Sure Start Auto Repair Introduce

Sure Start Auto Repair, situated at 1206 Ownby Cir, Sevierville, TN 37862, USA, operates as an "Auto Repair Station" serving the local community. This business aims to provide essential automotive repair and maintenance services, catering to a range of vehicle issues for residents and visitors in the Sevierville area. With direct phone contact at (865) 908-4939 and +1 865-908-4939, they are accessible for inquiries and service scheduling.

As an "Auto Repair Station," Sure Start Auto Repair's physical environment would typically consist of a functional workshop designed to handle various vehicle types and repairs. This usually includes multiple service bays equipped with lifts, diagnostic tools, and a range of equipment for mechanical work. A customer reception area would also be expected, where clients can check in their vehicles, discuss issues with staff, and potentially wait during minor services. While detailed descriptions of the aesthetic or specific amenities are not provided, the primary focus of such a facility is on practical utility and efficient vehicle processing. The address itself, 1206 Ownby Cir, is noted in real estate listings as a 4-bay garage facility, indicating it is set up specifically for auto mechanic repair, further confirming its operational environment as a dedicated service center.

Sure Start Auto Repair offers a variety of services typical of a general "Auto Repair Station." Based on customer reviews, the shop is known to handle diverse automotive problems, from routine maintenance to more complex repairs. One customer specifically mentions taking "everything from Dodge van to BMW," indicating a broad capability across different vehicle makes and models. While not exhaustive, common services offered by an auto repair shop of this nature would include oil changes, brake inspections and repairs, engine diagnostics, suspension work, and potentially transmission services. One customer's experience explicitly details a transmission repair, highlighting this as a service they undertake. Other typical offerings for auto repair stations include tire rotations, fluid checks, battery testing, and general troubleshooting for warning lights or performance issues. The provided information directly confirms 'oil change' as an amenity, and the broad statement that 'Sherman knows about I guess every car' suggests a wide range of mechanical expertise.

The features of Sure Start Auto Repair present a dichotomy based on the provided customer feedback. On one hand, a significant positive feature highlighted by a customer is the perceived **honesty and knowledge** of the mechanic, Sherman. This customer states, "Most honest and best place to take your car. I won't go anywhere else. Sherman knows about I guess every car because I have taken him everything from Dodge van to BMW an he knocks it out of the Park. Great to find honest knowledgeable people." This review underscores a reputation for trustworthy advice and effective repair work across a wide array of vehicles, which is highly valued in the auto repair industry. This level of confidence from a loyal customer speaks to the positive experiences some individuals have had, appreciating the mechanic's expertise and integrity.

However, a contrasting and highly negative feature is also present in the reviews. Another customer describes a situation involving a truck brought in for transmission repair where they felt "ripped off." This experience highlights concerns regarding **diagnostic thoroughness and repair efficacy**. The customer stated, "We told him what we thought could be the issue. He fixed that and didn't do any other diagnostic work. Less than a week later broke down again. This man is a rip off... When I called him he said I fixed what you told me was wrong. I said I am not a mechanic though. He did nothing to fix the problem. People like him shouldn't be in business and if I could give him zero stars I would." This feedback suggests a potential issue with comprehensive problem identification, and a focus on only addressing specific customer-identified symptoms rather than performing a full diagnostic. This approach, as described, led to a recurrence of the problem shortly after the initial repair, resulting in significant customer dissatisfaction and a perception of dishonest practice. This stark contrast in experiences suggests that while some customers find the service exceptional and trustworthy, others may encounter issues with the diagnostic process and ultimate resolution of complex vehicle problems.

Regarding promotional information, specific ongoing promotions for Sure Start Auto Repair are not available in the provided data. However, businesses categorized as "Auto Repair Stations" commonly use various strategies to attract and retain customers. These can include offering competitive pricing for routine maintenance like oil changes, discounts on specific repair services, or perhaps even loyalty programs for repeat business. The positive review mentioning "Great prices and excellent service" and "Great work & came in under estimated price" suggests that competitive pricing is a draw for some customers. While direct promotional campaigns are not outlined, the strong word-of-mouth endorsement from satisfied customers who value honesty and competence serves as a powerful form of promotion. Conversely, the negative review could act as a deterrent. Potential customers are advised to contact Sure Start Auto Repair directly at (865) 908-4939 or +1 865-908-4939 to inquire about their services, pricing, and to discuss any vehicle issues in detail. Given the conflicting reviews, it would be prudent for prospective clients to clearly communicate their concerns and expectations, and perhaps seek a detailed diagnostic report before authorizing extensive repairs, especially for complex issues like transmission problems.

We took my husband's truck here for transmission repair. We told him what we thought could be the issue. He fixed that and didn't do any other diagnostic work. Less than a week later broke down again. This man is a rip off. People said they would've told me to not take it there. When I called him he said I fixed what you told me was wrong. I said I am not a mechanic though. He did nothing to fix the problem. People like him shouldn't be in business and if I could give him zero stars I would.

We had his tow truck come get our car from side of the road. Our car started and stay running fine with a loud knocking noise. He called and said that our motor was blown, and metal shavings in the oil. My husband checked the oil before it got towed and at that time there was no shavings in oil. The guy that owns the shop won't even call for our claim so I can get a rental. He's really hateful guy, and I feel like he is not being totally truthful. We are going to have it towed to a different garage. I would not really recommend this garage. He is in no hurry and wanted us to pay out of pocket for a rebuilt engine, and we have a warranty that covers it. Big joke! Not good customer service!

Just got in to town for vacation and AC just stopped blowing cold air. Sound familiar? I checked all my fuses and relays. Did all kinds of research on the Internet to determine that I have no idea what my issue is and that the fix was likely out of my league. Of course the Ford dealership was booked 2 weeks out. Another place we called didn't have any availability the week we were in town. This is where Sherman, the Manager at Sure Start saved us. I called Sure Start, Sherman told me to bring it over and that he had 3 customers ahead of us. Having limited other options, I drove over right away. Pulled up to find him working outside on another vehicle. He took a quick break to diagnose my problem and within 10 minutes verified that my freon was good, however my AC clutch on the compressor was bad. He took the time to show and demonstrate the issue to me. He immediately called a guy and found a compressor, quoted me a reasonable price, told me to drop it off the next day and told me when he would have the work done. In the end, he had it fixed when he said it would be done and the price was right. I found Sherman to be a straight shooter, tells you like it is, and is of integrity. While this is definately not your dealership service mechanic (a little bit off the beaten path and garage has alot going on), Sherman helped us out by giving me confidence in his work, setting expectations and delivering on those expectations at a fair price. Rally appreciate what he did and now we have AC for the remainder of our vacation and the ride home. Thank you Sure Start!!!
