However, it is crucial to address significant concerns highlighted in recent customer reviews:

  • Debit Card Holds and Unauthorized Charges: One highly critical review explicitly states issues with a "$75 hold on my account for 5 days" for a "$23 gas purchase," and implies "multiple people complaining of unauthorized debit card transactions" at this location. This is a severe concern regarding payment security and customer trust.

  • Pump Malfunctions (Nozzle Locks): Another review points out, "Fix your damned pump locks. Nobody wants to have to stand outside their car in 20 degree weather with driving wind holding the pump." This indicates issues with the functionality of the fuel pump nozzles, which can be a significant inconvenience, especially in New York's variable weather.

  • Potential for Negative Customer Experience: The strong negative sentiment in the reviews ("What a rip off!", "definitely not coming back") suggests a poor overall experience for some customers due to the aforementioned issues.

These negative points are important considerations for potential customers, highlighting areas where the station's service or infrastructure may fall short of expectations, despite its brand and convenience.

Promotions or Special Offers

The provided customer reviews do not detail any specific ongoing promotions or special offers directly tied to this particular Sunoco location, beyond the standard convenience store offerings. However, as a branded Sunoco station, it typically participates in the broader company-wide loyalty program:

  • Sunoco Go Rewards®: This is Sunoco's national loyalty program, and their website indicates that this 48 Denison Pkwy W location participates. Customers can sign up to earn points and cents off per gallon of fuel by linking their payment cards and making qualifying purchases. These rewards can lead to significant savings on fuel over time for frequent visitors.

  • Sunoco Rewards Credit Card: Sunoco also offers a branded credit card that provides additional savings, typically 5¢ off every gallon, every time, for purchases made with the card at Sunoco stations.

Like most convenience stores, this Sunoco location may also run various in-store promotions on snacks, beverages, or other convenience items. These could include manufacturer coupons, bundled deals (e.g., coffee and a pastry), or seasonal discounts. To determine if these or any other specific promotions are currently active at this Sunoco station, customers are advised to inquire directly at the store, check signage on-site, or consult the official Sunoco website or Go Rewards app for location-specific deals. Sunoco Gas Station Customer Reviews

They took my $23 gas purchase out of my debit account immediately, also a $75 hold on my account for 5 days!!! What!?!? I have NEVER bounced a check or had a failed charge there!!! Plus, they ALREADY HAD MY MONEY!!! I can tell you this, that will be the LAST TIME that I EVER go there for gas again! You should all stay away from here unless you want to get charged almost $100 for $20 of gas! What a rip off!
