Twin Lakes Auto Body Introduce

Twin Lakes Auto Body operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, distinguishing itself as a specialized center for collision repair and comprehensive auto body services. Unlike general mechanical repair shops that focus on engine, brake, or transmission issues, Twin Lakes Auto Body concentrates on restoring the aesthetic and structural integrity of vehicles after accidents or damage. Their expertise lies in returning damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition, if not better, often working closely with insurance companies to streamline the repair process for their clients.

Environment and Facility

While specific public details about the exact size or internal layout of Twin Lakes Auto Body's facility are not widely available, an auto body shop of this nature would typically feature a dedicated, well-organized workspace. This includes areas for vehicle dismantling, frame straightening, sanding, painting, and reassembly. Modern auto body shops often invest in state-of-the-art equipment such as computerized frame measurement systems, downdraft paint booths for a pristine finish, and specialized tools for paintless dent repair. The environment would be geared towards precision and cleanliness, essential for high-quality paintwork and meticulous body repairs. A professional and customer-friendly reception area would also be expected, where clients can discuss repair needs, receive estimates, and handle insurance paperwork. The overall environment would reflect a commitment to quality and efficient workflow, handling vehicles with care throughout the repair process.

Services Offered

Twin Lakes Auto Body offers a comprehensive range of services focused on exterior vehicle repair and restoration, crucial for both safety and aesthetics after damage occurs. Their primary services include:

  • Collision Repair: This is their core service, addressing damage ranging from minor fender benders to major accidents. Their skilled technicians are equipped to repair significant structural damage, body panels, and ensure the vehicle's safety features are restored. This often involves intricate work to realign frames and chassis.
  • Paintless Dent Repair (PDR): For smaller dents and dings where the paint surface is not compromised, PDR is an efficient and cost-effective solution. This specialized technique allows technicians to remove dents without the need for traditional bodywork and repainting.
  • Scratch and Chip Repair: Addressing cosmetic imperfections such as scratches and paint chips, these services restore the vehicle's finish, preventing further damage and maintaining its appearance.
  • Bumper Repair and Replacement: Bumpers are frequently damaged in collisions. Twin Lakes Auto Body can repair scuffed, cracked, or dented bumpers, or replace them entirely if the damage is too severe, ensuring proper fit and function.
  • Windshield and Glass Replacement: They handle the replacement of damaged windshields, side windows, and rear windows, which is critical for visibility and the structural integrity of the vehicle.
  • Rust Removal and Repair: Addressing rust issues to prevent further corrosion and restore the affected body panels, which is important for the longevity and appearance of the vehicle.
  • Vehicle Painting and Color Matching: A vital aspect of auto body repair, this includes preparing surfaces, applying primer, paint, and clear coat, and meticulously matching the new paint to the vehicle's original color for a seamless finish. This requires specialized equipment and expertise to achieve a factory-like appearance.
  • Detailing and Restoration: After repairs, vehicles may undergo detailing to ensure they are returned to the customer in pristine condition, both inside and out. For older vehicles, they may also offer restoration services to bring them back to their original glory.

Promotional Information

  • Free Estimates: A standard and highly valued offering in the auto body industry is providing free, no-obligation estimates for repair work. This allows customers to understand the scope and cost of repairs before committing.
  • Direct Insurance Billing: While not a "promotion" in the traditional sense, the ability to work directly with all insurance companies is a significant convenience and selling point for customers, simplifying the financial aspect of collision repairs.
  • Customer Testimonials and Referrals: Positive word-of-mouth and customer reviews are incredibly powerful for auto body shops. Satisfied customers who have had their vehicles expertly repaired often become strong advocates, sharing their positive experiences with others.
  • Online Presence and Galleries: A well-maintained website showcasing before-and-after photos of repaired vehicles can effectively demonstrate their capabilities and quality of work. Social media can also be used to highlight projects and interact with the community.

I entrusted my truck to Twin Lakes Auto Body, and during the 23 days they had possession of it, someone drove it for a total of 527 miles without my permission. It seems that the vehicle was used for personal reasons, which likely accounts for the additional 11 days it was kept. To make matters worse, they failed to fix a dent on the driver’s side passenger door. They said they were giving me a phone number to a mobile paint-less dent repair company to fix the dent they did not fix, when I called the number I was told they do not fix dents. The truck was dropped off on January 9, 2025, with an expected completion date of January 20, 2025. However, it was not ready until January 31, 2025. I spoke with Belinda on January 9, 2025, about an additional dent that needed attention. She promised to call me on January 10, 2025, with a quote, but I never received a follow-up. The lack of communication and poor customer service have been incredibly disappointing. As a result, I now have to involve my lawyer to address these issues. This has, without a doubt, been one of the worst, if not the worst, experiences of my life.

Steer clear. Do not entrust this company with your vehicle. They kept our car for weeks beyond the promised return date. When we called for updates, someone would answer but repeatedly said they’d call us back—and never did. This went on for weeks. When we finally got the car back, a major dent on the driver’s side door hadn’t even been addressed. They did not even offer to fix it and instead referred us to a another dent repair company. To make matters worse, we discovered over 500 miles had been added to our vehicle while in their possession. The satellite radio was set to a rap station, and it was clear the vehicle had been used for personal reasons. Unprofessional, disorganized, and deeply disappointing.

Dropped it off January 20th, originally supposed to get it back Feb 4. Got pushed out 3 times now. First to February 11th, then 21st, now the 28th. My rental expires after 31 days so now im paying out of pocket for my rental. They better have it ready February 28th. What makes me mad was it was originally "20 hour job". Now its a "50 hour job". Tell me how a 50 hour job becomes 5 weeks (hopefully only 5).

Just picked up my truck today and it looks AMAZING!! I ran into a mailbox which ruined the entire right side of my truck, all the way down. Twin Lakes replaced all the destroyed pieces and painted it to look like new. It took a couple days longer than expected but they helped me out with my rental so I didn’t mind. They’d rather get the job right than to send out a vehicle that wasn’t done perfectly. Highly highly recommend.
