Weavers Auto Salvage Introduce
Weavers Auto Salvage, located at 149 Sand Ridge Rd, Lexington, TN 38351, USA, functions primarily as an auto parts store within the broader category of Auto Repair Stations, specifically specializing in recycled and used automotive components. As a salvage yard, its core business involves the acquisition of damaged, end-of-life, or unwanted vehicles, from which functional parts are extracted and resold. They can be reached by phone at (731) 968-8047 or via mobile at +1 731-968-8047.
The environment of an auto salvage yard like Weavers Auto Salvage typically presents a stark contrast to a conventional retail auto parts store. Based on customer feedback, the description "absolutely filthy" suggests a raw, industrial setting. This would imply an outdoor lot filled with numerous salvaged vehicles, often in various states of disrepair and disassembly. Organization might be less about polished displays and more about practical accessibility to parts. The ground may be uneven, potentially dusty or muddy depending on weather conditions, and customers might need to navigate through rows of vehicles to locate specific parts. The mention of a "speeding motorcycle just trying to get in the place" hints at a potentially challenging or informal entry point, and the difficulty in finding someone upon arrival suggests that customer service points might not be immediately obvious or clearly staffed at all times. While such environments are characteristic of salvage operations, the feedback indicates that the level of cleanliness and ease of navigation could be areas for improvement to enhance the customer experience. Despite these aspects, the functional purpose of the yard – providing parts – remains paramount.
The primary service offered by Weavers Auto Salvage is the provision of **used auto parts**. Their inventory is sourced from salvaged vehicles, making them a crucial resource for individuals and repair shops seeking cost-effective alternatives to new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or aftermarket parts. This typically includes a wide variety of components such as engines, transmissions, body panels (doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers), interior parts, electrical components, suspension parts, and more. A specific mention in the review highlights their stock of **tires**, indicating that this is a common item customers seek and find. While the quality of used parts can vary, the goal of a salvage yard is to provide components that are still functional and offer good value. Many salvage yards operate on a "U-Pull-It" model where customers bring their own tools to remove parts directly from vehicles, offering maximum savings, while others have staff who dismantle and retrieve parts. The reviews don't specify which model Weavers Auto Salvage follows, but their role is unequivocally to supply pre-owned automotive components.
The key features of Weavers Auto Salvage are a mixed bag, as conveyed by the customer reviews. On the positive side, customers highlight the presence of "Very good people" and describe the staff they dealt with as "really nice." This indicates a friendly and helpful approach from the personnel, which can significantly improve the customer experience even in a challenging environment. The availability of "really good tires and such" is another positive feature, suggesting that customers can often find quality used parts for their needs. This aspect of providing useful and affordable components contributes to the "always been pleased to do business with them" sentiment, demonstrating repeat patronage and satisfaction with the parts obtained. However, there are notable concerns regarding the **facility's cleanliness** ("absolutely filthy") and **accessibility/safety** ("nearly had a bad crash with a speeding motorcycle just trying to get in the place"). The difficulty in "find someone when you arrive" also points to potential issues with customer service efficiency or clear operational procedures upon entry. Furthermore, while generally providing good tires, one review notes an instance of a tire "losing pressure" and having "some dry rot," which underscores the inherent variability in the quality of used parts and the importance of customer vigilance.
From a promotional standpoint, Weavers Auto Salvage benefits from its role as a local source for affordable used auto parts. The positive interactions with staff are a strong point that could be emphasized. To address the negative feedback and improve their public image, Weavers Auto Salvage could focus on:
- **Improving site cleanliness and organization:** Even for a salvage yard, maintaining clearer pathways, managing debris, and enhancing overall tidiness could significantly improve the customer experience and safety.
- **Enhancing accessibility and customer reception:** Clearer signage for entry, better traffic flow management, and ensuring staff are readily available to assist new arrivals would resolve the issues of finding the place and finding assistance.
- **Transparency regarding part quality:** While used parts come with inherent risks, a clear policy on returns or exchanges for defective parts, or even a brief inspection report for major components like tires, could build more trust.
- **Highlighting affordability:** Continuously promoting the cost savings associated with used parts is a key draw.
In conclusion, Weavers Auto Salvage in Lexington, TN, operates as a specialized auto parts store, providing used and recycled automotive components. While customers commend the helpfulness of the staff and the general quality of the parts, particularly tires, challenges related to the facility's cleanliness, accessibility, and initial customer assistance have been noted. As a salvage yard, it offers a cost-effective solution for vehicle owners seeking affordable repairs, playing a role in the local auto repair ecosystem by supplying essential components. Addressing the mentioned environmental and logistical concerns would further enhance their reputation and service offering within the community.

The guy I dealt with there was really nice. However, the place is absolutely filthy & I nearly had a bad crash with a speeding motorcycle just trying to get in the place. It's also not easy to find someone when you arrive.

Had to get something replaced on my vehicle. This place was recommended to me. Will definitely use them again. They did a great job and the price was very reasonable. Also quick service.

I didn't get the man's name that assisted me, but he was very helpful. Went in for a decklid, he took it off for me and put it in my trunk. Even strapped it down for me, too. Will definitely go back if I'm ever in need of salvage parts.
