Awful place used to be good and recommended by car club members. Quoted me price to rebuild engine and told me would not exceed $3,800 this included them picking up in Los Angeles. Even emailed them to confirm that would be most I would pay. Told may be bit more due to recent increase in labor rates but would be close especially with all the new parts I was providing. Based on this I took engine up along with car as was going to have them. I even brought up well over $700 of parts since originally planned on doing a lot of the rebuild myself. This was discussed and I have emails on conversations. Once dropped off they were rude, unhelpful and as engine work progressed kept increasing the price until wanted almost double original estimate for a Triumph Spitfire engine. Even though they advertise and tell you they do all work done in house including machine work this is not the case. XKS emailed me that they would have to send part(s) out and I get to pay for. How dare I ask how much, how long will it take and why not being done in house. Eventually after several months of frustration had to pay people to go back up and get engine and car back. Paid them over $1,100 just to get engine back in pieces with many parts new and original not returned or in same condition as when dropped off. I had to rent trailer both ways and they did not even return my keys or license/registration. Left car to be worked on and they did nothing other than park outside for months and lose keys. Since they left outside and not covered massive amounts of rust and damage to exterior of car. All told over $2,000 in costs due to them and all I have is engine disassembled, rust, damage to car and original keys/parts not returned. Month later was told they found license/ registration, which they did mail back but as of today still have not returned my original car keys. Used to be good place but owner not involved and employees in office are the worst you will ever deal with. Wish I never left my car and engine with them. You would be better off taking elsewhere. Watch out!!

A well run classic car business. Clive and his staff were a pleasure to work with.. They did everything that they said they would do; outstanding workmanship, attention to detail, and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this shop.

This place is down right out of its mind. A car shop that fails at all attempts to recover what's actually mine. I have the title! I also have the keys. I have fuzzy dice in the window for looks (DONT TOUCH EVER). FAKEBSHOP BLANTING ABOUT THE ISSUES WITHBITS COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE. Too bad I'll never have my car taken here. The way I see it since your the shop owner you should have human and self dignity to respect property if it comes to you. I seen how you manipulate the costs. my bill is paid for!
