Take 5 Oil Change Introduce

Take 5 Oil Change, located at 140 N Springboro Pike, Miamisburg, OH 45449, USA, operates as a specialized **Auto Repair Station** focusing primarily on express oil changes and quick, routine vehicle maintenance services. Local users can reach them by phone at (937) 853-8947 or mobile at +1 937-853-8947.

Environment and Facilities

Take 5 Oil Change centers are typically designed for speed and convenience, emphasizing a "drive-thru" model. This means customers often remain in their vehicles while service is performed, eliminating the need for a traditional waiting room. The environment is engineered for efficiency, with multiple bays to accommodate a steady flow of vehicles. The layout is streamlined to allow technicians quick access to the underside of the vehicle. While there isn't a traditional customer lounge, the focus is on getting customers in and out quickly, minimizing disruption to their day. The service area is expected to be well-lit and organized to facilitate swift and accurate work. The operational model prioritizes a quick turnaround, making it ideal for busy individuals seeking efficient vehicle maintenance. The company's overall branding promotes transparency, with service visible to the customer from their vehicle, and a clear communication style during the service process.

Services Offered

As an **Auto Repair Station** primarily focused on rapid service, Take 5 Oil Change specializes in essential vehicle maintenance tasks that can be performed quickly without an appointment. Their core service is, as their name suggests, oil changes, but they also offer a range of complementary quick services. These typically include:

  • **Oil Changes:** Their signature service, often completed in about 5 minutes, allowing customers to stay in their car. They offer various types of oil, including conventional, synthetic blend, and full synthetic, to meet different vehicle specifications.
  • **Fluid Checks and Top-Offs:** Comprehensive checks of vital fluids such as transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield wiper fluid, with top-offs as needed.
  • **Filter Replacements:** This commonly includes air filter replacement, cabin air filter replacement, and fuel filter replacement, all crucial for vehicle performance and cabin air quality.
  • **Wiper Blade Replacement:** As indicated by customer feedback, they offer and install windshield wiper blades, for both front and rear.
  • **Tire Pressure Checks:** Ensuring tires are properly inflated for safety and fuel efficiency.
  • **Multi-Point Inspections:** A quick visual check of key vehicle components to identify potential issues, often provided as a complimentary service with an oil change.

It's important to note that Take 5 Oil Change's model is geared towards preventative maintenance and quick fixes. They do not typically perform complex diagnostic work, engine repairs, or major mechanical overhauls. Their strength lies in providing fast, convenient, and routine service.

Key Features and Customer Experience

The primary feature of Take 5 Oil Change is its **speed and convenience**. The "drive-thru" concept means no appointments are necessary, and customers can stay in their vehicle during service, making it a highly time-efficient option for routine maintenance. This model is designed to minimize disruption to a customer's day. The company emphasizes clear communication during the service process, with technicians often explaining services and findings directly to the customer through their car window. A positive customer review highlights this, praising Leah at this location for being "so patient with my every question" and "thorough and patient with her end of the oil change review," ensuring the customer felt comfortable and understood the service provided. This points to instances where staff are highly effective in communicating and ensuring customer satisfaction.

However, the customer experience can vary significantly, as evidenced by a highly critical review. This review describes a severe issue with a **mismatched and oversized rear windshield wiper** being sold and installed by the manager, Andrew. The customer reported immediate functional problems and significant paint damage to their vehicle due to the ill-fitting part. The repeated attempts by the manager to re-install the incorrect part, despite the customer's clear concerns and visible damage, represent a significant breakdown in service quality, product knowledge, and customer care. The customer's perception of potential racial or gender motivation, while not definitively confirmed by the given information, underscores a profound level of distrust and dissatisfaction arising from the incident. The need for corporate intervention and third-party claims to rectify the damage highlights a severe failure in local management accountability and problem resolution. This contrasting experience demonstrates that while the service model aims for efficiency, the quality of execution and commitment to customer satisfaction can be inconsistent, particularly concerning added-on services beyond the core oil change.

The incident regarding the incorrect wiper installation also raises questions about **inventory management** and **product knowledge** among staff for supplementary services. The customer explicitly mentioned that filters were out of stock, questioning why the wiper was not handled similarly. This suggests a potential disconnect in how different inventory items are managed or communicated to customers. The resolution through corporate and a third-party claim system indicates that while local issues can occur, the company does have a process for addressing serious customer grievances, albeit one that can be prolonged and frustrating for the customer.

Promotional Information

While no specific promotional offers were included in the provided customer reviews, Take 5 Oil Change, as a national chain, frequently runs various promotions to attract and retain customers. • **Bundle Deals:** Offers for combining an oil change with another service, like an air filter replacement, at a reduced price.

Take 5 Oil Change Customer Reviews

The manager at this location, Andrew, knowingly sold & installed a rear windshield wiper that was not for my car & 2x too big. The very next day it rained so hard I couldn't get over on the highway because when I turned on the wiper it got stuck up on my paint, luckily a semi got over and I follow suit. I drove straight here to rectify the issue. I repeatedly said I think it's too big for my vehicle it getting stuck up on my paint. I could hear it hitting the paint & kept yelling it out the window, but he continuously put the same one back on acting as if he was adjusting it or replacing it causing further scratches across the entire back of my car. I know if I could hear it he could see that it was happening they were deep white long scratches . The initial install as well as the replacement day are recorded. I was not rude either day, very well mannered per both recordings. He eventually listened to me saying it was too big & admitted they didn't have the one for my vehicle in stock & sent me to the location down the road. This had to be a racially motivated and or gender motived because what other reason would you have had to knowingly sale and install something not made for my vehicle. You told me the filters weren't in stock so why not the wiper too? This is why I don't do added on services. For all I know he didn't put the $100 oil and put the cheaper one. Called cooperate & made a claim to have the repairs fixed (it took at while 3rd party claims but it got done). First & last time at this location. Extremely disappointed that they have an employee, let alone a manager that is okay with doing stuff like this . BEWARE

By far the best oil change experience I have ever had. I’ve used take five before but not this location. Leah was so patient with my every question and made sure I felt comfortable with her response to ensure I understood. She was thorough and patient with her end of the oil change review letting me know where my levels were and now are. Thank you again! :)

Bryce ( Miamisburg) was great and did a fantastic job, you don’t get great customer service these days anymore but here you will especially if you are talking with him! I love when management hires and sees great people to work on their team - you did a great job!

Very friendly staff. MJ was extremely polite and very thorough with explaining what was done and what would need further attention as far as filters and windshield wipers and coolant levels and so on and so forth. The manager (I apologize I don’t remember her name) super professional and I will continue to bring my vehicles here.

One of the employees was extremely helpful and very apologetic about the wait time. I waited 30 before being approached. Once in the bay, I was there another 45 minutes. After multiple apologies for the wait time, the technology/computer was not working. The price was fair and I think they did a quality job, but either they were understaffed, or an employee was being trained so it took longer. Again, very friendly staff, but was not expecting over an hour visit at a quick oil change location.
