This place is Terrible! I came to this place about 4 months ago. To get my transmission repaired and some upgrades to my antique car. The main transmission mechanic had me order all the wrong stuff and set up for my car. Everything was wrong. They kept my car for 3 months and scratched it. The lead mechanic was very disrespectful to the shop manager (Jewel) and basically chose to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. A Grown man having temper tantrums yelling cursing and not showing up for work to repair customers car. He did a horrible job on my car and installed all the wrong parts he requested me to buy and gave my car back to me scratched up running hot and leaking fluid and shaking literally. I could not return parts because they were installed (incorrectly. They cost me way more than what the repair would have been. They don't do any research on your vehicle or have any computer to diagnose anything they just basically guess work on your car and if it acts up after what they guessed it to be costing the customer thousands of dollars, they just have temper tantrums in broad daylight. I never received an apology or resolution for scratching my custom paint job. They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, and the lead transmission mechanic doesn't give a dam about you or your vehicle. The shop manager puts up with it because i think he may be scared or something. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET YOUR CAR DAMAGED AND SITTING OR HAVING TO KEEP BRINGING BACK GETTING TOWED AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! They're not worth the money, headache or potential charge.

I've used their service twice and was treated to 5 star service both times. It's been about ten years since my first experience with them. That was when I had the pinion bearing go bad in my Chevy Silverado. I'm a mechanical person and I already knew the pinion bearing was bad, I was just looking for a quote to replace it. The owner test drove it and agreed, bad pinion bearing. But, couldn't give me a quote until he saw how the ring and pinion gears looked, as a bad pinion bearing will grind those gears out of spec. I got a call about 3 hours after dropping it off, "Good news, your ring and pinion gears are fine, you'll only need bearings replaced." Perfect opportunity to screw me and tell me the gears were trashed too. 10 stars for honesty. Second experience was about 5 years ago when my daughters Ford Taurus transmission failed in the middle of traffic. Yikes! Had it towed there and found hydraulic pump had failed probably due to a major overheat condition that required replacement of the engine earlier. Just a note for those that may not know, your engine coolant also cools your transmission. An overheat that destroys your engine will most likely destroy your transmission too. It just takes a bit of time for the fried clutches to start breaking up and fouling the hydraulic pump. Bottom line, I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat if the need ever arises again. Fingers crossed I don't, but I'd recommend them to a friend every time.

I have tried multiple times to get these guys to check out my AC to see if there is a leak or what the issue is with it, but the guy is never there, he leaves at three or 3:30 PM, the one and only guy. So I’m sure not too many people are going to them because there’s no time to get your stuff fixed there. You have to be there between 9 AM and 3 PM is what they tell me. Either that or they don’t like my skin tone and wish not to look at my car. How many cars do you think this guy fixes on a six hour shift?

Transworld Transmission will offer you a good price, but I don't feel their work is quality. They rebuilt my transmission two years ago, and, I have had to take my car back recently. The work that they recently did, was inadequate, and I have to await their return from vacation. I do not recommend them. I am only going back because they rebuild my transmission 2 years ago and need to make it right.
