S & S Auto Center Inc

I am always worrisome and skeptical about auto shops - for obvious reasons. I have been to many where I have not returned for a second time. To put things in context, I'm 31 years old and I am no stranger to doing my own mechanical work across several trades. S & S Auto is a straight shop with good people that know what they're doing. I have no hesitation suggesting them to others. They are courteous, patient, and always accomadating, and super professional.

Reasonable prices. You will not get cheated here. Always serviced quickly for small jobs like a flat tire or oil change. They even texted me when my car was ready for pickup.

Very shady shop. I popped in early in the morning for a safety inspection (no emissions because of the year) and I was told I am not allowed to wait for the car. They told me to leave it with them and come back in 2 hours. This is a huge red flag, so I went to Midas on Jericho Tpk instead and they were done in under 15 minutes. I'm glad I listened to my instincts!!
