Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Typically I Change my own oil. This is one of the reasons why I absolutely do not trust Valvoline but now that I’m over 50 years old, it gets hard for me to do it and I was leaving on a road trip for the holiday weekend and I in Vertente decided to have Valvoline changed the oil which was now a mistake. I specifically told them that I did not want anything except oil change, I don’t want to try to sell me lightbulbs or windshield wipers or whatever so the guy agreed to an oil change then I seen somebody head over with a screwdriver under my hood and I wondered why and then a moment later they emerge with my air filter asking me if I want it changed and I said no I told you I only want oil changed. Well I go today a week later and Valvoline and lo and behold half the screws are missing out of my air cleaner and the ones that are remaining are sticking up and not even tighten down so this is the kind of work they do

My husband takes our car here for almost every oil change because the service is always top notch. I was with him today when we had our oil changed and saw firsthand how kind, informative, and efficient the staff is. Alex and Misael did a great job servicing our vehicle and letting us know what services our car is due for without being pushy at all. They even printed out the prices for us to take to our dealer (the services they suggested are supposed to be covered under our purchase agreement with where we got our car), and if we have issues or they try to charge us a high price at our dealer, we will be bringing our car back here to get the services performed. They let us know that at some point someone put high adhesive duct tape on our cracked coolant container, we had no idea it was even broken, so that’s something we’ll look into for sure. In and out in 15 minutes for an oil change, stayed in the car and had pleasant conversation with the employees through the window. We will definitely be back, as usual!

I changed my car oil a few days ago. The service was somewhat different. I'm not sure if the man who serviced me was new or not, but I hadn't seen him before, and his treatment of me was somewhat strange and I didn't like it because he raised his voice when talking to me. Not only that, but he asked me if I would use the usual oil, so I answered yes, yet they put in a more expensive oil that I never mentioned I used before. In addition, he didn't give the receipt as usual.

Last week I went in on a busy day, and the staff did a great job of working on my car and getting all its updates without rushing. They appreciated my patience, and I appreciated their service. I always bring a book to read, just in case there is a wait. Even better, I noticed this past week after replacing my air filter that there was a buzzing noise coming from my front area. They took another look at it, and were able to fix it in 3 minutes. As someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars, I’m thankful they took my request seriously and helped me solve my car problems! I’m happy for their fast service and commend them for working fast in the heat!

This is the worst place for having any car service. I took my car yesterday for changing the oil and filter. The staff asked me to stay in the car and showed the conventional and premium oil change options. I opted the premium full synthetic oil option with its filter for $108, for which the staff informed to have 18 point car inspection with changing the filter, and filling air for free. The staff initiated checking the air filter first and he could not open the glove box after trying multiple attempts. He then asked me to take the car to the dealership service centre for it to be inspected. He further showed me a filter that he wanted me to buy it for $35. When I asked that you said it for free, he replied that it was for another engine oil filter which he said that it was changed while changing the oil. When I asked the older oil filter for inspection, he refused to show. Instead, he kept on promoting me to have additional services and products (wipers) for another $500, which was completely annoying. Meanwhile, while changing the oil, there was power outage and I had to be waiting there for an hour and half. After the power came, their credit card swiper didn't work and I was asked to pay by cash instead. When I said I did not carry cash with me, they forced me to do so by taking cash from surrounding ATMs at -22°F at 7.30 pm. If not, they threatened to block me accessing any Volvoline in the future. This is extremely rude, unprofessional, and dishonest business practice.

They are careless! I have noticed my car engine oil filler cup is missing, and I use valvoline for oil change service - I checked with valvoline if they have my car oil filler cup - but they told me to buy one from auto-zone and they will reimburse me for the price- they said they are sorry for this inconvenience. I am using this service center since 2021 for all my vehicles and I used to trust them. Sometime ago, my car check engine came up and I took it to the dealer- they found that the engine Air filter clumps were not tightened, that happened right after the oil change by valvoline. I recommend everyone to think twice before using valvoline - mistakes like that can cause fire or lose of engine. I am lucky- my car didn’t caught fire while driving on highway since the engine oil are everywhere on my engine bay - I will need to deep clean this somewhere and buy a new oil cap from the dealer after the weekends.

My daughter took her car in for an oil change. She came home in tears. They were rude and insulting to her. I’ve tried to teach her to be a responsible person and work hard. She has worked since she was 15 and has an older car. Although it’s older and burns a little oil it’s well maintained. They were laughing and making jokes telling her she needed to buy a newer car that had leather seats and upgrades of this decade. Then was stating what they had which was nicer. That they would just junk hers. The insults went on clear up until she paid and was leaving. If this is how they treat responsible hard working people they need to not work with the public.

The oil change and, tire balancing and fuel services were provided by the technicians very professional and prompt. The wait time was about 10 minutes to get into the bay. My vehicle is running much better now

Great service they took enough time to check all the items and fill the liquids. They recommend services but did not feel pushed. Really recommend.
