I know NOTHING about cars and am always worried that I will be taken advantage of when I get work done on my car. I am happy to say that the guys at Advanced Auto Parts were AMAZING! They didn't try to up sell me anything and they changed my battery in less than 10minutes. 100% would recommend going here!

When I worked retail, I absolutely dreaded the LMC (last minute customer). You know who I’m talking about – the one who walks in literally five minutes before locking the doors, a million questions to ask, sometimes obnoxious, always demanding. This is embarrassing but Yeah… tonight that was me. Having recently acquired a new-to-us vehicle, my husband decided we HAD to fix (Cob-job) the exhaust tonight. So, here we are, asking these poor guys to accommodate us. They did more than that. They made us not only feel welcome but actually seemed genuinely glad we were there. They patiently looked up parts we had questions about, recommended specific ways to complete the job at hand, even came out from behind the counter to point out the correct products to use. Advance Auto isn’t renowned, nor revered, for its customer service… at least not in my experience. After tonight’s visit, however, my impression has completely changed. From now on, this will be my starting point for any project. Whenever I’m asked for a recommendation, my answer moving forward will always be Advance Auto.

Do not buy anything from Advanced Auto ever. I purchased the Hopkins VueSMART trailer camera at Advanced Auto on june 27th 2024 in Bangor Maine. I installed it that day and it worked ok at the campground. However, the image started freezing and eventually it only gave a black screen on our second trip. So I attempted to return it on July 23 2024 (less than 30 days later) to Advanced Auto in Queensbury NY. The manager there refused to take the return because I did not have the original packaging. He said he could not re-sell it. When I asked him why he would want to resell defective merchandise he just repeated that he needed the original packaging for resale. So I am out the full amount for the camera. I verified Advanced Autos return policy is not only to have original packaging but also to have the package unopened. This makes zero sense to me. I will not be purchasing anything from Advanced Auto in the future.
