Features / Highlights

Hassler's Filling Station distinguishes itself with several key features that make it a valuable asset to the Womelsdorf community and beyond.

  • Ethanol-Free Gasoline Availability: This is a major highlight, as ethanol-free fuel is increasingly sought after by vehicle owners, particularly those with older cars, motorcycles, boats, or small engines, who want to avoid potential issues associated with ethanol. Offering all three grades provides excellent choice.
  • Comprehensive Automotive Service Center: Beyond just pumping gas, Hassler's provides a full spectrum of automotive repair and maintenance services, from routine oil changes and tire rotations to PA State Inspections and more complex diagnostics. This makes it a one-stop shop for vehicle care.
  • Integrated Notary and Vehicle Services: The convenience of having notary public, vehicle title, and registration services on-site is a significant advantage. This allows customers to handle multiple errands related to their vehicle's legality and ownership in one location, saving time and effort.
  • Local Business Support: Many customers express a desire to support local businesses, and Hassler's, being a community-rooted establishment, benefits from this sentiment. Its long-standing presence and diverse offerings reinforce its local importance.
  • Commitment to Resolution (as per review): While one customer experienced initial challenges with a specialized vehicle inspection, the mechanic ultimately did "the right thing" by recognizing their limitations and offering a suitable competitor. This demonstrates a professional approach to customer satisfaction, even when unable to provide a specific service.
Promotions or Special Offers

While specific, constantly rotating "promotions" in the traditional sense might not be heavily advertised for a local, multi-service business like Hassler's, they do offer value through their competitive pricing for services and the unique availability of ethanol-free fuel.

  • Competitive Fuel Pricing: The availability of ethanol-free gasoline at competitive prices is a significant draw, especially since this fuel type can often be more expensive or harder to find elsewhere.
  • Money-Saving Coupons: Hassler's website indicates they offer "Money Saving Coupons" for their automotive services, encouraging customers to check for discounts on maintenance and repairs.
  • Efficient Service Bundles (Implied): While not explicit bundles, the comprehensive nature of their automotive services means customers can often get multiple maintenance tasks done efficiently in one visit, potentially saving time and a hassle of separate appointments elsewhere.

Customers are encouraged to visit Hassler's Notary and Automotive website or call them directly to inquire about current coupons, pricing for ethanol-free fuel, or any seasonal service specials they might be offering to Womelsdorf residents.

3 stars for doing the right thing in the end. I scheduled an enhanced PA state inspection and title processing for a new to me 2019 Corvette GS with a Florida title. If you aren't familiar, C7 vettes are quirky and difficult if not impossible to service for the average garage. They require special handling considerations because of their thin aluminum chasis and extreme low profile 4 inch ground clearance. So much so, most garages won't touch them, and more than a few Chevy dealerships have damaged them servicing them after the sale. I called ahead to make sure they could handle a C7 as very few shops have the equipment to lift them without damaging the splitters side skirts etc. Lifting them requires a low profile racing jack, 3" ramps 2x6's etc.to raise the car enough to even get clearance for the average 2 post lift. To fit under it. The shop ordered a set of C7 jack point pucks ahead of time at my request when I scheduled with them. (That should have told me to find a more appropriate garage. Shame on me.) Upon my arrival I noticed the very tight conditions in their two bays, and not a single low profile jack in sight. I was now apprehensive. I suggested to their mechanic that I supervise getting the car on the lift. I also told them it would be better that I drive the car in to the lift bay for them, (on the ramp 2x6's etc. thinking I'd be better capable of not damaging anything.) Whoa, bad suggestion. I was forcefully informed that I needed to leave the car with them and no way could I supervise lifting it, let alone drive it into the bay for them. Liability insurance reasons (Understandably, reasonable enough). To ease my apprehension about leaving it with them, I tried to query them to see if they ever handled a recent model vette C5, C6, C7, and it quickly became apparent they had not. My questioning of them on the C7s service and handling difficulties seemed to insult them. (Shame on me, for it wasnt my intention to insult them.) When I was told they needed to drive it for at least a mile, I didnt help matters when I told them I wouldnt let them drive it. That I'd need to drive it with the mechanic in the car. They heatedly told me they handled BMWs and they were more than capable. At this point there was no good way to have a conversation. It was in nobody's best interest for me to leave the car with them. To the mechanics credit. He recognized this as well, and offered a competitors service center that might be better suited to handle the task. That was a great suggestion, and very much appreciated. 3 stars because they shouldn't have attempted to schedule a specialized car in that they weren't equipped to handle.

Took my truck for inspection here and to get a power steering leak fixed. Got a call saying it’s ready and was told the leak wasn’t bad at all so it’ll be fine. When I went to pick it up I started it and power steering fluid started pouring out underneath way worse than before. They also left a ton of grease stains on the carpet and broke a plastic sheild on the side of the drivers seat and never mentioned anything to me. Would not recommend this garage
