Alltown Customer Reviews

BEWARE: FRAUD BY CASHIER To manager: check the shift on Friday night, August 4th, 2023 at 9 pm. The cashier at AllTown is doing fraudulent transactions. She suddenly split my payment between credit and cash, while I was holding a credit card in my hand and said she cant go back in transaction and I have to pay a half in cash. I immediately knew she is doing something. I took the receipt and saw that she charged me twice for a pack of rice (about $4 extra). When I confronted her, she kept denying it. However, I told her to rescan it, and of course she did charge it twice. I think she split payments to: 1. Make me confused about how much I pay and make me not to look at the receipt 2. Give credit purchase to the store and take cash part to herself. I told her to return the money she charged on the credit card. She gave a wrong amount in cash. I confronted her again. She refused to do it as a refund credit transaction on the register, but now gave the right amount in cash. She scanned items again and the amount was slightly different AGAIN from the previous scan. I confronted her and told her I want to know her name. She refused to give me her name and started looking for support from a pretty big line behind me, saying that she will not give me her name no matter what and lets just move on. People felt bad for her and also wanted to just pay and leave. They said to me to forget about it since she gave the money back. So, I left. However, I will try to speak to the manager next week, if I can find them over the phone. Looking now at other reviews, I noticed that other people were charged wrong at this stop, too. Maybe this needs to be brought to attention of STATE AUTHORITIES. If I can't find the manager to speak, I might take it further. Fraudulent cash and credit card transactions, unscrupulous business tactics, forced sales for cash without accounting, manipulation of income and taxes ... I wonder what else you can find there. To people who were in line: I understand you all were in the hurry, but still... come on. The woman at the register did criminal things and obviously not the first time. Actually, she mentioned working there for 5 years 🤦‍♀️

I stopped here at approximately 11:15 AM on Monday June 10th, 2024. All I wanted was a cup of coffee. There were two employees in the store unpacking boxes and stocking shelves. They looked a little busy; but, didn't see overwhelmed. While my coffee was pouring, one employee checked a customer out at the register. Not wanting to bother them as they did seem busy, I tried to use the self checkout. There was no barcode on the coffee cup; so, I walked up to the register. Not sure why; but, as soon as I set the coffee down on the counter the employee still at the register walked over to the other register and started counting/inventory items over there. I stood there for about two minutes waiting and he never looked over at me. I then said, "Excuse me, I just want to get this coffee." Still...nothing. He didn't even make eye contact with me. This whole time, the other employee who was right behind me never looked at us or said anything. I left the coffee on the counter and walked over to the Dunkin Donuts. I had a Dunkin Donuts coffee and was out the door in less time than it took to pour the coffee at Alltown. I guess the employees at Alltown were having a bad day; but, jeez...would've just taken 30 seconds to ring up my coffee.

We stopped here for gas at 930pm. I didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary for a time to stop for gas and water. Well apparently it was. There wasn't a sole in the building to purchase our beverages. We could have easily taken the items without anyone knowing but being good citizens we didn't. How a business is running like this is unbelievable.

This is a review specifically of one employee here—Carlos. I was in the middle of a very long drive when suddenly my phone turned off and would not turn back on—I was using Google Maps and now had no idea how to get back home. I pulled over and asked Carlos if I could try to charge my phone; when it didn't respond, I asked him for directions. He took 15 minutes to write, by hand, three pages worth of directions he'd gathered from his own phone. If I were wealthy I would've given him money, but unfortunately this review is really the best I can do. Carlos is an exemplary employee and human being and any employer should be proud to have him represent them. Thanks for getting me home.

Went to buy 2 Mountain Dew Amp Price was listed 2 for $4 Cashier said it was over $7 for both even though I told her the sign in front of it says 2 for $4 but she said she can't change the price 🙄 Either their running a scam of false misleading advertising. Or their to lazy to fix the prices. Be aware whatever you buy there, whatever price it says on shelf, their going to charge you double. 🤬🤬🤬
