As an "Auto Repair Station" specializing in quick lubes, Take 5 Oil Change offers a streamlined approach to vehicle upkeep. Their core offering involves not just the oil change itself but also a suite of basic preventative checks and top-offs. The "goods for sale" are primarily the various types of motor oils, oil filters, and other fluids necessary for vehicle maintenance, which are integral to their service packages. Their business model emphasizes efficiency and customer convenience, aiming to complete services rapidly so customers can get back on the road quickly.
The environment at Take 5 Oil Change, according to customer feedback, appears to be consistently friendly and courteous. Customers frequently highlight the positive demeanor of the staff, describing the atmosphere as "very friendly." This suggests that the employees are trained to be welcoming and personable, contributing to a pleasant customer experience. The drive-thru model inherently creates a fast-paced environment, but the staff seems to maintain a positive attitude within this efficiency-driven setting. The offering of complimentary bottled water further enhances the customer-friendly aspect of the environment. However, despite the friendly interactions, some concerns related to the technical aspects of the service and pricing can impact the overall customer perception of the environment.
Take 5 Oil Change offers a focused set of services centered around vehicle fluid maintenance and basic checks. Their primary service offerings include:
Oil Changes: This is their signature service, providing quick replacement of engine oil and oil filters. They likely offer various types of oil, including conventional, synthetic blend, and full synthetic, to suit different vehicle requirements and customer preferences.
Tire Pressure Checks: As part of their routine service, they check and adjust tire pressure, which is crucial for vehicle safety, fuel efficiency, and tire longevity.
Windshield Wash: They offer to wash the front windshield, a small but appreciated courtesy that adds to the convenience of the service.
Fluid Top-Offs: They top off various essential fluids, which typically include windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant, ensuring optimal levels for vehicle operation.
These services are designed to be performed quickly, typically within a few minutes, leveraging their drive-thru model. This allows customers to stay in their vehicles, minimizing disruption to their day.
Several features distinguish Take 5 Oil Change within the auto repair station landscape:
Drive-Thru Convenience: The most prominent feature is their drive-thru service model, which eliminates the need for appointments and allows customers to remain in their vehicles while service is performed. This offers unparalleled speed and convenience for routine maintenance.
Quick Service: As suggested by the name "Take 5," their services are designed to be completed rapidly, making them an ideal choice for busy individuals.
Friendly and Courteous Staff: Consistently highlighted in reviews, the friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable demeanor of their employees is a significant positive feature, contributing to a pleasant customer interaction.
Value-Added Checks: Beyond just the oil change, services like tire pressure checks, windshield washing, and fluid top-offs are included, adding perceived value to the overall service package.
Customer Engagement: The staff interacts with customers, explaining services and offering bottled water, creating a more personalized experience despite the speed of service.
However, some features may be perceived negatively by certain customers:
Pricing Concerns: One customer found the service to be "kind of pricey," even with the additional checks, suggesting that some customers may find their rates higher compared to other options.
Oil Life Monitor Reset: A significant concern raised by a customer was that the oil life monitor was not reset to 100% after the oil change, leading to uncertainty about whether new oil was actually put in the vehicle. This indicates a potential procedural oversight or a lack of clear communication on how to reset the indicator, which can erode customer trust.
Limited Scope of Services: As a quick lube station, they do not perform in-depth diagnostics or major mechanical repairs, which means customers with more complex vehicle issues will need to seek services elsewhere.
Regarding promotional information, no explicit promotional offers such as discounts or specific deals were provided in the customer reviews. The core "promotional information" for Take 5 Oil Change is embedded in their service model itself: the promise of speed, convenience, and a friendly, hassle-free experience. The positive customer review, highlighting the "friendly atmosphere," "quick service," and courteous staff, serves as valuable word-of-mouth promotion. The additional services like tire pressure checks, windshield washes, and bottled water are also implicit promotional points, as they add value to the basic oil change. However, the concerns raised about pricing and the oil life monitor not being reset can detract from this promotional appeal, as these issues directly impact customer confidence and perceived value. It is common for quick lube chains like Take 5 to offer coupons or specials, often advertised online or through local flyers. Therefore, it is recommended that potential customers directly contact Take 5 Oil Change at (715) 201-8843 or visit their website to inquire about any current promotions or discounts they may be offering for their services.

Take 5 Oil Change Customer Reviews
It was a very friendly atmosphere. First time ever doing a take 5 oil change. Was kind of pricey I thought. Even tho they did check tire pressure wash the front windshield and topped off all fluids it was a little pricey. The only thing that gets me is that my vehicle shows 0 percent oil life it should say 100 after getting a oil change unless they didn't put new oil in or they didn't reset it. I tried pumping the brakes which usually resets the oil change light that still keeps flashing across my dashboard. I liked the quick service and they even give u bottled water but I don't know if I would go back because I'm not sure of their was oil put in my vehicle because it shouldn't show 0 percent oil life. Plus they should of reset the oil light. Or told me how to do it. I was nice and even gave them a $10 tip to share between the 2 of them.

Have been going here since 2019 and have always had great service. Went yesterday (3/15/25) and let them know about a recent issue with the oil pooling at the top of the motor by the filter. They figured it out and replaced the oil filter cap (broken piece inside). I’ve drove around 70 miles since then and am not having any issues. Super appreciate the guys that helped yesterday and all the others before that provided great and honest service.

Daniel and Josh were quick and easy to talk to. Super informative, and let me know all my options without being pushy. I love Take 5!

Went the other day with my girlfriend, seemed understaffed (not meant as a complaint at all!!) but the employees were still super polite, going so far as to have a needed part sent over from Autozone to rectify an issue from the prior oil change done elsewhere. I’ve NEVER had an issue here; this was just so above and beyond I was finally motivated enough to leave a review.
