Cross country RVs Introduce

Cross Country RVs operates as a specialized "Auto Repair Station" catering exclusively to the unique needs of recreational vehicles (RVs). Unlike conventional auto repair shops that service passenger cars and trucks, Cross Country RVs focuses on the comprehensive maintenance, repair, and often sales of motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and even horse trailers. This specialization positions them as a critical resource for RV owners, ensuring their homes-on-wheels are safe, functional, and ready for adventure.

Environment and Facilities:

The environment of a Cross Country RV facility can vary depending on its specific offering, but generally, it is designed to accommodate the larger size and diverse needs of RVs. For locations that focus on sales, you will find expansive outdoor lots showcasing a wide array of new and used RVs, ranging from compact travel trailers to luxurious Class A motorhomes. These sales environments often include comfortable indoor showrooms where potential buyers can explore floor plans and discuss features with sales representatives. Service departments, which fall under the "Auto Repair Stations" category, feature large, high-bay garages capable of housing even the tallest and longest RVs. These bays are equipped with specialized lifts, diagnostic tools, and equipment necessary for intricate RV systems. The waiting areas are typically clean and comfortable, often with amenities like Wi-Fi, coffee, and sometimes even a lounge space, recognizing that RV repairs can sometimes take longer than standard vehicle services. For mobile service providers operating under the "Cross Country RVs" umbrella (such as "CrossCountry Mobile RV" or "Cross Country RV Solutions"), the environment is inherently flexible – the service comes directly to the customer's RV, whether at a campsite, storage facility, or home. This mobile aspect emphasizes convenience and responsiveness, bringing professional RV care right to the owner's location.

Services Offered:

Cross Country RVs provides a broad spectrum of services that encompass nearly every aspect of RV ownership, reflecting the complexity of these vehicles which combine automotive mechanics with residential systems. As an "Auto Repair Station" for RVs, their services extend far beyond basic engine work to include the intricate "house" components of an RV.

  • General RV Maintenance: This includes routine checks and tune-ups for all RV systems, such as engine and generator servicing (oil changes, filter replacements), chassis lubrication, brake inspections, and tire maintenance.
  • System Diagnostics and Repair: Expertise in diagnosing and repairing issues across all major RV systems. This can include:
    • Electrical Systems: Troubleshooting and repair of 12V DC and 120V AC electrical systems, including converters, inverters, battery banks, shore power connections, and generators.
    • Plumbing Systems: Repair of water heaters (gas/electric), water pumps, fresh water tanks, grey and black water tanks, toilets, and leak detection and repair.
    • HVAC Systems: Servicing and repair of RV furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
    • Appliance Repair: Diagnosis and repair of RV-specific appliances like absorption refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, and cooktops.
    • Slide-Out Systems: Repair and maintenance of hydraulic or electric slide-out mechanisms, including motors, gears, and seals.
  • Roof Maintenance and Repair: Crucial for preventing water damage, services include roof inspections, cleaning, sealing, and repair of various roofing materials (rubber, fiberglass, TPO).
  • Structural Repairs: Addressing issues with walls, floors, chassis, and exterior siding, especially after accidents or water ingress.
  • Accessory Installation: Installation of a wide range of RV accessories, from satellite dishes and entertainment systems to leveling jacks and towing equipment.
  • RV Solar Installation: A growing specialty, many Cross Country RVs locations or affiliated mobile services offer complete solar panel system design and installation, enabling off-grid capabilities. This includes panels, charge controllers, inverters, and battery banks.
  • Seasonal Services: Essential services like winterization (preparing the RV for cold storage) and de-winterization (preparing it for spring use).
  • Pre-Purchase and Pre-Sale Inspections: Certified RV inspections for potential buyers or sellers, providing detailed reports on the condition of the RV.
  • Mobile RV Repair: A significant advantage offered by some Cross Country RV entities is on-site or mobile repair services, bringing technicians directly to the customer's location. This is particularly valuable for large RVs or those experiencing issues that prevent them from being driven to a shop.

