Sam's Club Tire & Battery Introduce
For Sam's Club members in Johnson City, TN, and the surrounding areas, the Sam's Club Tire & Battery Center at 3060 Franklin Terrace, Johnson City, TN 37604, USA, serves as a convenient and often cost-effective solution for essential vehicle needs. While categorized broadly under Auto Repair Stations, this specific location specializes primarily in tire and battery services, leveraging the membership model of Sam's Club to provide goods and services directly to its members.
The environment of Sam's Club Tire & Battery is typically integrated within the larger Sam's Club warehouse store. This means customers have the advantage of being able to shop for groceries and other household goods while their vehicle is being serviced. The tire and battery center itself would feature specialized bays for tire mounting, balancing, and rotation, as well as areas for battery testing and installation. Given its retail warehouse setting, the waiting area for customers is usually the main club's seating area, offering a comfortable and spacious environment. The facility is designed to handle a high volume of traffic, reflecting the club's membership base. While specific details about the aesthetics or exact layout of this particular Johnson City location are not provided, the general expectation is a clean, organized, and functional space geared towards efficient service delivery, often within the larger context of a bustling retail environment.
The services offered at Sam's Club Tire & Battery are focused on key automotive components: tires and batteries. For tires, this includes professional tire installation for new tire purchases, which often comes with a package of lifetime services. These lifetime services typically include tire rotation, balancing, and flat repair for the usable life of the tire (down to 2/32nds tread remaining). They also provide Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) resets, though replacement TPMS parts may be sold separately. Additionally, members can expect waste tire disposal as part of the installation process. Beyond tires, the center also provides battery installation services, helping members select and install the correct battery for their vehicle. They may also offer complimentary services such as battery assessments and tire inflation. While it operates under the "Auto Repair Stations" umbrella, it's important to note that full-scale mechanical repairs (like engine diagnostics, brake work, or suspension repairs beyond alignments for tire purposes) are typically not the primary focus of a Sam's Club Tire & Battery center; their specialty lies in the sales and service of tires and batteries.
Key features of Sam's Club Tire & Battery revolve around its membership benefits and convenience. The ability to purchase tires and batteries at competitive "member-only" pricing is a significant draw. The included lifetime maintenance services for tires (rotations, balancing, flat repair) and complimentary battery installation add considerable value for members. Furthermore, a 4-year Road Hazard Warranty is often included with premium tire installation packages, expanding coverage beyond manufacturer defects to include common road damage. Emergency roadside assistance for four years from the date of tire purchase is another valuable feature, offering towing, flat tire assistance, fuel delivery, lockout service, and jump starts. The contact numbers, (423) 282-2303 and mobile +1 423-282-2303, allow members to schedule appointments or inquire about services. The convenience of being able to shop within the Sam's Club while waiting for service is a practical benefit for many members.
From a promotional standpoint, Sam's Club Tire & Battery heavily relies on the overall value proposition of a Sam's Club membership. The integrated services are promoted as an extension of the membership benefits, emphasizing savings and comprehensive coverage for essential vehicle components. Specific offers, such as 50% off tire installations for Plus Members on sets of four, are designed to incentivize purchases. The inclusion of free lifetime maintenance and road hazard protection serves as strong promotional points, highlighting long-term value and peace of mind. Customer reviews, while sometimes mixed on specific interactions, also contribute to the overall perception. For instance, "Mikey is always super friendly and is always beyond helpful" highlights positive customer service experiences that encourage repeat business. The facility's open hours are typically from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and Saturdays, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sundays, providing ample opportunity for members to schedule services.
However, customer experiences can sometimes vary. One detailed review highlights a significant negative experience related to communication and service follow-through. This customer initially praised the initial check-in process but reported a prolonged wait of nearly two hours for a tire replacement that was estimated to take 45 minutes to an hour. A significant point of frustration was the lack of communication, specifically the absence of a phone call when the car was ready, despite previous calls for rescheduling. The customer heard an intercom announcement about the store closing but not about their car. Upon inquiring, they were met with a service technician who seemed annoyed about waiting and asserted that the tire center had closed an hour prior and the car had been ready. Further discrepancy was noted between the itemized service report and the receipt regarding valve stem replacement, leading to an argument with the technician who insisted the service was done despite no record. The customer felt blamed for the technician's extended stay and questioned the professional ethics, particularly regarding the lack of a phone call. This experience led to initial annoyance and frustration. However, a significant positive update to this review indicates that after speaking with Eric and Michael, both managers of the department, the customer's frustrations were acknowledged and addressed. This resolution led to the review being changed from two stars to four, suggesting that the management is responsive to customer concerns and strives to improve service quality. The positive feedback about "Mikey" consistently being "super friendly" and "beyond helpful" demonstrates that positive customer service is indeed a feature that Sam's Club Tire & Battery aims to provide, even if inconsistencies can occur.

