Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center Introduce
Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center, located at 1850 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829, USA, functions as an authorized Ford "Auto Repair Station." As part of a larger dealership, this service center is equipped to provide a range of maintenance, repair, and parts services specifically for Ford vehicles, as well as potentially other makes. They can be reached via phone at (866) 244-9343 or +1 866-244-9343.
As an authorized dealership service center, Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center typically offers a professional and structured environment. Dealerships often provide amenities such as comfortable waiting areas, complimentary Wi-Fi, and sometimes shuttle services for customer convenience. The aim is to create a seamless experience for vehicle owners bringing their cars in for service.
However, customer reviews for Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center present a mixed picture regarding the actual customer experience. One customer recounted an oil change and multi-point inspection where initial inspection observations regarding tire tread depth were inaccurate, requiring the customer to point out the discrepancy. While a staff member, Jennifer, was helpful in correcting the issue and providing tire quotes, the overall experience was described as "not bad service but could've been much better," indicating room for improvement in accuracy and proactiveness. Another review was more critical, detailing lengthy wait times for an oil change, excuses given for not performing a scheduled 45,000-mile check-up, a failure to identify clear issues like worn windshield wipers, and concerns about being misled regarding tire wear patterns to encourage new tire purchases. This customer expressed reluctance to return if not for a pre-paid maintenance plan. These experiences suggest that while the facility may offer standard amenities, there can be inconsistencies in service efficiency, the thoroughness of inspections, and communication transparency.
As an "Auto Repair Station" affiliated with a Ford dealership, Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center provides a comprehensive suite of services tailored for Ford vehicles, utilizing specialized tools and factory-trained technicians. Their offerings typically include:
- Routine Maintenance: This covers essential services such as oil changes, fluid checks and top-offs, and filter replacements (oil, air, cabin air).
- Multi-Point Inspections: A standard offering where technicians visually inspect various components of the vehicle, including tires, brakes, fluids, belts, hoses, and lights, to assess overall health and identify potential issues.
- Tire Services: This includes tire rotations, balancing, inspections for wear patterns and tread depth, and sales and installation of new tires. The center would carry a range of tires suitable for Ford vehicles.
- Brake Services: Inspection, repair, and replacement of brake pads, rotors, calipers, and other braking system components to ensure optimal stopping power.
- Battery Services: Testing, charging, and replacement of vehicle batteries, including genuine Ford batteries.
- Wheel Alignments: Adjusting wheel angles to ensure proper vehicle handling, tire wear, and fuel efficiency.
- Fluid Flushes and Replacements: Services for transmission fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, and brake fluid to maintain system integrity.
- Engine Diagnostics and Repair: Utilizing Ford-specific diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues indicated by the check engine light or other performance problems.
- Genuine Ford Parts: The service center uses OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Ford parts for all repairs and replacements. This ensures compatibility, quality, and helps maintain the vehicle's warranty.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Performing 15,000, 30,000, 45,000-mile, and other factory-recommended service intervals to keep vehicles running optimally and preserve their value.
The center emphasizes the use of genuine Ford parts and the expertise of technicians who are trained by Ford, ensuring that repairs meet manufacturer specifications. This specialization is a key advantage for Ford vehicle owners.
Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center, as a dealership-affiliated "Auto Repair Station," possesses several features that distinguish it, though some are accompanied by customer feedback indicating areas for improvement:
- Ford Expertise: Their primary differentiator is the specialized knowledge and training of their technicians in Ford vehicles. They have access to specific diagnostic tools and repair procedures designed by Ford engineers.
- Genuine Ford Parts: The exclusive use of genuine Ford parts for repairs ensures that components fit correctly, perform as intended, and uphold the vehicle's integrity and warranty.
- Comprehensive Service Offerings: As a full-service center, they can handle a wide range of maintenance and repair needs under one roof, from basic oil changes to more complex system diagnostics.
- Factory-Recommended Maintenance: They are equipped to perform all factory-scheduled maintenance, which is crucial for vehicle longevity and maintaining manufacturer warranties.
- Pre-paid Maintenance Plans: The mention of a pre-paid maintenance plan indicates that they offer programs for long-term vehicle care, which can provide cost savings and convenience for regular customers.
However, it's important to objectively note the challenges highlighted by customers, which include:
- Inconsistent Inspection Accuracy: Feedback suggests that the thoroughness and accuracy of multi-point inspections may vary, requiring customer vigilance.
- Service Efficiency: Reports of long wait times for routine services like oil changes indicate potential operational inefficiencies.
- Communication and Transparency: Concerns were raised about staff making excuses for not performing scheduled maintenance and potentially misrepresenting vehicle conditions (e.g., tire wear) to influence purchasing decisions. This suggests a need for improved communication and transparency.
These points indicate that while the technical capability for Ford-specific service is likely present, the customer experience, efficiency, and communication aspects could benefit from improvement.
Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center, like most dealerships, would typically offer various promotions and specials to attract and retain service customers. While specific current promotions are not provided in the prompt, common types of deals offered by Ford service centers often include:
- Oil Change Specials: Discounted prices on synthetic blend or full synthetic oil changes, often bundled with tire rotations and multi-point inspections.
- Tire Rebates and Discounts: Promotions on purchasing a set of new tires, potentially including manufacturer rebates or installation discounts.
- Brake Service Offers: Savings on brake pad replacement, rotor resurfacing/replacement, or comprehensive brake system checks.
- Battery Discounts: Deals on new battery purchases, sometimes with free installation and testing.
- Seasonal Maintenance Packages: Bundled services designed to prepare vehicles for specific seasons (e.g., winterization, summer check-ups).
- Service Coupons: Printable or digital coupons for a percentage off labor or a fixed discount on various services.
- Parts Specials: Discounts on genuine Ford parts and accessories.
- Military Discounts: Many dealerships offer discounts to active and retired military personnel.
Customers are typically encouraged to check the official Stokes Hodges Ford website's service specials page or contact the service center directly to inquire about the most current promotions and available coupons, as these offers are updated periodically. The presence of a pre-paid maintenance plan also serves as a long-term promotional tool, offering bundled services at a potentially reduced cost over time.

Stokes Hodges Ford Service Center Customer Reviews
My service was suppose to be an oil change and all points check. At the time of service I asked for a quote on 4 new tires. Once the oil change was done I saw that some of the inspection observations was wrong. The tech wrote that my tires had a tread of 8 and I told them that's wrong bc I need two new tires. Jennifer looked again and saw that I did need 2 new tires. I asked if they had the quotes for the tires and the guy hadn't checked so Jennifer looked it up and gave me 3 quotes. Not bad service but could've been much better.

Took them a long time to get an oil change done. Made up excuses for why they didn't need to do my 45,000 MI check up and maintenance. Said they found nothing wrong with my car even though I had been in desperate need of front and rear windshield wipers since the last time I brought the car in to be serviced. And they lied to me about the wear pattern on my tires in order to try and convince me to buy new ones. If it weren't for the fact that I had a pre-paid maintenance plan that gets me free oil changes for my new car I would not bother taking my vehicle to their maintenance department.

I had my vehicle towed to this dealership for a battery which was replaced no problem,. My issue is the driver's door handle came back damaged, and I'm unable to access the driver side. the handle look like someone was either locked out if the vehicle, or tried to break into it. When I called back to complain, I was told that's a separate issue. all they did was replace the battery. I think I'll call Greg.

Although I had to wait more than usual after making an appointment, they serviced my oil change and did the Worx well.
