Take 5 Oil Change Introduce

Take 5 Oil Change, located at 1210 W Guadalupe Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202, USA, presents itself as a convenient and speedy solution for routine vehicle maintenance within the "Auto Repair Stations" category. You can reach them at (480) 207-3809 or +1 480-207-3809 for service inquiries. This establishment aims to cater to drivers seeking quick turnaround times for essential services, primarily focusing on oil changes and other fluid-related maintenance tasks, often without the need for an appointment.

Environment and Service Model

Take 5 Oil Change operates on a distinct service model designed for maximum customer convenience: the stay-in-your-car service. This means that patrons remain in their vehicles while technicians perform the necessary maintenance. This approach offers a significant advantage for those who value time and prefer not to wait in a lounge area. The environment, therefore, is structured around multiple service bays where technicians work simultaneously on a vehicle. As one customer noted, "they had 2-3 technicians working on my vehicle at any given moment," which contributes to the expedited service. While specific details about the aesthetics or waiting areas are less relevant given the in-car model, the emphasis is clearly on efficiency and a streamlined process. The ability to "watch everything happen" from the comfort of your car also speaks to a level of transparency in their operation.

Services Offered

As an "Auto Repair Station" specializing in rapid service, Take 5 Oil Change provides a focused set of maintenance offerings:

  • Oil Changes: This is their flagship service. They aim to perform quick oil changes, allowing customers to get back on the road swiftly. They offer various oil types to suit different vehicle specifications.

  • Coolant System Flush: Beyond just oil, they also offer services like coolant system flushes, which are crucial for maintaining engine temperature and preventing overheating.

  • Tire Air Pressure Reset: As part of their comprehensive quick check, they reset tire air pressure, which is vital for vehicle safety, fuel efficiency, and tire longevity.

  • Rear Differential Service: This involves checking and servicing the fluid in the rear differential, an important component for many vehicles, especially trucks and SUVs, ensuring smooth power transfer to the wheels.

  • Other Fluid Checks and Top-offs: While not explicitly detailed, similar quick-service oil change establishments typically offer checks and top-offs for other essential fluids like power steering fluid, brake fluid, and windshield wiper fluid as part of their standard service package.

Features and Customer Experience

Take 5 Oil Change highlights several features intended to attract and retain customers:

  • Speed and Convenience: The primary appeal is the swift, no-appointment-needed service. This is ideal for busy individuals who need routine maintenance performed quickly without disrupting their schedule. The "stay-in-your-car service" further enhances this convenience.

  • Multiple Technicians: The practice of having "2-3 technicians working on my vehicle at any given moment" significantly reduces service time, contributing to the "fast" experience they promise.

  • Transparency: Being able to "watch everything happen" from inside your car can offer peace of mind and builds a sense of trust, as customers can observe the work being performed.

However, customer experiences at Take 5 Oil Change can be mixed, as reflected in available reviews. While the convenience and speed are often praised, instances of service issues have also been reported. One customer lauded the "great" and "fast stay-in-your-car service," appreciating the efficiency despite the slightly higher cost, noting they would "definitely consider going again."

Conversely, a recent customer's experience illustrates potential downsides. This individual reported a critical issue with their truck "seizing" and "hardly driv" after an oil change, attributing it to the oil being "way overfilled." This incident led to significant inconvenience, including a loss of a work vehicle and delays in resolution. The customer's frustration stemmed from what they perceived as a lack of immediate corporate support and a district manager's unhelpful line of questioning, which seemed to put the onus on the customer to provide technical information that the shop should have had. This highlights the critical importance of accurate service execution and responsive customer support, especially when errors occur. It also raises questions about staff training and consistency in service quality across different locations or shifts. The customer's sentiment, "This should not be my problem!" underscores the expectation that a professional auto repair station takes full responsibility for its work and resolves issues promptly.

Promotional Information

Take 5 Oil Change's core promotional strategy revolves around its promise of speed and convenience. Their slogan, or implied promise, is about getting you in and out quickly, often without an appointment. While the provided information does not include specific deals or discounts, their value proposition is built on saving customers time. The slightly higher price point, as noted by one customer, is positioned as a trade-off for this expedited service. They likely advertise their no-appointment-needed policy and the unique stay-in-your-car model as key differentiators. Potential customers seeking a speedy, hassle-free oil change will find this aspect particularly appealing. However, the critical review also serves as a reminder that while speed is a benefit, it must be consistently paired with accuracy and quality of service to maintain customer trust and satisfaction.

For specific pricing or current offers, it is always advisable to contact the Mesa location of Take 5 Oil Change directly via their phone number, (480) 207-3809. They are positioned to serve those who prioritize quick maintenance and are willing to pay a premium for the convenience of staying in their vehicle during service.

Take 5 Oil Change Customer Reviews

This place was great! A little pricey, but not ridiculously so. You’re paying for fast stay-in-your-car service. They changed my oil, flushed my coolant system, reset all my tires air pressure, and serviced my rear differential, all while I sat in my car. Probably $50 to $75 more than going somewhere else, but no appointment was needed, they had 2-3 technicians working on my vehicle at any given moment, and I got to watch everything happen. I’ll definitely consider going again!

First time leaving a bad review for a company: I'm beyond disappointed right now with Take 5 Oil Change in Mesa! I brought my truck in for a simple oil change yesterday afternoon. This morning when I started my truck it started seizing and could hardly drive. I was barely able to get it back into the driveway. I wiped off the dipstick and checked the level and it was way overfilled. After showing it to my husband to confirm, I placed a call into cooperate. Now, I'm without a work truck that I use as a Landscape Designer and have to wait up to 48 hours for someone from fleet services to tow my truck away and probably another 48 hours to get it fixed, if damages have not occurred. I need my work vehicle for my job and to take my son to school. They're a large company, can't they just send someone over to have the oil drained to see if that fixes the problem? This is total crap. I'm trying to be patient and have been polite. The thing that I don't like is that it seems like I'm getting the run around. The District Manager asked me over the phone if I knew how much oil my truck took. He asked for me to go find my owners manual and look it up myself. I told him that I wasn't sure why he was asking for me to do that but I would look it up in the manual. I opened up the manual and it showed all 4 engine styles for a Ford F150. He said, well I was just trying to find out what engine you had. He could have asked me from the start but, why would I need to ask him this? The shop had my VIN number, make and model. I'm not the auto shop. I just brought my truck in for a simple oil change. I'm left with so many questions. Do they actually think that I added more oil in to my perfectly running work truck that I love? I brought my truck into the Ford Dealer a few months ago to make sure that I was staying on top of maintenance and had full diagnostic done. We hear stories of how men treat women at auto shops. Would the district Manager have asked my husband the same questions? I will remove this post or change my rating if this gets resolved. But for now, I'm VERY upset. I'm far too busy to be dealing with vehicle problems. I understand that people make mistakes. I just need this company to help a lady out, getting back on the road again for my job. Seriously, this needs to happen ASAP. This should not be my problem!

Everyone was polite, honest. Did great. Take both cars there Left above but next day my wife is stranded on side of road with her skid plate dragging on the ground has caused damage. They obviously did not secure bolts and I only live 5 min away. Now my wife drives to work and is stranded. No one answers at the location it happens and my calls get pushed to a third party to get car towed, from there they take pictures and send for approval. We now have 2 people of miss pay from work. Unbelievable do not use. They don’t even get 1 star but makes me leave 1 star.
