Wilsons Equipment Introduce

For residents of Rogersville, TN, seeking reliable auto repair and specialized services for recreational vehicles and equipment, **Wilsons Equipment** stands as a local option within the “Auto Repair Stations” category. Located at **1442 TN-70, Rogersville, TN 37857, USA**, Wilsons Equipment aims to serve the community's diverse automotive and small engine needs. They can be reached by phone at **(423) 500-1028** or mobile at **+1 423-500-1028**.

Wilsons Equipment operates as a general auto repair station, indicating a scope of services that likely extends beyond just cars. Given the customer reviews, it’s evident they cater to a broader range of machinery, including **4-wheelers (ATVs)** and **generators**, in addition to standard vehicle maintenance and repair. This versatility is a key feature, making them a potential one-stop shop for various mechanical issues for both daily drivers and recreational equipment. Services typically found at an auto repair station would include, but are not limited to, oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections and repairs, engine diagnostics, transmission services, and general preventative maintenance. Their involvement with ATVs and generators suggests a proficiency in small engine repair and more specialized diagnostic and repair techniques for these types of machines.

When considering the environment of Wilsons Equipment, as an auto repair station, one can generally expect a functional and practical setting. This would typically include a garage area with multiple bays for vehicles and equipment, specialized tools and diagnostic equipment, and a waiting area for customers. The nature of auto repair often means a busy, hands-on environment. Cleanliness and organization within the workshop are often indicators of a professional operation, contributing to efficiency and safety. While specific details about the interior aesthetics or customer amenities are not publicly detailed, the core focus of such establishments is the efficient and effective repair of machinery.

The services offered by Wilsons Equipment appear to be comprehensive, especially regarding certain specialized areas. One customer lauded their ability to get an **older 4-wheeler running "like a new one"** and within a tight timeframe, even during the busy Christmas season. This suggests a capability for thorough overhauls and a commitment to meeting customer deadlines. Such a service would likely involve extensive diagnostics, parts replacement, and fine-tuning to restore optimal performance. For ATVs, this could encompass engine work, transmission issues, suspension repairs, electrical problems, and general tune-ups. For generators, it would involve troubleshooting starting issues, power output problems, fuel system cleaning, and general maintenance to ensure reliable operation.

A key feature highlighted by positive customer feedback is their apparent ability to deliver prompt service, even under pressure. The anecdote about the "Christmas magic" for the 4-wheeler indicates a willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction, particularly when facing urgent needs or specific deadlines. This level of customer care, combined with effective repair work, can build strong community trust and repeat business. The term "best of the best" from one reviewer further underscores a perceived high level of service and competence.

However, it is important to provide an objective introduction based on all available information, which includes differing customer experiences. Another customer reported significant issues with their service, including **two 4-wheelers that ceased working shortly after servicing** and a **generator developing a gas leak**. This review also mentioned a lack of follow-up on attempts to rectify these issues, with unanswered emails, phone calls, and visits to the shop over several months. Furthermore, a subsequent inspection by another shop allegedly revealed that basic servicing procedures like oil and filter changes were not performed. These varying accounts illustrate that, like many service-based businesses, customer experiences can differ. For potential customers, it suggests the importance of clear communication and possibly verifying work performed.

As for promotional information, businesses in the "Auto Repair Stations" category often engage in various marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. While specific current promotions from Wilsons Equipment are not publicly detailed, typical offerings might include seasonal discounts on maintenance services (e.g., pre-winter checks, summer AC service), special rates for first-time customers, or package deals for routine maintenance. Local businesses often rely on word-of-mouth referrals, and consistent, high-quality service is the best form of promotion. Online presence, including positive reviews and an updated website, also plays a crucial role in today's market. Given the mix of reviews, Wilsons Equipment may focus on highlighting their successful repairs and commitment to customer satisfaction to address concerns raised.

In summary, Wilsons Equipment in Rogersville, TN, positioned within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, offers a range of services for vehicles, ATVs, and generators. Their features include specialized expertise in small engine repair and, according to some customers, a commitment to timely service. While some customers have experienced highly satisfactory results, others have reported issues, which is a common characteristic of service industries and highlights the importance of customer follow-up and verification. For local users, Wilsons Equipment represents an accessible option for their automotive and recreational equipment repair needs, and potential customers may wish to communicate clearly about their expectations and verify completed work.

Wilsons Equipment Customer Reviews

Best of the best! I would recommend them a million times! We had an older 4-wheeler that needed quite a bit of work done to it and needed it quickly (for a Christmas gift). We took it to Charles and he got it running like a new one and within our requested time frame, even during this busy time of year. They performed a little Christmas magic for us and we appreciate them and the service and care they provided. Merry Christmas!!

I would give a minus star if it was available. I had 2 4 wheelers down there to be serviced and one worked for about 2 weeks and then the other one quit. Also a generator that he worked on now has a gas leak. All the while she was quoting me Bible scriptures, he was pushing that knife deeper and deeper in my back. They said they would come and pick them up to see what was wrong but after about 6 months of non answered emails, phone calls and visits to the shop, I've yet to hear from them. I now have them at another shop who said the oil, filter, and all other things that should be done during servicing were not done. None of it.

Dropped off my Massimo UTV- Charles said it would be about three weeks before he could get to it. Requested service for not starting, repairing an oil leak, smoking (burning oil) and any scheduled maintenance due. Said he would call with an estimate (that never happened). Four weeks later I called and he had not worked on it- said two others ahead of me. When I called he would ask me which one was mine even though I had a ticket number- he said we don't use those. Eight weeks went by and he called- said he replaced the fuel injector, cover gasket, rear seal, spark plug (it was brand new- I replaced it before bringing to him), no more smoking (said it was due to oil dripping on the exhaust), oil filter, oil (holds 2.1 qts- charged me $47.97 for the oil- $5.99/ qt. at TSC). He said my winch was burned up - it wasn't working when I dropped it off. $450 labor, total of $683. Upon arriving home, I found the winch worked fine- the remote switch was plugged in wrong. Test driving it I couldn't go faster than 15 mph, and right away I could still see it was smoking! Had not driven two miles when it stopped moving and made a horrendous noise. Had to tow it home. Rather than drive another 140 mile round trip and days or weeks waiting, I decided to repair it myself. When I removed the side cover and cage around the primary clutch, the sheeve fell off the splined shaft because the flange nut had not been torqued down. After five hours of my own labor, I was able to fix it. During my repair I found multiple bolts and screws missing and have ordered replacements. I will reserve comment on what I think of his service- the above dialog speaks for itself.
