Top Of The Hill Auto & Truck Repairs Customer Reviews

Had a bad experience in purchasing a car - within 30 days of buying it I had two fist sized holes in the engine block from the pistons rocketing out.. so with no choice I had to have a new one dropped in it. Tim worked with me and my slim budget with options - substantially going above and beyond and got an engine he looked around for himself - with similar miles put in within a week or so. He inspected the rest of the inner workings and did everything else found that needed to be done. Making sure that it was safe to drive and that I wouldn’t have any further issues. Happy to say almost 2 years later I’ve yet to run into any other problems! and I can’t thank him enough for making what little money I had go far and actually helped us out. Can’t boast enough about how solid this ship was. Hopefully I won’t have to see them anytime soon, but if I do, I know who I’m calling!

My family was very lucky to find Tim's business, Top of the Hill, when we moved up to Clio 10 years ago. He always takes very good care of us and is cheaper than any other place I've ever went to. When I ended up needing a new car to commute to Dearborn and back for clinicals, he sold me a 2003 Buick Lasabre with low miles at a great price. That was almost 7 years ago and the car is still dependable and has not needed any major repairs. I've lived downstate now for the last 3 years and still continue to drive all the way to Top of the Hill for repairs and maintenance. I know that I can trust Tim not to mark up parts or try and get me to purchase things that I don't actually need. Top of the Hill is a rare find amongst mechanic shops.

Tim and his mechanics are good men. They are kind, patient, respectful, and understanding. That’s hard to find now days, especially being a female. Tim went above and beyond to get my jeep fixed for me last minute before a trip. He is also a fair man when it comes to prices. The work is top notch quality, and as a female it’s hard to find someone to listen . And his work is spectacular and reliable. He has equipment for front alignment, dealer quality diagnostic, and body repair (which I’ve taken my old truck in to get the whole side repair and it is absolutely beautiful). And most importantly he is a family man, glad to have him as part of the community.

My son called to have his older model Volkswagen diagnosed. Waited a week to hear back and when I finally got a live person on the phone he said I don’t know what’s wrong with it and basically nothing he could do because he said he doesn’t work on VWs. We were very clear that it was a VW and his response was still I must not have known it was. I tried to ask clarifying questions so I could figure the next course of actio and he told me I was being rude for doing so. Horrible customer service. He also complained about how busy he is and that’s why we couldn’t get any information. For over a week. He did say it would take a couple of days before he got to it. A week is more than a couple of days. It is not the customers fault that you have more work than you can handle. That is your fault. Scale your business to handle what you take in or turn people away.
