabus Ford Customer Reviews

My experience at this body shop has been very disappointing. I brought my car here after a deer strike in October. After a few months waiting for parts, and hounding them for updates, I finally received my car back. Part of the repair was replacing the front passenger door, and after receiving it the front passenger window did not work. I had to take my car in two additional times, and the issue is still not fixed. I was told it was because they put used parts in without testing them, and apparently they were not in working order. After the second time taking my car in, the interior passenger door panel has begun to separate from the door, apparently from incorrectly reattaching it from one of the times I brought it in. This means my car is in WORSE shape than when I brought it in. I have followed up several times and I am still waiting for a response. This is an extremely unprofessional business and I'm surprised they are affiliated with a name brand dealership. Avoid this shop at all costs. I have attached pictures of the door panel separating. This damage was not present when I took the car in.

I dropped my vehicle off at the body shop this AM. I needed a ride. I was worried about the amount of time to get back home. My son (age45) has terminal brain cancer. But Deven sp. from the Body shop got me checked in and walked me over to hook me up for a shuttle home Jerry was the driver. It took less than an hour for the entire process and this was first thing when the shop open. Kudos to both employees. Gabus is lucky to have them. Steve Towlerton.

I have taken vehicles in for repairs here 3 times in the last 2 years. 2 times they tried to return the vehicles to me with additional damage that wasn't there when I dropped them off. Had I not taken pictures beforehand, they would have denied it but since I was able to show them it wasn't there when I dropped it off, they repaired it. This last time before dropping it off, I was having serious issues with another part of the vehicle that I wanted them to handle under manufacturer warranty. I was told it could be done and they would take care of it. When I picked it up afterwards, the repairs were done but when I asked about the manufacturer work, they stated they forgot to do it but the little they drove it, they had no issues. About three days ago I read about a recall that was issued for my vehicle related to the same scenario I asked then to check out. They may be an alright place but 3/3 times I've given them a vehicle to take care of and they have ended up failing me on service. Not a place I would recommend ever to anyone for repairs and my future vehicle purchases will not be from here.

Replaced my hood, grill and bumper and repaint parts, quite expensive but insurance took care of that, took 3 weeks. Happy with the work done, happy to have my truck back

After a minor dent in my passenger side fender I was recommended to Charles Gabus Ford's Body Shop for the repair by my insurance provider. Originally took my car there and they requested me to sign a notice to proceed with the work prior to seeing any estimate form. The form stated that I agreed to all estimates and would allow them to perform the work under my own personal risk. After much discussion I found that I was going to be forced to sign this for them to even start. I reluctantly signed and they proceeded with the work. Once the work was completed I picked up my vehicle and paid my insurance deductible. Upon returning home I realized that my forward and rear facing cameras were no longer working. I called them and was told to bring it back the following week to have it addressed. Once returning to the shop I was told that they did not cause the fault and would not be fixing the issue. Both cameras worked 100% fine prior to them taking apart my vehicle. I am now forced to take it to another dealership and potentially pay for their mistake. Beware of this place!! After seeing how they treat service I would be wary of purchasing a new or pre-owned vehicle as well.
