Walmart Auto Care Centers Customer Reviews

I am giving one star just for the review. In reality they get MAYBE half a star. I went to the Walmart Auto Center for my tire appointment and parked in the west parking lot (this is important). I have a Honda Civic and there were no lights on the dashboard or messages on the screen when I arrived. Went inside, confirmed this was my appointment, and waited for them to finish installing new tires. When they were done they told me the computer had to be relearned so just drive 25+ MPH and it should reset. Simple right? When I got in my car to leave the message screen and light were showing a tire pressure sensor issue along with an INCESSANT beeping. After driving at highway speeds for 10+ minutes I went back for them to fix the issue. The technicians could not figure it out so they recommended to return the following day when their manager could figure it out. On the receipt/work order copy they gave me they correctly identified my damaged windshield under "Damages Before Service". Under their comment section they noted that my sensor "needs to be replaced" and "scanner says to drive to relearn". Everything has been calm so far. I came back the next day, the manager could not figure it out and recommended I go to another tire shop with a better code reader/scanner. I calmly took his advice and went to another shop near my house. The tire shop was able to pin point exactly which sensor it was, and when they removed the tire I noticed the tire pressure sensor broken from the valve INSIDE THE NEW TIRE. At this point I'm livid. I paid about $77 for the tire shop to replace my pressure sensor. At this point, I want a refund for the replacement sensor! No problems before they handled/drove my car and suddenly there are problems after. The owner of the tire shop gave me a printed and hand-written receipt explaining the damage. I return to this Walmart Auto Center explaining the situation and wanting to be reimbursed for a problem they clearly caused and had to pay someone else to fix. This is when two managers/supervisors/leads started giving me an attitude. They went to review camera footage and after AN HOUR one of them returned, blatantly denied any wrongdoing, and refused to reimburse me. At this point I am angry and they call a "coach". After he comes I explain the following: 1. A Walmart technician drove my car before performing work and can verify there were no messages or warning lights before service. 2. They had the attention and foresight to (correctly) document the broken windshield, but not a damaged tire sensor which directly ties in to the service you're providing? 3. After service they had the attention to document the sensor needs to be replaced, but also needs to be relearned? Last time I checked "to be replaced" = no longer functioning properly. How can you repair an electronic measuring tool by making it do what it cannot function to do? Their own notes are a contradiction. 4. How can you see a 2 or 3-inch black object INSIDE a tire by looking at a security feed? 5. If the sensor was broken beforehand, why did the car's monitoring system not pick it up beforehand and how would it end up in the NEW TIRE instead of the old one? With no arguments, the "coach" reimbursed me for my money. This was absolute crap service and the technician leadership/managers have no integrity. I implore everyone to not give them your service. They will try to lie and manipulate to get away with slimy practices. Only God knows how many people they screwed over who didn't fight back.

Came here for tire change. Didn’t install it at all and was saying bs reason for appointment mixed when guy had check in my car by verifying info and all. Bad management. Better go somewhere else to save your time

They are not actually open at 7 am. When I arrived, two associates at the counter didn’t offer assistance, and the third informed me that they wouldn’t be able to help until Sunday at 3 pm. It’s Friday at 7am! There was no one loading cars, the TVs were off, and the other two employees seemed to be wandering aimlessly around the floor. It’s clear why there’s such a delay until Sunday. If this is any indication of their oil change service, it’s not worth it—save your gas money and avoid the long wait.

Unskilled mechanics, can’t do simple tire change. Broken my TPMS sensor. Doesn’t pickup the phone. Doesn’t take any liability for their mistake. Keep your car away from Walmart

This would have been 5 stars, but someone named Brian, decided to connect his Bluetooth phone to my car stereo, and began playing music. Very disrespectful. When I stood up to look, he turned the music off, That wasn't professional at all.

I must admit. I was kinda worried when I checked the reviews but I took a leep of faith. My experience was awesome. They accommodated me even when I came early. Highly recommend