Features and Advantages:

Cross Country RVs distinguishes itself through several key features and advantages tailored to the RV community:

  • Specialized Expertise: Unlike general auto repair shops, Cross Country RVs' technicians are trained specifically on the complex and diverse systems found in RVs. Many are certified by industry organizations like the RV Industry Association (RVIA) or National RV Training Academy (NRVTA), and may hold certifications for specific manufacturers (e.g., Truma, Alde, Aqua Hot, Grand Design, Lippert).
  • Comprehensive Service Range: Their ability to handle both the automotive chassis and the residential "house" components of an RV under one roof (or via mobile service) is a major convenience for owners.
  • Focus on RV Lifestyle: Understanding the nuances of RV travel and living, such as the importance of reliable appliances on the road, or the desire for off-grid capabilities through solar power, allows them to provide more tailored and relevant services.
  • Mobile Service Availability: For many RV owners, especially those who live full-time in their RVs or are on a trip, the option of mobile repair is invaluable. It minimizes downtime and the logistical challenges of moving a large vehicle.
  • Parts and Accessories: Often, these facilities also have a parts department, stocking or ordering specialized RV components and accessories, making it a one-stop shop for RV needs.
  • Customer Education: Some Cross Country RV service providers emphasize educating their customers, explaining how RV systems work and offering advice on maintenance and operation.

Promotional Information:

Promotions at Cross Country RVs can be diverse, covering sales of new and used RVs, as well as service incentives. While specific, ongoing promotions can vary greatly by location and time, common types of offers include:

  • Sales Specials on RVs: For locations involved in RV sales, look for seasonal discounts, clearance events on previous model years, or special financing offers on new and used RVs. These can be advertised as "RV Specials" with significant savings off MSRP.
  • Service Discounts: Promotions on common RV services like winterization/de-winterization packages, multi-point inspections, or specific repairs (e.g., discounts on roof resealing or appliance repair labor).
  • Accessory Bundles: Special pricing on popular RV accessories, such as solar packages, leveling systems, or towing equipment, when purchased and installed together.
  • Referral Programs: Some businesses might offer incentives for existing customers who refer new clients for sales or service.
  • First-Time Customer Discounts: A common strategy to attract new clientele might involve a small discount on a first service appointment.
  • Loyalty Programs: For repeat customers, there might be loyalty programs offering discounted rates on future services or exclusive access to new products.

To find the most current promotions, it is advisable to visit the specific Cross Country RVs location's website, check their social media channels, or contact them directly. Given the significant investment in RVs, taking advantage of promotions for both sales and service can provide substantial value to RV owners, ensuring their adventures remain enjoyable and hassle-free.

I just came from out of state to visit my dad and he was showing me his camper. I just found out and seen for myself what was going on. He had been in the hospital when it was returned and didn’t get to inspect the work that was done until about two weeks ago when he was able to go into the camper. He had **Cross Country RV **(owner Nicholas Mitchell)** pick up the camper to repair a small soft spot on the main roof and to take out rotting wood in the upper part of the wall of the main camper so that it doesn’t catch when you try to put the slide out, out. It came back with more problems that had been created while it was in the shop. For instance, the slide out now has its own soft spot in it that wasn’t there before, there are footprints on there, which cannot withstand that much weight. They put a patch on there that wasn’t there before because they obviously must’ve poked another hole in the slide out roof. He also took it upon himself to switch out a ceiling panel in the kitchen after my dad told him several times not to touch it. In doing so he didn’t replace it with a matching piece. Furthermore, he also replaced some trim. The original trim is very flat and square at the edges, and about an inch wide. The trim that he had replaced it with is only about a half inch wide and rounded and white. It doesn’t blend in at all. There are places that needed trim and didn’t get it as you will see in the pictures. And we can’t figure out why the electric outlets in the bedroom aren’t working now. There is also a tv and a brand new fireplace on the wall against the bedroom that are now not working as well after it was returned. I am going to encourage my dad to get council and take them to claims court. It is going to cost another small fortune to repair all of the extra damages that were caused when he originally had 2 issues. I would never recommend this company. I will also be checking to see if this is a legit business.
