It’s taken me a while to update this review because i’ve been occupied trying to understand how on earth this dealership messed me up SO bad. My previous review is below, before ending on an awful note with these mechanics. I had a 2014 diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee overland. My grandfather and I brought it to benson because my coolant reservoir was slam full of oil. this happened the day after my car was broken into and tampered with. There was no blown head gasket, the car had been running completely fine before this. When we took it to Benson they said they knew how to work on Diesel vehicles. They lied, big time. Replaced my coolant and claimed it was a seal that cracked. Got the car back and gunk was still going up onto the coolant reservoir. It never got properly fixed. My check engine and check throttle light came on almost 30 minutes after driving home from the dealership. I took it back. Now it was a sensor, the car was fixed and according to them it was residual “fuel” not oil, in the coolant reservoir. they replace the sensor, i drive it home and before i can park it, boom. check engine light, check throttle, check four wheel drive and a DEF light. i call them again, as the only other jeep diesel mechanic in greenville was backed up 3 months. they tell me it’s my pump, that because the weather had been colder my DEF pump broke. odd as i had had the car for two years in minnesota and never had my DEF pump give me any issues. those are negative twenty degree temps by the way. i pay to replace the DEF pump but know the car still isn’t fixed. Had a friend who’s an airplane mechanic look at it. he works on cars too- just not diesels. but he’s smart. he said the coolant, engine, radiator, and multiple fluid lines had some huge issues. i traded the car in across the street for less than we put into it repairing it. everyone i’ve spoken to is convinced they tore this car up. after $7k it still had all of those issues and was running awful. rattling awful. i know my car. i took incredibly good care of it. they don’t know what they’re doing with eco diesels here. wouldn’t trust them with a regular gas car. the guys across the street are scammers as well. but that’s to be expected. How the lady at the first desk when you walk into the service center ever got a job with close encounters to people is beyond me. She doesn’t listen or tell you the correct things and has been blatantly rude to me three different times now. She appears VERY miserable.

I dropped in on my lunch with what seemed to be a minor infotainment system issue. I asked the service advisor for two mins of his time to help me. Two mins turned into 30 minutes of his time. But he corrected the issue I was having. He was super helpful and worked with a service technician to correct the issue. I didn’t catch his name but he has dark hair and a full beard. I do know that his boys are into wrestling. He deserves recognition for his hard work and efforts.

Update: They replied to this review trying to make it look like they want to solve this problem but we have talked to them and brought the car back for them to look at . Their solution is to charge us almost another 2000$ to fix what they broke(not even including the interior they ruined) on top of the 2000$+ they already got out of us for the other stuff. Dont fall for their fake "we are here to help reply" AVOID THIS PLACE This place will break things on your car that 100% worked when brought in. They will claim it was already broken but somehow they left it out of the diagnostic and want you to pay them to fix what they broke in the process of repairing what it was brought in for. Brought in my alfa to get the sunroof fixed. They quoted like 2400. They said my rear manual sunroof was broken as well a week later while in the process of repairing the electric one. It worked fine a day before when i brought it up there. They offered to pay half of the repair for that part (why would you do that if you did not break it?).To avoid arguing about it for days , i needed my car back, so i agreed. They had already had it for weeks at this point and I was without a car all that time. I get my car back and first thing I noticed was 4 error codes on my dash saying my lights were malfunctioning. Also noticed dark fingerprint stains all over my creme colored headliner. I figured they had unhooked my battery and that throws all kinds of warning and errors until it calibrates. I figured I would just see if it corrected after a bit of driving. I drove a bit and noticed my turn signals no longer made any noise at all when in use. When I got home I checked all lights and my front left running light was coming on and off intermittently. Called them up ,they had me bring it in. They kept the car , called later and said all that wasn't them and it was more broken stuff they forgot to put on the 200$ diagnostic report weeks ago. They investigated themselves and found they did nothing wrong.

A picture is worth more than a thousand words, so I m posting 3. This service location is extremely expensive and low quality service. They charged me 1689.53 just in labor. While doing repairs, they also broke a part that took almost 2 weeks to get, and I still had to pay for it. This is how I got my car back after the repairs were completed. The engine was so dirty. They even left a dirty rag under the hood. I also discovered that the AC is not working properly - a problem I didn’t had before dropping off my car at this place. Please don’t take your car here. Save yourself a ton of money and future problems.

Bought both our vehicles at Benson, and been a customer since 2015. Always top notch service and the best prices around! Everyone is always great. But I must say the lady who answers the parts department phone has really poor communication skills. So much so that I felt compelled to write a Google review. Knowledgeable but there’s a way to talk with people and that’s definitely not the way. Not a helpful personality at all. Very short one word answers in a condescending way. Definitely felt like I was an annoyance just by asking general questions. The exact opposite of everything else I’ve ever experienced here.

I saw a car online and inquired about it. I gave details and photos of a possible trade in car. I should preface this with telling the contacting agent that according to KBB, CarMax, and Carvana, the car was worth $17,600-$19,400. I got a bid of $10,700... I told them I was insulted, and lose my information. I got another email asking what I wanted for the car, and "maybe they made a mistake". I reiterated the values I received. I got no explanation of how they came to this value, just a request to see the bids. They were just trying to hit a home run and get my car for nothing! It seems like a place that just wears you down and then you give in. At least that's my opinion. I didn't buy, so I can't speak to any other aspects of the company, but to me, they blatantly tried to rip me off...
