Tom was awesome. Squeezed me and after looking at my car gave me a more than fair estimate AND said he could complete the repair the same day. Grateful and so happy to find a tech/mechanic I feel I can trust to be honest.

These guys are the best in the business. Very knowledgeable and very meticulous with your vehicle. They will treat your baby as if it were their own and really know how to treat customers as family! I won't go anywhere else. From Tommy at the front desk to the head mechanic which is Tommy the owner and his brother you'll be in for a 100% professional experience.

My experience was a rare one when it comes to mechanics. The brothers at Tom's Auto have been doing this for 30+ years and work methodically together to ensure fast and reliable service. No pressure and given a few options for my repair along with a great price makes these guys a no brainer for future business.

I have been taking my vehicles to Tom's for more than a decade, and I will continue to do so. It's so difficult to find an honest and fair mechanic, but Tom and his brother are exactly that. They will not suggest unneeded services or repairs like what is common at other shops. They don't upsell you. They fix the problem, do it right, and never try for anything else - they aren't salesman, they're just amazing mechanics. One time we took Tom a car that had an issue. On inspection, he found that the engine mounts were almost rusted through, and he didn't recommend sinking another penny in it, because HE wouldn't. Sure enough, a week later the mounts failed and the car had to be scrapped - he saved us hundreds! That is the kind of shop you're dealing with. Tom's prices are more than fair, some of the lowest around. The quality of work he delivers is unparalleled - he gets the job done, and gets it done right, without guessing, and without replacing parts until the issue is resolved. This shop has been in this location since the early 80's. I make no qualms about recommending this shop to all my family and friends. In fact, I had car issues and I once had a coworker recommend Tom's to ME, even though that is who I was planning on taking it to anyway! This is seriously the best kept secret in the area - it is in the storage unit area behind Chick Fil-A in Willoughby. Take your cars here, you'll never use another shop. Oh, and as a response to the one negative review - there is no price gouging when it comes to parts or labor at this shop. Again, they will go out of their way to save you money every step of the way. I brought in a laundry list of things that Firestone Tire (in Mentor) said I needed done - Tom checked every item on the list and assured me that I didn't need any of the work that they recommended. Dealerships and chain locations like to suggest lots of work and upsell you every chance they get. But at Tom's, you've got an honest man doing incredible work, and he hasn't let me down after 10+ years. Tom, if you read this, thanks for being an upstanding small business in our area!
