Adirondack Tire & Service Introduce

For vehicle owners and travelers in Queensbury, NY, Adirondack Tire & Service operates as an establishment within the "Auto Repair Stations" category. Located at 1025 US-9, Queensbury, NY 12804, USA, it serves as a point of contact for various automotive needs, particularly those related to tires and general vehicle maintenance. You can reach Adirondack Tire & Service directly by phone at (518) 793-8871 or via mobile at +1 518-793-8871.

Environment and Facility

As an "Auto Repair Station" that explicitly includes "Tire & Service" in its name, Adirondack Tire & Service would typically feature a functional garage environment designed to accommodate both tire-specific work and broader automotive repairs. This would include multiple service bays, tire mounting and balancing equipment, and diagnostic tools for various vehicle systems. While specific details about the customer waiting area or the aesthetic appeal of the facility are not provided, most auto service centers aim to maintain a level of cleanliness and organization for operational efficiency and customer comfort. The location on US-9, a major highway, suggests easy accessibility for both local residents and those passing through Queensbury.

Services and Goods for Sale

Adirondack Tire & Service, as indicated by its name and category, would offer a comprehensive range of services, with a likely specialization in tire-related care. Their offerings as an "Auto Repair Station" would typically include:

  • Tire Sales and Installation: Providing a selection of new tires for various vehicle types, along with professional mounting and installation.
  • Tire Services: This would encompass wheel balancing to ensure a smooth ride, tire rotations to promote even wear, and flat tire repairs for punctures or minor damages.
  • General Auto Repair and Maintenance: Beyond tires, a full-service "Auto Repair Station" would typically offer services such as oil changes, brake inspections and repairs, battery testing and replacement, fluid checks, and diagnostic services for issues indicated by dashboard warning lights.
  • Vehicle Diagnostics: The ability to diagnose problems, as implied by the "check engine light" scenario mentioned in a review, suggests they possess the equipment and expertise to identify underlying vehicle issues.

In terms of "goods for sale," their primary inventory would be various types and brands of tires, along with common automotive parts required for repairs and maintenance, such as brake components, filters, batteries, and other essential consumables.

Features and Customer Experience

The customer reviews for Adirondack Tire & Service present a stark contrast, highlighting a significant divergence in customer experience. This dual perspective offers a nuanced view of the establishment's features:

Positive Customer Experience:

  • Speed and Efficiency: One customer, being "from out of town" and on "vacation," highly valued the fact that the "Guys did everything on the spot, fast and efficient." This indicates a capability for quick turnaround times, which is highly appreciated, especially by travelers.
  • "Amazing Service": The positive reviewer specifically highlighted "Amazing service," suggesting a high level of satisfaction with the quality of work and the overall interaction.
  • Reliability for Out-of-Town Visitors: The willingness to return if "ever in need of auto repair in the area" speaks to a positive and trustworthy experience for someone unfamiliar with local options.

Negative Customer Experience and Concerns:

  • Online Appointment Issues: A significant point of frustration was the online appointment system failing to work, as the website indicated "booked" but the appointment "didn't go through on their end." This points to a potential disconnect between their online platform and internal scheduling.
  • Lack of Requested Inventory: The shop did "not have the tire I requested," forcing the customer to purchase a "different tire" and "come back at a later date," indicating issues with inventory management or customer-specific ordering.
  • Rude Customer Service: A critical negative aspect highlighted twice is that the "Person I spoke with was rude" initially and "rude again" during a follow-up call. This indicates a concerning lack of professionalism in customer interaction, which can severely impact satisfaction.
  • Tire Performance Issues: After 6 months, "2 of the tires went flat," which points to a potential quality issue with the tires sold or the installation.
  • Lack of Warranty Support/Help: When the tires went flat, the customer reported "no warranty, no help to replace them or figure out what the problem is," which is a severe failing for an auto parts and service provider. The absence of warranty or assistance for a product sold is a major concern.
  • Strong Negative Recommendation: The customer's definitive statements "Do not recommend, will never return" underscore extreme dissatisfaction and a complete breakdown of trust.

These contrasting reviews suggest that while Adirondack Tire & Service can deliver fast and efficient service in some instances, there are significant inconsistencies, particularly concerning customer service attitude, inventory accuracy, and post-sale support for products, specifically tires.

Promotional Information

No explicit promotional offers or discounts are detailed in the provided information for Adirondack Tire & Service. However, any promotional efforts would be significantly impacted by the divergent customer experiences. From a marketing perspective:

  • Positive Word-of-Mouth (Potential): The "Amazing service" and "fast and efficient" aspects could generate positive word-of-mouth, especially from satisfied customers, like the out-of-town visitor, who value quick and reliable service.
  • Negative Word-of-Mouth (Likely): The severe negative experience, particularly the rude customer service and lack of warranty support, would inevitably lead to strong negative word-of-mouth and discourage potential customers, as clearly stated by the dissatisfied customer.
  • General Promotions: Like other "Auto Repair Stations," they might typically offer seasonal tire promotions, discounts on specific services (e.g., oil changes, alignments), or warranty programs on parts and labor. However, the reported "no warranty" experience raises questions about their actual warranty policies.

For local users in Queensbury, NY, considering Adirondack Tire & Service, it is essential to weigh both types of feedback. While there's a potential for quick and efficient service, the concerns regarding customer interaction, online systems, and especially post-purchase support for products like tires, warrant careful consideration. It would be prudent for potential customers to call ahead to confirm tire availability, inquire about specific services, and clarify warranty policies before committing to service.

We are from out of town and the time is valuable while you are on vacation. Guys did everything on the spot, fast and efficient. Amazing service. If I am ever in need of auto repair in the area I would definitely come back.

Needed tires on my 2018 Toyota 4runner, tried to make an appointment online. Website said booked. Showed up, didn't go through on their end, nor did they have the tire I requested. Person I spoke with was rude and sold me a different tire in which I had to come back at a later date. 6 months have gone past and 2 of the tires went flat, called them back, rude again, no warranty, no help to replace them or figure out what the problem is. Do not recommend, will never return.

Brian & crew are no-nonsense, “get-it-done” kind of folks who I know will tell it like it is and stand by their work. Good service. Update: As of May 2023, they didn't have a mechanic on staff, and I have trouble differentiating between what work requires a mechanic (i.e. my rear brake line that needed to be rebuilt, and leaking fuel tank that needed repair) and what doesn't (i.e. my muffler and tailpipe that needed to be replaced). I won't lower my review stars, but if you know what your vehicle needs, it would be wise to check and see if they have someone who can perform the service before dropping the vehicle off to have work done. With that said, Brian sourced and installed new BFG all-terrain tires on my 2003 Ford E250, and the new tires make it ride like a brand-new van, even at highway speeds. I would buy tires here again in an instant.

We drove 2 hours for their service and it was worth every mile. We had our front and rear brakes replaced. Most affordable price on brakes (also why we drove 2 hours). Will definitely consider service with them again.
