Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at the Walmart Auto Care Centers in Marion appear to be largely negative, highlighting several areas of concern:

  • Slow Tire Installation: One customer reported a significantly longer than expected wait time for a tire installation (2.5 hours for 4 tires, despite an appointment and empty service bays).
  • Lack of Organization: The store has been described as "extremely unorganized" over multiple visits in recent years.
  • Potential for Misdiagnosis or Unnecessary Service Refusal: One customer was told they couldn't get a routine oil change due to a supposed brake issue that was later found to be non-existent.
  • Questionable Service Practices: The same customer speculated about staff taking extended breaks during work hours due to empty service bays.
  • Ineffective Communication or Issue Resolution: When the misdiagnosis was reported, the customer was informed that the staff had to adhere to the technician's assessment, leading to a complete waste of the customer's time.
  • Recurring Issues: The presence of tow trucks in the parking lot on multiple occasions, as noted by one reviewer, might suggest recurring problems with vehicles serviced at this location.

Information regarding the environment of the service bays or any specific promotional offers is not provided in these reviews. However, the strong negative feedback regarding service speed, organization, and reliability should be carefully considered by potential customers.

In conclusion, while Walmart Auto Care Centers in Marion, OH, offers services such as tire installation and oil changes within the Auto Repair Stations category, recent customer experiences raise significant concerns about the efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of service. Local users may want to weigh these negative reviews heavily when deciding where to take their vehicles for service.

Walmart Auto Care Centers Customer Reviews

2.5 hours to install 4 tires. Have appointment at 5.get to walmart at 430. Been sitting for 2.5 hrs. It takes almost 1 hour. At a tire installation it takes less then an hour. Walmart in marion. Never again. Bad part is there's no other vehicles in bays. Only my truck since 5.

Everytime I've been to this store the last few years it's been extremely unorganized. I guess i should have considered it as an omen that a tow truck was already in the parking lot when I arrived, and the counter workers stated this was the second time in the last two days. Apparently, they couldn't do a routine oil change on my vehicle because the tech "claimed my brake was touching the floor"... Which would indicate a brake failure.... Low and behold I go out to drive it around the parking lot, and it brakes like normal without issue. I went back in and told the lady at the desk, but of course they have to go by what the tech says. Complete waste of time. All of the bays were empty at the time. I'm guessing they decided to take an extended 4/20 smoke break. Go elsewhere. It's not worth the hassle.

Walked in with the family for an oil change. Told it would be 30 minutes. No problem. We shopped for that time period. Got the text that service was done. Then away we went. One flaw I could mention was that the customer service woman behind the counter could have been more friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day? She just seemed a bit harsh on the attitude aspect of things. Idk.

We have had nothing but great experiences here. Even when I ordered the wrong size tires, even though the app told me they were correct, the guys were super helpful and able to get me squared away. Good people, fair prices, and timely service.

Made an appointment & took my car in for an oil change. The service was great, and I didn't have to wait for it to be done very long. I also had new wipers installed. I'm pleased with the service, and my car runs SOOO much better!

My husband, our daughter and I waited for our car to be seen for 2 hours only to be told that the service we requested they will not do it. Granted according to company policy they couldn’t do the service asked however instead of recommending us else where or simply telling us you can get that service some where else…they simply wanted us to pay for a new tire. So our tire got a screw in it. It wasn’t on the side wall it was within the tread of the tire. But according to Walmart the damage was too close to the side wall even though it was at least an inch away from the sidewall. I instantly would have taken to Logan’s but they were closed on this holiday Sunday afternoon. So that’s why we went with Walmart. Now, 2 customers before us with the same tire diagnosis was also told they had to get new tires. So when they told me that I instantly said nope I’ll wait and take it to Logan’s cause they will patch it. The woman at the desk said “probably”. Instantly admitting that their service is garbage. Then when I called to complain the manager of the auto department said “well ma’am that’s simply not good business for us to recommend that you take your business to our competitor” my response was that your obligation and best interest should be with your customers and Not with the company. Repeating customers are good business and I definitely won’t be a repeat since they don’t have their best interest with the customer instead it’s with a multi billion dollar company that sucks anyways. I also mentioned that; “getting bad reviews is also bad business.” I said; “you could have told me that other places would patch it, but we can’t cause it’s against our policy since it doesn’t meet requirements.” Instead they told us to get a new tire. Which is also not the best idea when you only need 1 tire. This whole experience was terrible and I would definitely stray away from them. 💯
