Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I was traveling through Asheville and was due service. Quick, professional, and thorough oil change. They used a vacuum system to remove the old oil through the dipstick from above and replaced the oil filter from underneath. I had a conversation with them about it and was very satisfied with the interaction and information provided. Very positive experience.

They forgot to replace the oil cap on my mom’s car after her oil change. Luckily she realized there was a problem and brought it back before her engine was ruined. The staff were pretty nonchalant about their error, which makes it seem that this level of carelessness is pretty standard for them. Mistakes happen, sure, but the least you could do was be kind, apologize, act like this isn’t a normal occurrence, offer some kind of compensation….this could have destroyed her engine.

Rude people!!! Mostly Colton. Alex, the manager, was very respectful. As a return customer who did around 10 oil changes in the last 2 years, I got a work truck. I will never return to this specific store.

17 July 2024, arrived at 8:01am, was checked in for an oil change. Then, the mechanic called me into the garage to observe the oil leaking from the Head Gasket. This must have just begun, because there's no oil spot in my driveway. Thank goodness it was caught early, my Honda Accord has 237,000 Miles..., nothing lasts forever. They were efficient enough to replace the gasket in less than Two 1/2 hours. I trust the Speedee team. The mechanic noticed one of the engine pieces I replaced myself, they are keenly aware. This is a good value.

no waiting. clean. fully staffed. knowledgeable. friendly. everything was explained and demonstrated well. when you pay a lot of money for a service, especially for you vehicle, you like to know the work is done right.

The tech who changed my oil messed up when putting in the oil filter. I left for a trip right after my oil change and leaked oil all the way there and back. When I went back to the location, they said it was a gasket problem and not their fault. $148 later, a real mechanic diagnosed the filter issue and had to fill me back up bc my oil was almost entirely gone after 7 days (and I’d even topped it off myself). My engine was almost ruined as it took 5 days before I was at my own driveway and able to notice the oil puddle I was leaving. You could have ruined my engine, and you had the gall to tell me it wasn’t your fault when I gave you the chance to fix it. I wasn’t even upset before, but I sure am now that I’m out $148 more and found out my engine could have been ruined because of this incident.

Outstanding customer service from the manager and entire staff. As a woman, taking your car to get serviced can be daunting, but not here. Will be a lifelong customer as long as the current management is there!

There is usually no wait time upon arriving. They were done with the work quickly and efficiently. Explained to me some of the things done and things that they couldn't do. Highly impressed with they're professionalism.
