I just had my transmission on a 97 Chevy silverado rebuilt by this shop -from start to finish they were very professional -did a great job and it was done in a few day's -they also install a new rear seal and flex plate ,no surprises at the end . I got an itemized list of what they did plus a 1 year 12000 mile warranty. highly recommend this shop for your transmission work .

A few years ago when this business (or just the name) was at South Curryer/Boone, I had my transmission repaired at a fair price. Recently, at this Blosser location, I took my vehicle in because my transmission was slipping. They checked/changed the fluid (at least they say they did), charged me $200.00 and said everything is fine. Four (4) months later my transmission went out. Now they want to charge me $2,400.00 to fix it!!! I don't think so. In regards to this location: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Beware: This is not the same Transmission Exchange from Curryer/Boone, they just took the name (maybe a relative of original owner). If you have a bad experience here also, please post for others and warn them.

They did a great job replacing my tricky CVT transmission. They are "no-frills", yet professional, honest, and kind. While I had to pick up and exchange the parts myself, they made sure everything was ready for me and the proper parts waiting for me at Nissan. Using them saved me quite a bit of money over having the dealership do the work. Other shops in the area referred me to the dealership because it is tricky and has to be programmed, and they didn't want to deal with it.

Unbelievable! My Fird F150, automatic, first gear went bad; grinding and noisy. Dealer and others said, “you need new trans”, I’m like “really? Ford replaced 45k miles ago. You can’t just address the first gear?” Frustrated, I searched out a shop in Santa Maria I had used 20+ years ago; out of business. That’s when I accidentally saw the Transmission Exchange sign. I explained the above to Jose. He says, “Oh ya, that’s prob’ly.... Me, “you can fix just that?” Shortened story: He made the appointment, had the truck back to me when he said they would, and they ended up (after finding several parts worn and apparently missed by Ford trans rebuilders) refurbishing the entire tranny at no extra than the original quote which was considerably less than replacement trans quotes!! So, would I recommend this shop? Hell ya!