Sam's Club Tire & Battery Customer Reviews
How rude and annoying!!! So I just picked up my car. After paying in advance they called me to make the appointment. I had forgotten all about it so they called me to reschedule. I made sure not to miss it again!! Then they called me an hour before my appointment to let me know they had no work and I could bring it in early. I wasn’t able to get there super early. Maybe 9 minutes. The guy checking me in was fine. I confirmed two front tires replaced and valve stem replacement. I asked about how long. They said 45 minutes to an hour. I sat in the cafe for almost 2hrs waiting for a call. I checked my phone twice to make sure I hadn’t missed a call. A message over the speaker said the store closes in 30 minutes. I was starting to get worried and aggravated. I grabbed a handful of things and checked out. About 12 minutes to 8pm I decided to go check with them. Maybe they were having trouble with something. I rang the bell. The service tech with a beard comes out and tell’s the tire center closed at 7pm and my car has been ready for a long time. That ticked me off. They have called about everything else. Why didn’t they call me? I was just sitting there. Waiting. Too annoyed to respond I left. When I walked to the car I noticed the itemized service report and my receipt didn’t match. I had paid for valve stem replacement and their service receipt did not show that it was done. The price was also different not including the valve replacement on the service report. I figured I’d wait til the next day and call them about it. Then I saw the worker with the beard that checked me out. So I asked him about the discrepancy. He said no they had replaced the valves even though nothing shows they did. Then he immediately perceeded to again bring up that the tire center closed an hour ago. He seemed upset he had to wait. He was trying to school me. I’m like, okay. This guy wants to go there. He said they had called my name on the intercom. Something I obviously never heard. He was definitely frustrated with ME! I told him I heard nothing and that I had waited this whole time for a quick phone call. I let him know I was pretty aggravated to have just sat there. They had called me for EVERYTHING ELSE! He tried to make his poor work ethic my fault. Why didn’t he call me when they closed? Why didn’t he call me 15 minutes after they closed? 30 minutes? Never thought to pick up the phone? He even admitted to me the store could be loud and some people don’t hear the intercom. I’m pretty aggravated, frustrated and annoyed! I also bet they didn’t change the valve stems. It’s dark now but I’ll be having that checked. Overall experience….. completely annoyed!! Not my fault you stayed late dude! That’s on YOU! Edit: I’ve changed my 2 star review to a 4 star review after speaking with Eric and Michael. Both managers of that department. Both of them acknowledging my frustrations and addressed my issues. I felt confident that they were going to address my experience with the tech in question. I’m leaving feeling that my experience is not an experience that they strive to provide.

Broke one my center wheel cap and tried to hide it by rigging it back on. If they told me, probably wouldn't be an issue. It fell off when I went to wash my suv immediately after tire install. They don't make the XP package caps I have anymore. Just to buy the one is $80. Minor issue, but the hiding it was shady....

Just had my tires RB on my Audi and they did a phenomenal job. No more wobble at 80-90. No scratches like other places I’ve been to... And it was super cheap, 17 bucks! And I think they even RB my spare in the trunk?!?! Sams club automotive really outdid themselves. Give those men a raise!
